I came in asking if there was availability for a blowout, saying that my schedule was flexible, and he told me he was available now. After repeatedly trying to tell him what I wanted, he gave me a horribly frizzy, rough blow dry while insulting my hair the entire time. When I told him it wasn't what I expected, he *offered me the blow dryer* and said your hair won't do that, here you try. In the middle of the blow out he scratched me so hard I literally needed to go out and buy antibiotic cream for it afterwards. Picture is after several hours of antibiotic treatment. After he was done rough drying, he added an insane amount of product that made it look as oily as day 4 hair. Thankfully a very, very sweet second stylist offered to redo it and she did an incredible job. I tipped her well, as she deserved, because she was in the middle of another appointment. She was able to give me what I asked for, so I guess my hair wasn't the problem after all. If the owner is reading this, this is for you: looking through other reviews I can see that you've been calling your clients liars if they give you negative feedback and have been telling them that's there's audio and video footage. That's wonderful news. You should go back and watch that footage to learn how to never, ever treat a client again. Utterly insane behavior.

So when I asked, she said it's because the original quote was a "discounted" .. $75 does not feel like a discount but why was there a discount and then when I decided to make it less complicated, there was no discount? I had a very disappointing experience at Flagstaff Nail Salon and will not be returning…read more I called ahead to schedule an appointment for myself and my two kids. When I made the appointment, I specifically told Mary that I wanted a gel manicure and pedicure done at the same time so I could finish around the same time as my kids, who were getting basic manicures and pedicures. Mary confirmed this over the phone and told us to come in at 11:45 a.m. We arrived early at 11:35 a.m. and I reminded Mary that my appointment was supposed to include my manicure and pedicure at the same time. She immediately told me they couldn't do that but assured me not to worry because I would still finish at the same time as my kids. She seemed to be in a bad mood, so I didn't argue. The salon was packed, with many people already waiting. Even though we had an appointment, we waited over 35 minutes before anyone helped us. Around noon, they finally started my pedicure, and shortly afterward my kids' services began. After my pedicure, Mary took me to her station for my gel manicure. She was on her phone while removing my old gel polish and was extremely rough. I tried to tolerate the pain, but after about seven nails, it became unbearable. I politely asked if she could be a little gentler. Instead of responding professionally, she looked at me and said, "Go sit at station 7 so someone else can do your nails." I moved to station 7 and then had to wait another 35 minutes before someone finally came to finish my manicure. By that point, my kids had already been waiting for me for nearly an hour. Unfortunately, the manicure itself was rushed and poorly done. To make matters worse, when I went to pay, Mary handled the transaction rudely, shoved the receipt toward me without saying a word, and walked away. Appointments should mean something. If the salon couldn't accommodate what was promised over the phone, they should have been honest from the beginning instead of having us wait and completely disrupting our afternoon. Good customer service includes clear communication, professionalism, and treating customers with respect. Sadly, this experience had none of those qualities. I will never return, and I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience.
