Recommend the City of Sherman purchase this golf course and invest a few million into renovations…read more The rates should remain the same for Sherman residence since they would be using tax payer money. This could be a great attraction for Sherman, if done right. The courses does not really need to be redesigned just renovated.. 1. Sand the entire course or improve the fairways, and greens. 2. Put sand traps back. 3. Add restrooms and Water stations 4. Widen the practice range, get a ball dispense machine, etc.. 5. Need a new or renovated club house. NOTE: Sherman need to look at what Allen Texas did.

Fast-forward to today, and we're back this time staying at the resort for a full week and it's been really fun to see how the area has transformed. I haven't played a full round of golf yet, but as someone who has played in Las Palmas and La Quinta in Palm Springs, I'd say the conditioning of the course is pretty solid so far. I'm looking forward to getting more of a feel for it tomorrow as I explore more. What really stands out right now is the vibe: everyone has been polite, friendly, and welcoming. I drove here towing my side by side and the valet guys didn't miss a beat, they were able to find a space for me to park. It genuinely feels like home here, and I have a feeling I'll be a regular.

I had a great breakfast omelette which was perfectly prepared to order, and with crunchy hash browns to boot. We took a walk around the clubhouse and met the golf shop staff downstairs as well. During my time there I couldn't help but notice a staff member sitting at the bar during business hours playing on her phone. She was an older lady with glass in a blue hey day shirt. I did not realize establishments allowed employees to sit at an open bar during business hours playing on their phone, very unprofessional. Probably won't be back anytime soon.. kind of a bummer because the food and drinks were great. :(
