Cusack's on the Kenai - Rustic pallet bar for weddings and events

Cusack's on the Kenai

This is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast that I highly recommend! Their breakfast was amazing, as…read morewell as the location, where you can fish for salmon right off of the bank. Very clean and high end, with very nice finishes and toiletries. They also have all of the bells and whistles to professionally vacuum seal and freeze your fish to easily transport it home. I will definitely stay again! Thank you Cusack family for your generous hospitality!

Cusacks on the Kenai is a business that advertises weddings. It's a fine place to go if you want to…read morepark in a ditch along the road half a mile from the ceremony. Just be careful getting out of the car in your good clothes if it's been wet. Even if it hasn't been wet actually. Cusacks is very lively and regularly has complaints to the State Troopers for loud music after midnight. Everyone in the neighborhood is bothered by it. One never thought they'd be living outside the city limits by a honky tonk. But it's lively. That's for sure. There is also abundant wildlife including 8 large dogs who roam the neighborhood, poop on everyone's property and invade everyone's personal space including visits the front door. Imagine how that goes over by the resident dog. The Troopers have had many calls but so far the only suggestion is pepper spray. Outside the City Limits right. Imagine how awful that will smell at a wedding though. Anyway. I'm sure you can tell how well loved by the neighborhood these out of state entrepreneurs are. Yes. The web site spins some heart felt tale about sisters from Alaska, but the owner is one person from Out of state. But, they're making a buck so who cares right.

I've all of the reviews written about Tower Rock Lodge prior to mine here and highly encourage…read moreanyone reading this to do the same. You don't need, however, to get past even one to grasp just how special Tower Rock Lodge is. I find it difficult to contribute anything new to the accolades they've already received, and though tempted to do so, will not plagiarize the eloquently written words of those who precede me. All people/things have faults, and many people would lump service industry businesses in with businesses that tend to have more than their fair share. When it comes to Tower Rock Lodge, however, as hard as I've tried throughout my experience with them to find even one, I've not been successful...but will update this review if/when I am. Don't hold your breath. I'm a firm believer in the notion that "if something seems too good to be true, it probably is", and I'll avoid it like the plague. Tower Rock Lodge is one of the rare exceptions to this notion. It is truly good. So, not to waste any more of your valuable time, I'll cease to ramble and let you get on with booking them for your next Alaskan fishing adventure. You will be, as the rest of us here are, elated you did. Any best wishes I could extend pertaining to your real adventure, will be realized when you book with Tower Rock Lodge. Simply put, they are the best!

Gabe, the Executive Chef, made sure our bellies were full of excellent cuisine. Our sockeye, coho, and halibut fillets were eagerly enjoyed by our friends and families back home. The customer service we received was again second to none. I'm anxiously awaiting my next trip back to TRL and cannot recommend them highly enough. You won't be sorry.

Turns out the numbering was weird on the doors and it was nextdoor to the 2nd room we were given. Weird! Nothing spectacular, simple room with the basic necessities and fairly clean. Water pressure was nice and somewhat unexpected. A couple of the towels were stained, which is a bit of a turn off, even though you can see they're laundered. Breakfast is served nextdoor in an old restaurant. Typical hot & cold items for a hotel... waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt and plenty of coffee! The young lady tending to the breakfast was very polite and attentive!

The receptionist at the check in counter was very friendly and suggested I join the Best Western Rewards do I could get points and other promotions. So I did and then I received also some free bottles of water and snacks. The room was simply furnished and our had a private bath. Our room also had a fridge. The room was clean and appeared freshly painted. The free breakfast was in the restaurant across from the parking lot. You need to bring your key and show it to the attendant.
