When we got up there were 4 booths empty, and all the small tables were empty and half the bar.... I think they told us to leave because it was like 30 mins since we ordered our last drink. Or they didn't want us there and made up an excuse. Either way... weird. I've stayed here before for a long time and bought less drinks and wasn't asked to leave. It was dead inside at 1030PM. Hot, tasty, a delicious blend of ingredients and plentiful to boot! Hubby ordered a beer, but I stuck to water. We took some home for breakfast. When I arrived, hubby was seated at the top of tge ramp. The upper level has seating to eat. When you go down a couple of steps, tge var us right there. Pool table over in a sort of secluded corner. There are mire rabies to sit and eat,cdrink and watch one of several TV screens on the wall. The bathrooms are down a long hallway, in case you need to go. The women's was clean, smelled ok and had several pictures of Damon's men on the walls. I can't tell you about the men's except that it is on the left before you get to the women's on the right. I opted for the Rodeo Burger, a big burger topped with an onion ring, sliced jalapeños, bacon & BBQ sauce. Wowza! Fabulous burg, can't recommend enough. I washed it back with a Left Hand Nitro milk stout, which is maybe a touch heavy, but it's fall and it worked right. Alex, our server, was super quick and attentive; food came fresh and ready, clearly not off a warmer, and the turnaround time was superb! The place has some high ceilings, and with plenty of screens to pay attention to, it might get loud during a sportsball session. But there's plenty of seating, both in the dining area and at the bar, and the decor fits not only the theme but the space. Easy to park, seating is quick, they're open until at least 9:00 daily, and the seasonal specials are definitely worth a look when you stop in.

The sauce is what is providing the flavor. The fries were crunchy and good. The food came out at a decent temperature. My friend ordered the Ginger Chicken Bites, Deviled Eggs and Truffle Fries. She felt the chicken bites didn't have any flavor and were okay. I felt the chicken bites could've had more flavor as well. It was fresh and hot though. She enjoyed the fries and Deviled Eggs. The Sunshine Old Fashioned and Paradise Peach drinks were 9.5/10! I ordered a medium well filet mignon, loaded baked potato and sautéed green beans to go. As seen in the photo, there were a SCOOP of green beans. The steak was overcooked and not even close to medium well which is what I ordered. My mother thought it all tasted good, it just wasn't cooked how I asked for it to be. I'd rate the overall experience a 7/10.

Never had a bad drink here. Our favorites are: The Last Word, Dizzy Dame, Cinder and Smoke. You can't go wrong with anything you order honestly. We could sit here for a few hours. It's also a speakeasy. It's under ground, you have to knock to get in. Overall it's just a cool vibe for something downtown in Wichita. It is my favorite spot to go. When our waitress came by, we told her it was our first visit and that we needed a little time with the menu. We ordered drinks, but they came out at odd times--two arrived quickly, while the other two took noticeably longer. My husband ordered a Bijou, which is a unique cocktail, and it seemed to take a while for the bar to figure out how to make it. Still, the drinks were good once they arrived. For food, we tried the burnt ends and the JoJos. The JoJos were excellent--crispy and flavorful--but the burnt ends were disappointing, served a bit cold and lacking in flavor. Things really unraveled with our second round of drinks. Service slowed to a crawl, and we eventually learned that our waitress had been sent home by the manager even though the bar was packed on a Friday night. A young server, only two weeks into the job, was left to take over, and unfortunately, he had no idea what he was doing. Another waitress stopped by to help but admitted she usually works upstairs in the restaurant and didn't know the cocktail menu either. The shift in service quality from the first round of drinks to the second was very jarring. There was live music, but the sound system wasn't great, so it didn't add much to the atmosphere. We did order desserts from the upstairs restaurant, which were a nice finish, but by the end of the night it was clear the staff was overwhelmed. As we left, we even saw the manager outside looking exhausted, which made us feel bad for the whole team. Overall, while the drinks were solid and the JoJos worth trying, the experience was inconsistent and stressful. Maybe we just got caught up in an off night of drama, but I wouldn't recommend Dockum for more than one drink.
