Jose-Luis, Theo, and their crew did a masterful job of upgrading our small bathroom by adding an undermount tub. Work proceeded quickly and neatly, and the mess that always accompanies tile work was well contained and cleaned up. The project took somewhat longer than originally scheduled due to slow delivery of some materials, but this delay wasn't under Tappan Z's control. All the crew and subs were polite and quiet (when possible!) and most importantly they all CARE about achieving a workmanlike and good-looking result. Maybe I should start by saying I absolutely love Theo who with good humor, kindness, professionalism withstood all the crazy requests and unreasonable asks from condo/management board. This renovation wouldn't happen if it wouldn't be for that man. Moving on to his father Jose and their crew, which again are professional, kind, clean people and super talented at their own craft. I gave Tappan Z keys and few weeks later I came into a new looking apartment, beautifully painted, bathroom modern, shelving done, lights, carpets..: everything exceeded my expectations. My place feels like a different apartment, they truly took care of every detail and communicated throughout. I was hesitant to call a place I found on internet, however, from the moment they came to quote the price I knew I had the right guys. Love the results! Jose and Theophilo and their staff were all very personable, professional, and did an outstanding job converting our 1/2 guest bathroom into a full ADA compliant bathroom with shower. They always showed up on time; due to covid-19 they all wore mask, and maintained a distance of 6 feet. They gutted the existing bathroom and enlarged the room by added former closet space. They installed new green-board walls, flooring, toilet, sink, window along with adding in a beautiful luxury style tiled walk-in shower. I can't say enough good about Tappan Z Home Improvement...so grateful I found this company. Jose and Theo and everyone w/Tappan Z was always respectful, polite, reliable and trustworthy. They showed up on time, worked hard all day and cleaned up at the end of every day. I left my house on more than one occasion with no reservations at all. At planning stage, Jose offered suggestions for the bathroom reno that never even crossed my mind but definitely enhanced the end result. That bathroom reno is now complete and some days, for no reason at all, I turn on those new bathroom lights, stand in the doorway and just stare at everything. I am so pleased and even more amazed; they take enormous pride in their work. We discussed plans prior to demo and reaffirmed along the way as well, which lends to greater confidence and less anxiety. Prices are competitive and fair and the quality of their work is excellent. We needed to replace rotted wood on the outside of the house, and they went above and beyond to ensure that as they made the repair, they were improving the structure of the house. Jose & Theo did a great job in a messy situation. They were incredibly helpful and professional. They had to replace a third of our master bedroom ceiling due to a leak.
