During the appointment, Janae and I spoke for about 15 minutes. I told her that I'd make an appointment for my annual physical in May. I went to the front desk to make an appointment for a physical and was told that the appointment that I just had was a physical. I called the next day to clear up any misunderstanding, and make sure my insurance was billed accordingly and was told by the receptionist that she would check "with the office". She called me back and informed me that, because my insurance wants people to have physicals at the beginning of the year, it was a physical. I then told the receptionist that I normally ask for full bloodwork to be ordered at my annual physical, and that I'd like an order for bloodwork. The receptionist then told me that I'd have to make another appointment to come back to the office before an order for bloodwork would be written. It's not unique to this office, but the entire healthcare system is a scam, one which this practice fully embraces. It's built upon making patients unnecessarily, and repeatedly, come in for appointments for the purpose of billing insurance companies.

The email below would sum up my last correspondence with their Wesley Chapel office. Very disappointing since I very much loved the care the clinical staff provided for my son. Not a terrible office, but beware of how their operation is managed. "Hello, It should have been notated in your system that the front office did not properly obtain and confirm eligibility for my son and continued to permit his office exam to be held with the Doctor. As usual, I asked if all was well and was told to have a seat until called back by the medical assistant. It was unbeknownst to me that my son's eligibility termed the same day we scheduled a same-day acute visit on 09/30/25. Someone should have checked his insurance as we scheduled the appointment via phone call or after we disconnected versus confirming that our appointment was accepted and all was set. I was also informed that the receptionist is no longer employed at the office and that she has made several mistakes such as this. That is an internal issue and I should not have to absorb the cost on the oversight. I have discharged my son from the practice and will no longer continue to communicate with anyone regarding this matter. The interaction above had with each staff member has been unprofessional, inefficient and ultimately ineffective. Please refrain from corresponding with me via email, phone, text, etc. Thanks. I have been filing with my daughter's FMLA for two years now and the doctor has always filled the information out for me and fax it over to My Job, But for some reason, it ended up canceling itself because the doctor never sent in my babies medical certifications. As I am updating the doctor with all of the necessary information and had the new information fax to her she told me to come to the office and sign the paperwork and I asked her did I need to bring my daughter and she said no because she's all up-to-date with all of her shots and she has no reason to come in. I kid you not, this woman at the front desk told me to my face that because of my daughter's needs, she needs to see her more often in order for me to sign her FMLA, I mentioned to her that that doesn't make any sense and why didn't you guys tell me that before I came here when I asked you guys if I needed to bring her, I live all the way in Brandon in this doctor is in Tampa and I took my baby to daycare already and they just told me on the phone, not to bring her, Next thing you know this lady goes in the back to go talk to the doctor and then she comes back and says unfortunately you're still gonna have to make that appointment just because of my daughter's needs. when I tell yall my majority of my whole entire family goes to this office and have been going here for more than 20 plus years, with me as a patient and later a parent of a patient of this office watching new people become employed into this office never have I ever been told to take my daughter somewhere else because you guys did not want to sign FMLA paperwork. When they called for my copay I already know it's the same 25$ all the time. Well this time the girl at the front (seemed very stressed out & probably new) tried to charge me 79$ when I asked her why she said "i don't know this is what it says" and I told her well I'm sry but why is it so much now if it's always 25$ she then began to work on another chart and kinda threw me off to the side. Then this other assistant who has in the past been very helpful steppes in and checked my chart. She told the girl that there was papers missing and that where did she get the 79$ from. She then checked the system and come to find out she wasn't processing anything right and had missed a step. My copay magically went back to 25$. If I would have been someone else and not known about insurance and copays I would have walked out overpaying and God knows if I would have been reimbursed. We were also seen my a nurse practitioner and to be honest she was much nicer and professional than the Dr herself. I asked the staff why the last time I went in they told me my daughter was late on her vaccines she said the dr should have been calling me to remind me. Well guess what.... The dr never calls me. This place is not worthy of the 5 stars. The staff is out to lunch and I've been waiting since this morning for the prescription that hasn't been sent to the pharmacy yet.
