The girl on the phone was extremely unfriendly and uninviting. Isn't this a sales job?? I had to pull teeth with her to get any details other then 'we have buy 5 get 2'. That's really the only full sentence she had for me. I was so disappointed that im not going. I'll try another place. Just wasn't welcoming at all.

I came in 2 weeks ago to start tanning for summer and was told that it had changed to Zoom Tan. Also, at that time found out they no longer have lay down beds. I tried the "Cage" but couldn't stand being in it. Trust me when I say cage. They are literally small cages that you stand in. I am so upset because now they will not refund my money. I was never told about the change until I physically came to the location 2 weeks ago. Had I known prior to the change that they were changing over to ZOOM with NO beds, I could have used my visits. When I bought my 14 visits at South Beach Tanning it was because I knew they had lay down beds. I did not buy a package of 14 to stand up. Tried speaking with store management and was told there is nothing they could do except to refer me to the customer service email address and phone number. I called the number and was told there is nothing they can do. I then wrote them and was also denied a refund. So these are the reasons for 1 star. If I could give you "ZERO" stars I would. Just crappy!

I registered for a month membership at the beginning of May. I went a couple times throughout the…read moremonth and had a great in store experience every time. I only needed the membership for one month and then during the month I paid for, I canceled online. However, after I cancelled online I noticed that it still charged my card so I called customer service the next day and was treated like a piece of trash!! The representative (Katy) insisted that I was lying to her and I didn't cancel when in fact, I did. She stated that there was nothing she could do since I didn't "cancel my membership." I eventually asked to speak to a manager or if she could escalate the call in any way because I refused to speak to someone who doesn't treat a customer with respect and she said that there was nothing she could do. I really wanted to like this company but it's hard when they call their customers liars. If you decide to get a membership here I CAUTION you because you will not be treated well if you ever have to contact customer service. This company has NO regard for their customers what so ever. They are money hungry and can't afford to refund a mere twenty dollars. It's truly sad.

South Beach is MUCH better when it comes to all three of these things. This morning I came in for a spray tan and I wasn't pressured into getting a membership or asked about adding different products to my tan. I wish I remembered the name of the girl working at the desk because she was very friendly and helpful. As a customer one of my biggest pet peeves is being coerced into spending more money for frivolous things when I already know exactly what I want. South beach made me feel comfortable and they were fast! I will definitely be back!
