Upon sitting down I was presented with a few plates of tapas, some almonds, potato chips and sausages. Of course it's a steakhouse but I went for the tuna loin with plum sauce. Divine. It also came with a large plate of fries. At the end of the meal I was given a bottle of Pedro Ximenez and some Toblerone. Would actually come back to Madrid just for that meal. The Paella Mixta was buttery and smooth, with a combination of shrimp and chicken. The rice was actually the best part and paired nicely with the lemon. The star of the meal, however, was the Paella Negra, white rice doused with squid ink and cooked in a seafood broth with assorted sea critters. As a rabid seafood-lover, this pitch-black preparation blew me away with its savory taste and perfectly cooked calamari and shell-on prawns. This place has gotten mixed reviews elsewhere on the internet, but I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience.
