    The inside

With the taste buds wanting to our good food, I decided to try out the TANDOORI TIME . Getting to this place is easy on GPS since it is almost the junction of highway 27 and Albion. I was surprised to see that the restaurant was almost empty but the inside was decently maintained. I ordered got Chicken Karahi, some spring rolls and PAPDI CHAAT. The chicken came with rice or naan. The taste of the food was very OK because the chaat was not fresh and it seemed like it was heavily refrigerated. We also ordered spring rolls which was not good in taste. The chicken Karahi however tasted very good. The main drawback about this restaurant is the quantity of food . Quantity is on the lower side. The staffs were very very friendly and looked super professional. I think that is very important for any restaurant business . To summarize, this place is an OK restaurant to check out. Definitely NOT A MUST TRY.

Come here religiously with my family every trip to Toronto. Today was no different. Amazing combo specials to feed all of us for almost $9 a person. The food comes in whatever spice level you like: mild, medium, and spicy! The ambiance is super casual and very chill atmosphere to be able to eat and talk comfortably. Love the CTM, Butter Chicken, Fries and the Chicken Jalfrezi!

This here is a decent ~3.5 starts~ restaurant. Folks we went to try this location during lunch hour. The service was excellent and fast as we were about 10 hungry coworkers. The food came out relatively quickly as we had called a head. I tried Fish Tikka Masala which is tandoori fish cooked in a thick spicy sauce with green pepper with salad and rice & as a side I also got delicious beef seekh kabab cooked in a clay oven. The food was cooked well and served hot. The restaurant has good seating area and their kitchen is open and you can see the person making naans through the glass. They have parking on site and its priced well. For my Muslim bothers and sisters - their menu is halal, stated on their site.

Great food and flavour and reasonable prices. Would recommend the curries and naan. Love coming here when I'm in the Vaughan area!

This place looks a bit dingy but they have a huge spread: 11 veg + 11 non-veg curries, plus 1 veg +…read more1 non-veg briyani ; there were rarer dishes like egg curry, methi malai chicken & rajma. On top of that, there's a dry meat corner & a fried stuff corner. They cover a lot of ground, eg there's both dry & gravy chili chicken. The spread is probably big because it's also used for takeout (I saw staff scooping food from the buffet into a container a few times). The food is mostly of decent quality. Best of all, they're really cheap: Saturday dinner was $17.99 plus tax. They get 4.5 stars. The fried rice was tasteless but the veg Hakka noodles were pretty good. The Butter Naan was decent as naan but a bit dry for butter naan. Butter chicken used tandoori chicken, giving extra flavour & had a very rich sauce (shared with the paneer makhani). It was especially good. There were quite a few desserts: fruit, 2 mini cakes, ice cream & Indian deserts, Both mini cakes were dry. The Indian desserts & fruit were decent. There were 6 ice cream flavours but 3 were super icy & hard & 2 were super soft.

The Butter chicken was slightly on the sweeter side and the garlic naan had a sufficient amount of garlic and butter. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal and would recommend it if you caving some wholesome food. However, I wish they gave more chicken pieces with the gravy. I would love to try their all you can eat buffet if I happen to be in the area.

Tip: Cold chaii drinks are available in regular and large sizes…read more I have been to a couple of Chaiiwala of London locations, both in Mississauga (Dixie and Erin Mills). The former is closer to my workplace. I like their cold chaii drinks. The last time I had one was at the Dixie location. I got a cold karak chaii. I loved it, except that it only came in one drink size and it wasn't enough. I needed a larger cup! After work today, I had dinner at Taco Bell. I saw this Chaiiwala of London across the street. I had no idea that there was a location in Etobicoke. I had to visit it. After I was done eating dinner, I got in my car. The catch was doing a left turn onto Albion Road during rush hour. I frankly had never made one because traffic tends to be horrific. I'm not sure what I did to have the stars aligned for me. Traffic was clear. I did my left turn and a quick right into the parking lot with this Chaiiwala. Yay! I backed into a spot with the sun in my eyes. I then walked into the cafe. There were seats to enjoy desserts, snacks, and drinks. I wanted a cold chaii to go. A woman was in the back making a sandwich. It gave me time to look at the menu. To my delight, the cold chaii drinks come in regular and large sizes now. Yay! I also had a choice of four cold chaii flavours. In the past, I recall seeing the karak and dirty chaii varieties. The lemon and pink varieties were new to me. I went with colour and price. The pink chaii was an extra twenty cents. It must be special. I ordered one in a large. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. The woman who made my drink was super nice. It took her practically no time to make it for me. She gave me a straw and had the nicest smile. I thanked her and happily left with my drink. The pink chaii was yummy. The chaii wasn't as strong as the karak. It does take its time to build up a bit. If you like a subtle version of chaii, this drink is for you. I want to get the dirty and lemon versions next. I do love this series of cold drink. I looked at the desserts. They looked yummy, as usual. I was too stuffed to get some. I'll be back for more. I love this location, the cold pink chaii, and the customer service. (394)

It's a great place for Indian cuisine…read more Food: We went for Chilli Mogo as an appetizer; Jeera Pulau, Baigan Bhartha, Gujarati Dal and Gujarati Roti as mains. While Chilli Mogo, Jeera Pulau, and Baigan Bhartha were good - the star of the meal was Gujarati Dal by miles. Being a Gujarati, I could recognize the homely authentic taste of the dal and it was the closest you can get to the original one which is more towards the sweeter end of the palate than spicy like the rest of India. Definitely to be tried. I am not sure what was Gujarati about the roti since it was pretty much like a standard phulka roti. Ambiance: It's a standard restaurant ambiance. They have a large seating area - very good for large groups of friends/family. There is a bar at the end of the dining hall. The design and the feel of the place were very much contemporary - close to fine dining experiences. Service: Service was quite slow but the food quality kind of made up for it. The person waiting on our table seemed like new (probably his first day) since he seemed quite lost and nervous. He forgot to serve water and it was only later that we asked for it, he realized that and apologized. Overall, a great place to try some fantastic Indian cuisine.

The Exotic Indian Cuisine is a gem!…read more We started off with vegetable sizzlers, vegetable manchurian sizzler, and fish pakora as our appetizers; butter chicken, malai paneer, dal fry, and double extra spicy vindaloo chicken (after asking for something to reduce the effects of the spiciness of the vindaloo, our host provided us yogurt) served with plain rice and naan bread as our main course. All of the food was flavorful and delicious, but the dishes that I enjoyed the most were the fish pakora and the butter chicken with plain rice and naan. For dessert, we had homemade mango, rose, and paan ice cream. I highly recommend trying the homemade ice cream. Our host was friendly in conduct, knowledgeable of the menu, and helpful to our group. When I say our host was friendly in conduct, I am referring to them making us feel welcomed to the restaurant. One of our friends asked our host how the homemade rose ice cream was made and our host explained in detail the creation process of the ice cream and recommended us to try the rose ice cream. Not only was our host friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to our group, but they were also attentive to us by providing us refills on water, asking about the food we ordered, and asking if there was anything else we wanted. Overall, the Exotic Indian Cuisine provides excellent food and service. I will come back again when I am back in Ontario!
