I know every review I've read today has been bad, but for my part, I've only had one bad experience with TAPS in the 2 months I've been riding with them, and even then they got me picked up & returned home. Of course, I'm only traveling within the confines of Gainesville, TX, so that may be a factor; however, their service has been exemplary, and they've picked me up within the standard 30-minute time-frame quoted. Heck, they've even gone so far as the driver calling me on my cell when I was running a few minutes behind catching my ride back home because I got delayed trying to get through the checkout at Walmart! For the price and convenience, you can't beat 'em, so I give them 4 Stars! Thank you TAPS, I couldn't have made it these last two months without you! read more

Do not i repeat DO NOT use that new taps service if you have to be somewhere at a certain time! they run late, even if you TOLD them when you called to make your reservation the time you had to be somewhere! i just lost 8 hours of work today because of them! i had to call my job to try and find a ride and was told "stay at home, because we dont want you to have a tardy because of the bus"! DO NOT USE THEM! they are fucking useless! this is why wylie and its surrounding areas need DART, at least they run on time within 5 minutes even when its fucking raining! i will NEVER use this service again or even attempt to use this service again! from now on if i need a ride ill just call a damn taxi as they are more fucking dependable! read more

So I'm supposed to get picked up from my home sometime soon after 5:30, so I can be brought to the McKinney park and ride then the Plano park and ride by 6:30. Why for the past 4 days (and 4 times in the past 3 weeks), these drivers have picked me up so late I miss the first bus because the schedulers have screwed up. So this morning I called to see where my ride was, hoping not to have a repeat of the past few days. I spoke to this lady and told her my ride wasn't here and asked where it was. She told me it is supposed to be at my apartment between now (5:50 something) to 6. I was like "Wait, this is the third time this has happened this week! I'm going to be late for that 6 o'clock bus. And I know you guys aren't going to bring me straight to the Plano park and ride are you?" She like, no. I told her that that was unacceptable, and my mouth got away from me, and I dropped the f bomb. She was like, "If you're going to use that tone with me, I'm going to disconnect you," you know instead of, trying to calm me down and try to fix the issue, or say I will have a manager call you... I work in a restaurant, a place where it is nothing but customer service; if a customer comes to me displeased I don't tell them if they don't fix their tone right that second, they will be removed from the premises, I try to fix what I can, and what I can't fix, I will notify my manager. Yes I'm mad that I did not get scheduled correctly, and I know I'm not the only one - I have talked to several people the past few days and I'm not the only person this has happened to since the time change - what angers me is that I was basically told "F*ck you. I can't speak for the actual service, but I can speak for the driving of their drivers. One pulled out in front of me from a day care center, and I had to break pretty quickly. When I pulled up beside him to tell him that was a stupid move, he laughed. I snapped his back plate, 116 1297, bus 283, at Hwy 5 turning north on El Dorado. I then called the 855-331-6732 number on the back that asked "How's my driving?" and left a voicemail telling them how it was. No return call. Ride at your own risk! read more

I don't even want to give them one star. If there was an option for "they owe me a star" then that would be appropriate. We have attempted to use this service for the last 3-4 months for our 15 year old daughter, for her to get occasional rides from work to our home. I can count on one finger how many times there was an actual ride event that didn't warrant a complaint. I have filed at least 10 but have given up. Today was the last straw. The bus NEVER showed up. After 2 1/2 HOURS later still had not shown up. During this time I was of course calling them to find out what happened. "Well Ma'am the driver said he is there now and no one is outside" Well, my daughter and her employer were both at that moment sitting on the curb in front of the house (designated pick up location) waiting. The driver lied twice tonight saying no one was there. My daughter, her employer, and that lady's son...along with other neighbors who were curious....all sat out front waiting for hours. No bus. I spoke with Leslie and Peggy at customer service who were both sympathetic but were powerless to do anything. "I'll email the dispatcher." Do they not have PHONES? Can no one pick up a phone and call me?? She is a MINOR waiting for a ride. At a location that Taps has been to several times before. How are they getting the address wrong??? I was a frantic Mom on the phone trying to figure this all out and no one would help. They could only say for me to file a complaint. How does that get a 15 year old HOME??? Complete incompetence. Finally I am on the phone with "Alexis" and I am in tears...I say "what would you do?" and she responds "I would go get my daughter." Well Asshat if I could do that I wouldn't have scheduled the ride. They have either point blank lied or they have drivers who can't read a map/use GPS. Regardless....beware and do not use. This is not just a one-off complaint. They have been late (past 1 hour) several times before, over-charged my daughter, cancelled rides without notice...list goes on. Ride at your own risk. Always a 20-30 minute hold to talk to anyone!!! Then most often told all rides are full no more room!!! Really I call weeks ahead on the date I was instructed to by the scheduler & they were full?!?!? Sent in paper work for ADA approval & rode for over 3 months identifing myself as ADA complent no problem , then all of a sudden a scheduler said" you are not on our list for ADA". What!!!!! I've rode for 3 months with NO issue , now suddenly I'm NOT on your list?!?!?! I've left 4 calls to get this straightened out, NO call back. All I want to know is what is the issue, ???? If I need to do the paper work again just let me know!!! OMG!!! Are the inmates running the place?? One positive , most of the drivers are very pleasant. Even they have said what a mess this organization is!!! Hope some city officials are reading this & get to the bottom of this poor service. Many people depend on this transportation for work, doctor's appointments, chemo therapy , dialysis, food shopping, & many other extreamly important matters. Please help & fit this!!!! read more

Three times No one showed up to take me home from my doctors appointments until I had call them several times,They sent one of my rides to the wrong address to pick me up when they had the address where I was to be picked up. Some of the drivers were telling the office that they had been to get me and I wasn't there ,when i was sitting there watching for them some time for 2 1/2 hrs, trying to get some one come get me. This last 2 times They didn't get to my house to get me on the 9 of Oct. until 15 min after my appointment time, I had to cancel my Doctors appointment and get an other date to go. The next day on the 10 Oct they had \n't got to my house for 25 min after my appointment time so I call that doctor and had to change times again.Doctors will not take you if you are 15 min. late .I am not able to drive any more .and don't have many ways to get to my appointments.anymore. Before TAPS added all this new stuff on they were pretty good. Good drivers and they got you there on time,But since They added all the new routes and drivers it is no good at all. DON'T DEPEND ON THEM IF YOU HAVE TO BE SOME WHERE AT A CERTAIN TIME. YOU WON'T MAKE IT. read more
