Terrible experience. The owner was very rude. I was picking up a Wish order that he ended up not having in the store. He proceeded to tell me that Wish orders were only as a courtesy and refused to assist me with canceling my order for refund. Then while I was asking a question about the process he told me I was holding up his customers for his primary business. You should never treat customers in that manner. Avoid this place. They repaired my broken phone screen. While they had my phone, they gave themselves a positive Facebook review, a positive Yelp review, and appositive Google review. I was very dissatisfied with the service. The phone was not repaired properly. Also the repair took 3 days. I dropped it off, was assured it would be finished in an hour, only to be told it would be 3 days because he had to order a screen. Such great customer service! I called in after finding their place on Groupon. My phone was a different one than what the deal was for, but the owner still gave me a deal. And the quote was already way lower than what I was quoted anywhere else! They fixed my screen and the phone looks new. There was a delay, but it WAS a Saturday so they had an influx of customers. But I was handled with the utmost respect and care from my call to the time I walked out of the door, phone in hand and good as new! It's located on Flat Shoals down from Moreland, so there are plenty of quaint and unique places to stop by while waiting for your repair, as well as a great new bakery next door. P12 days after it my iPhone 6 was "fixed" my screen is not even viewable, I can't receive or send calls and can't even unlock my phone...!At least when the screen was cracked I could use it. The repair shop broke my laptop. To make a month-and-a-half-long debacle as short as possible, I took in my laptop because the charging cord had to be positioned at precisely the right angle to charge the laptop. They ordered the wrong part twice, so I told them not to order it for a third time. When I got my laptop back from them, however, the laptop would no longer charge at all. I took it back to them along with the charging cable, and they told me it was in "diagnostics" for a full week. Then I got the call that they'd replaced my battery and "fixed it." I had just replaced the battery myself two months prior, and would have told them that if they hadn't just started replacing parts without consulting me. I went back to get my laptop and discovered they had lost my charging cable. I don't know how they thought they had fixed my laptop when they didn't even have the cable to check if it was working properly. They sent me home with a replacement and a promise to find my original one. Shockingly, when I got home, the laptop still wasn't charging. I brought it back to them again, and after calling every other day for an update, I finally told them to just give it back and refund me the deposit I'd paid for the part they never ordered correctly. They did. This time when I got my laptop, however, some of the stickers on top looked water damaged, like someone had spilled a drink on it, and were partially scratched off. There was also a new sticker from their shop notating that something had "sparked." Suffice to say, when I took it to a more competent repair shop, they told me it was irreparable and at least performed a data recovery for me. I will never go here again. I purchased a Groupon, didn't make an appointment, and stopped in less than 45 mins before closing. I purchased the wrong groupon and they didn't make a big deal of it, just charged the difference as a separate transaction. I went and fixed a screen on my IPhone XS Max at a place else where and got it factory reset or RESET or whatever. and they got my phone good. But I noticed when I got home there where a few technical issues. Settings would freeze, contacts take long to load. Long story short if your looking to buy a IPhone do not go here. Very disappointed. I am traveling. This was my 2nd attempt in Atlanta to get my iPad mini glass cover fixed. I called, made sure they could fix it, verified they had the part, scheduled an appointment, and confirmed the address. Because I'm traveling, I had to take Uber to get there. Then, once I got there, I learned that they don't fix iPad mini 3. First, this should have been confirmed in advance when I had them in the phone. Secondly, when you cost a customer money, a business should make it right. I'm out $30 in Uber fares and still don't have my mini fixed. Yes, $30 should have been offered to me. I called them and back once I got my facts straight and tried explain to him what I was told, but whomever that I spoke to was very rude. He cut me off while I was talking and then hung up the phone!!! I brought my cell phone in yesterday because my battery died and wasn't charging and explained that my laptop also had to be replaced that day and that I needed my cell phone to get into all my accounts because I'm autosigned in and don't remember any of the passwords. He told me that the phone won't be ready until this afternoon but changed the battery last light and LEFT IT ON. Replacement batteries are notorious for not charging so my whole thing with this replacement battery was to have enough charge to recover my account passwords. Now I have another dead battery and it won't charge because it is a replacement. The only utility of the battery would have been retrieving my passcodes but thanks to tapeworm I can't do that now. I remain locked out of ALL of my accounts until I can get a replacement phone now. Tapeword just wasted my time, $45 and the cost of the battery. He also wasted all my time yesterday driving all over Atlanta without GPS to get a replacement battery in the first place. Also because he left my phone on and it is now dead I can't even transfer aps and contacts to my new phone because I don't have charge left. Horrible customer service. I took my iPhone in the get repaired and the pixelation and clarity were completely different on my phone when I got it back. I immediately called and asked the owner about it when I got home and he said "I would get use to it". My husband has the exact same phone. When we compared the two the visual difference was huge. I went back in to see him face to face. He still seemed unconcerned and made me feel like it was my problem. Finally he said he would offer to try a new screen. I went back in and the issue was still there. On top of it my screen started freezing up multiple times. This NEVER happened before. $1000 phone down the drain! I had to go to my provider and buy a brand new phone! The damage to my screen was very minimal. Just the bottom left portion of the screen was cracked. I should have taken it to the place I usually go to. I've had way worse damage to previous phones and got it back in perfect condition. This experience makes be nervous to purchase services again on Groupon. Saving $40 ended up costing me $1000. read more

Had an awful experience here and will never give these scammers business again. My friend brought her laptop to Tapeworm Repairs because it had stopped charging and this business had good reviews. They took it in and said they would run diagnostics and either replace the charging port or the battery depending on the results of the diagnostics (they didn't even consider checking the charger despite being offered to hold on to it). There were no updates for two weeks when they finally emailed saying it was ready and that the charging port was replaced. The clerk had to be convinced to demonstrate that the laptop could now be charged before leaving the store. When he plugged it in the issue still existed! The clerk started stammering about the system diagnostics and tried to charge $65 for the "repair." Despite our better judgement he took the laptop back and said he would fix it for good. A few days passed and there was no contact from the shop, so we went to pick up the laptop repaired or not. We spoke to the supervisor on the phone to try to get our laptop back and he was instantly disrespectful and demeaning, claiming he wouldn't give us the laptop back until he was ready to for reasons totally unrelated to our laptop. The police were eventually called to help get the laptop back since they would not hand it over. When the police arrived the clerk and the supervisor began lying to the police about the situation. All the while the supervisor was holding the laptop out in the rain without trying to protect his customers' property from water damage. The police officer was no help so we had no choice but to pay to get our laptop back DESPITE the laptop being in the exact same condition it had been in for over two weeks. At this point the clerk had the audacity to try to charge MORE than what was originally quoted. More arguing brought the price of the non-repair back down to $65. Long story short: Tapeworm Repairs charged us $65 to hold our laptop in their store for over two weeks without resolving the issue. At the same time the clerk and supervisor were disrespectful and rude, lied to the police, and displayed utter incompetence in their line of profession. read more

My son's touch ID was working when we came in to get his cellphone repaired. The screen was cracked. Once the screen was fixed then the touch ID would not work. My son sat there for an hour for him to fix it, however the service tech chose the easy way out and stated that he could not fix it and somehow it's my son's fault. My printer is not communicating with my computer. Vincent said it's a problem that could best be resolved by having a tech come to my house. We set a time for 2 p.m. two days later. Nobody showed up, and nobody called to say why. I telephoned Tapeworm later that day to determine what happened and an employee said Vincent wasn't there but would call me right back. He never did. I assume Vincent changed his mind about sending a tech to my house (less than 3 miles from his EAV shop), but he lacked the fortitude to say so. Pathetic customer service. read more

Worst place to go to DO NOT GO HERE! had the WORST experience... a simple screen fix that was supposed to take 2 hours ended up taking 10 hours of waiting for the driver to get there with my part...fool finally shows up to tell me he forgot the screen for my phone...they brought it to me the next day without a Sim card.. I call em and he says the driver will bring it...I call the owner to let him know...he says the driver will there in an hour....3 hours later....dude never shows up so I come up there..... where the owner destroys my Sim card reader AND has to order a new one which will be here in 3 days to a week he said...3 WEEKS LATER I get a call to pick up my phone....only to find out that it's fixed...but all my pics music...videos everything was deleted and reset!! They didn't contact me to see if I could save my things somehow (which I could have) and just gave me a smug apology before I left. I was referred to this repair shop by a co worker and I must say that the experience has been the WORST. I originally went in to get my iPhone 6+ screen repaired and within 2 hours of the screen being repaired, the adhesive was coming of the side of the phone. I could now see everything under the screen of my phone. I went back to next day for him to fix the problem and he gave me a case to put on the phone this town to help the adhesive stay in place. Okay so now it's a week and a half later and my screen wants to blackout, be unresponsive and have a million lines going through it. I call the store to speak to the guy who has been repairing my phone and explain the problem... His first response is "well you know you're going to have to pay the difference". After this being my THIRD time having to come back to see you to fix something that should've been completely fixed correctly the first time I shouldn't be paying anything. So I got back in today to get my phone fixed... He fixes it and then says "do you want the case back that I gave you?" Lol really sir... At this point you can keep it, no thanks. I checked with several computer repair shops in the metro Atlanta area when one of my laptops needed to have the charge port repaired. Vincent from Tapeworm was quickly responsive to my request for a quote via Yelp and was actually the only merchant I communicated with who said he could perform the repair. (The others didn't seem to do any type of repair that required soldering or said they couldn't get the part.) He completed the repair quickly, included a 60 day warranty, and I intentionally waited to write this review so that I could confirm whether I'd had any problems since. I have not. I felt the price he offered was fair for the work he performed and he had no problem answering all of my questions (which I've had issues with from other vendors who act bothered with anyone who is detail-oriented and has performed their own research). I will definitely look to Tapeworm when in the market for computer repairs! read more
