Don't be fooled by their outrageous radio commercials. I heard them many times and thought I would see what that say. They downplay the real value of your items, appearing to be experts. One of the staff members tried to tell me something I showed them was almost worthless. When in fact I already knew it was worth 10x the value they gave it. I heard about Tangible Investments on the radio. I inherited a box of coins from one of my relatives. I did research the company, but apparently I did not research them as well as I should have. They are 60 miles one way from me and I made the trip to their location expecting a reasonable welcome and to be treated fairly. The first time I went in, I took some coins to be appraised and to sell. I was given a low ball price on some of the coins. I did not realize that this business is not as honest as they claim. I foolishly went back a second time, I saw Ron again. This time he offered me less for the coins than he did the first time. When I called him on it, he gave me the extra value for the coins. Went in for an appraisal of a custom diamond engagement ring with an EGL certificate stating a value at $18,850 for the center diamond alone and was told that the color was a J when the EGL Certificate and jewelers appraisal has the color as an H. They said I might get $2200 for it. LOW BALL offer no doubt so they could then turn around and sell it for triple the amount. Independent jeweler said I could get $5,000 for it. This place is a joke. Travis helped my husband with a coin he needed for his collection, and Linda was there to chat with me while my husband paid and Travis wrote up the receipt.
