She takes an ample amount of time with you assessing your needs before the massage even begins. She finds spots that no one else has ever found. Actually, her work can be very focused- she helped my husband with chronic pain that he has been dealing with for years. Plus, you spend at least 60 full minutes on the table, sometimes more! Her therapies are extremely nurturing and full of compassion- she really, really cares. Brooke not only gives an amazing massage, she also provides energywork if needed or requested. In addition, she has a psychology background, and utilizes it throughout her sessions, if you are up for it. I feel extremely grateful to be able to see her, and feel her work is an absolute gift of love. I will never go see another therapist as long as Brooke is available!

I especially appreciated the faith-based approach to the sessions, which made a huge difference in my journey. Abigail is a deeply caring person, and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

This review is regarding Abbigail Pederson at Rediant Light Counseling…read more When someone conducts themselves in personal settings in a way that is completely at odds with the professional services they advertise, especially services involving children, it raises serious concerns. During a large school event where Abbigail was engaging positively with students by giving them high-fives, she repeatedly ignored one child's multiple attempts to be included, while continuing to acknowledge other children sitting right beside them. The child was left visibly upset, embarrassed, and confused in front of his peers. That child was our twelve-year-old son. At the time, he was so hurt by the incident that he quit the after-school club activity, and I stopped volunteering as the leader of the group as well, despite the team winning locally and getting ready to compete at state. Additionally, because of what we witnessed, and after learning she was affiliated with the counseling center we were taking our son to, we no longer felt that setting was emotionally safe for him and chose not to return. I am sharing this publicly now because, during my son's recent intensive therapy related to long-term medical trauma and chronic pain, this incident resurfaced through EMDR as having been far more emotionally damaging than we realized at the time. If I was a parent considering Abbigail for my child's therapy, I would want to know about this side of her and the impact it's had on another child. Abbigail's professional messaging emphasizes "helping people thrive". but for me it's difficult to reconcile that message with behavior that was so dismissive, publicly humiliating, and so lacking in empathy towards a child. While this occurred outside of a clinical setting, it raised serious concerns for me about the empathy, judgment, and the emotional safety one would expect from someone working with vulnerable children. 3/26/26 - Update to response - The school was never involved in this matter. We were never contacted by Abigail to discuss her clear concerns about our son or her actions towards him. The offer from Abigail's former employer would not allow our son to be involved. He wanted to know directly what he had done to explain being left out and, given, his hurt we felt that it was important for him to be heard and present in the discussion and they would not allow it. The incident was between Abigail and our son and therefore they both should be present for productive resolution. I feel my initial review fully explains how this incident directly relates to her work as a therapist. This is just our experience with her - any potential or existing client can draw their own conclusions on what is right for their family and children.
