During the office visit, Dr. Bloom takes my and my spouse's health matter(s) seriously, is open to discussing options, and is an incredible reservoir of medical knowledge and good sense. I expected a referral to a specialist, but instead he began to treat it himself: ordering an MRI and putting me in a immobility brace. The treatments he prescribed caused me to develop new chronic illnesses. While failing to treat and resolve a patient's illness may be common in the medical community, and can be excusable, his attitude changed over time as I failed to improve. He showed signs of disbelief and began to dismiss my symptoms. I think he got in over his head by trying to treat my symptoms himself and couldn't accept his failure.
