One of the best doctors I've ever had. I am so happy to have found Dr. Meisami. She is so kind, so smart and very personable. I wish she were my doctor for EVERYTHING. hahaha. I suppose she actually could be. She is quite popular so getting a regular appointment could take some time (I always schedule my annual as far out as possible) but if I need something right away, Dr. Meisami's PA, Jen - is equally amazing. Impossible to reach which is terrible for a healthcare provider. I wanted clarification on my mother's duplicate prescriptions being sent. Why 2 exact medications at different doses daily? Obviously one was a mistake. Not good. I was told I couldn't email, I couldn't speak to anyone but I could fax a question. Since I haven't had a landline for the past 20 years, I downloaded a fax app & sent her my question. When I called to make sure they received my fax, I was told by the exchange (which is the only human I could speak with) she can't give out information. Not even a yes or no. I never did hear from anyone. I've called so many times for my mother but have never ever had a response. Never. Ever. We will be changing doctors. read more

Dr Meisami is a the best doctor in the world. She always has a big smile with happy face even when she visit me at the end of the day when she is tiered. When I got sick her care in her office made me feel better like " I am in good hands". It is obvious how much she cares about her patients and providing them with the best experience. The most personable and thoughtful Dr I have ever been to. I was taken by surprise when I went in for a simple physical and she had actually reviewed my medical history before the appointment. This seems like it should be standard, but it hasn't happened for me ever. She was well prepared. I was also surprised when Dr Meisami actually did the physical herself... she could have had someone else do it. After years of searching and trying out various MD's, I have finally found my forever doctor! Dr. Meisami is the kindest, most thorough, and genuine doctor I have ever met. For over a year I sought out someone...ANYONE... who would help me with my ongoing fatigue. I went to three different family practitioners, a neurologist, hematologist, oncologist, GI specialist, immunologist, allergist, and rheumatologist. 10 doctors and about 5 different procedures including: Abdominal ultrasound Upper endoscopy Overnight sleep study, Full panel allergy testing And dozens of blood tests/labs Dr. Meisami took all my records and actually spent the time to brainstorm with me about what could be going on. She asked all the right questions and she didn't leave a single stone unturned. I've been a patient of hers for 3 months and I'm already feeling great. I'm taking Iron, B12, and Vit D supplements and we both now see that the deficiencies were the cause of my chronic fatigue. She thinks I could be doing even better based on my recent labs, so she is increasing my dose and wants to recheck my labs in a few months. She actually cares to make me feel 100%... even though I'm totally fine with 60% better. She's just a wonderful human being with a great heart. I am so appreciative and thankful for her time and sincere dedication to healing. My two kids and husband appreciate her too, because nobody was having fun with a tired and depressed 35 year old mommy! The entire team is wonderful! One of the best doctors i have ever had, and definitely has all the great traits you look for in a doctor. You can expect compassion, listening to all you have to say about your medical problems, with a definitive action plan to treat whatever you may have. I find nothing but great knowledge in medicine, attentive listening and most of all just an outstanding person who truly cares about you and your health. I was a patient of Dr. Meisami's several years ago. Then I switched jobs and had to get different insurance. I was so upset to have to say goodbye to her, because she's the best doctor I have ever had. Well, fast forward: I got new insurance and Dr. Meisami is going to be my PCP again in January! WOOOOOOO! This makes me ecstatic! My current group of doctors at Kaiser have ranged from "passable" to "seriously, why did you go into medicine because you have no compassion you heartless jerk" - I have to do all of my own research and problem-solving, and they don't take me seriously or really take the time to listen to my concerns. So, smell ya later, Kaiser. I've got a better doctor to see. Dr. Meisami is kind, compassionate and takes the time to listen. Many physicians seem to rely on their textbook knowledge to treat patients, which often just results in ignoring what the patient is saying and ultimately giving an incorrect or insufficient diagnosis. Our daughter was a patient here for about two years, from newborn until 2. Dr. Meisami was so nice and very knowledgeable but there was so much confusion and an extremely rude and unprofessional office staff we were forced to get another pediatrician. Dr. Meisami could not even visit us when our daughter was born due to not being listed as our pediatrician even though we had set this all up months ahead of the birth. The nurses and Dr. Meisami were always very professional and good bedside manners. Dealing with the office staff was quite a chore. They would routinely make scheduling mistakes. The last straw was when we came in for our appointment and were told it was for the following day, which we knew was not what we scheduled. They would not even accommodate us with a slot for the same day. It's a shame as Dr. Meisami is really wonderful. I would urge her to relocate offices. read more

To every problem, the answer is, "let's take some blood and we'll get back to you in a month." Waits are also long, the online communication between dr. and patient takes about 10 days and the office is terrible at fulfilling your request for medical records, changing appointments, pretty much everything. I am aware this type of General Practitioner is necessary today, but stay away from this one. Unless headaches and frustration are you cup of tea. read more

I've seen Dr. Meisami only twice but fell in love with her immediately. On our 1st visit, I told her that I've been wanting to get scheduled for a Physical but there were no openings till 2-3 months later. She said to email her and that she would either see me during her lunch hour or stay a little later. I never took advantage of that as there was nothing urgent but appreciated the fact that she was going to do that for me. Recently, I developed an issue over the weekend and went on the site (they use NextMD which is so friggin efficient, I couldn't believe it) to check the appointments availability. There wasn't one available until a month later! I sent her an email via that website and she emailed me the SAME DAY (Don't mind you, this was on the weekend) and said that she'll see me Monday morning. When I went in, she already knew what the problem was as I described in the email so she just checked it out and emailed my pharmacy for prescription. This is what I call a "good care."Not only she's efficient and fast, she really is a good health care provider. She'll spend the necessary time with you to provide superb care. I just can't say enough good things about her. Maybe except that her office moved and this is the wrong address. She's now at 520 Superior Ave. #360, Newport Beach. read more

I can't give a review on Dr. Tannaz. I would like to. I have been a patient for several years now, however I have never met her. When I have have been ill in the past the office can get me in to see the on call physician who was wonderful (Dr. Somers), I have seen him twice, and I have seen the PA once. I have put off scheduling a physical the entire time I have been a patient due to how far out they schedule them- months. I finally went ahead and scheduled one, calling in June, for an October appointment (first available). Well, a week away from my appointment and I had a meeting come up at work that I can not miss, and had to reschedule. Calling today, the earliest they could get me in was January. I asked why she was still listed as taking new patients when she couldn't see the ones she had, and they said she only does 3-4 physicals a day. 135 slots and no openings? Ridiculous. Time to find someone new. read more

Dr. Meisami is a good Dr. but her office is unorganized. You are put on hold for 15-20 minutes when you call in and the support staff have bad attitudes and don't help when they finally answer.It sounds like the support staff are high school students with bad customer service skills. Unfortunately, Dr Meisami's office is slow to respond to patient's needs and she seems to have too many patient's to service and respond. I will be changing Doctor's and would not recommend greater Newport. Very inadequately run office. I feel Dr Meisami has too many patient's and can't respond to needs fast enough. read more
