    Cooler with beverages

Taqueria Cordoba has been on my list of restaurants to try in Willimantic for a while. This restaurant does a very brisk takeout business and it was time to find out why. I visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my mother-in-law. We both ordered Taco Special tacos which is a 50 cent up charge from the basic tacos, but includes all of the fixings one wants on a taco: cheese, lettuce, tomato, diced onions, cilantro, avocado. I had a taco with lamb and one with steak. My mother-in-law had pork and chicken as her meat choices. We both found the meat to be tasty yet covered in grease that dripped from our tacos and all over our hands. Overall, this restaurant is small. When you walk in there is a counter to the immediate left that has takeout menus and the register. Cash and credit cards are accepted. There is a very cluttered area next to the register counter that looks like additional storage for dry goods and other items. There are a total of six tables. Four four tops and two six tops. Towards the back of the dining area are two coolers. The cooler on the left has beverages. The cooler on the right appeared to contain food items for sale. Beyond the coolers are the kitchen to the left and bathrooms to the right. We had an overall pleasant experience with the staff and dining-in at Cordoba's. I would recommend others give the food here a try.

I was going to gate keep this place because it is literally the best place to eat mexican food in Willimantic & the restaurant is always packed with the locals. Visit this restaurant! You'll never regret it! + $5 large horchata is incredibly huge and literally the best horchata you will ever have in your life (at least it was the best for me)!!

Tried Cordoba for the first time after passing by hundred of times. It is just take out at the moment, I am not sure if they will have table sitting after COVID. We ordered three different dishes: steak tacos, which came with onions, cilantro, and fresh salsa. My companion ordered a large chicken sope, súper delicioso. Also a yummy chorizo quesadilla. Prices are very reasonable and the people are warm and friendly.

This was a decent place to get lunch. It seems a bit understaffed, because when I walked in there was no one there and I had to wait a couple minutes for help. The food was good, though. I enjoyed my quesadilla (maybe could have used slightly more flavor, but it was still enjoyable) and the portion sizes here are pretty big. I got a small quesadilla and it was definitely very filling. My brother got a burrito and it was HUGE. Usually burritos are finger food, but this needed a fork and knife.

Gave this place a try after a recommendation and was nothing but satisfied! The quesabirria tacos were outstanding and have yet to be rivaled, had to come back and get them again soon after. The regular tacos are also very good as well! Horchata was the perfect addition and well priced for only $5 for a large. The food price is higher than other Taquerias in the area and expect a little of a wait for your food but is worth the wait in my opinion.

The chicken taquitos were really good too, there was so much topping it was like having a salad with my taquitos! During lunch, it was not that busy. The place was very cutely theme, a modern take on mexican traditional decoration.

I recently started a deep dive of highly rated taco places in Willimantic, and A Mano Taco Shop is…read moreone of those places. A Mano has a different POV than the other Willimantic places I've tried so far. While the other taquerias I've tried are more or less traditional (Pastor, Bistec, etc. with cilantro, onions and a few other classic toppings), A Mano has a more modern and creative take on tacos. In terms of the Willimantic spots, A Mano is the most modern in terms of art and the space, which includes outside tables on a wood deck out front, and at least one small inside table. I'm not sure if they had additional seating in a different room or upstairs, but that's possible given the building design. I suspect they have a robust takeout business as well. I ordered a Pastor Taco, and a Sweet Potato Black Bean Taco. The corn tortillas were fresh made and very good. The tacos arrived with the small round tortillas mostly flat and side by side in a takeout container, and the toppings artfully displayed on top. The toppings were slightly different for each taco. The pastor taco had marinated pork, pineapple chunks, micro greens, and avocado based salsa. I ordered a Pastor taco at each Willimantic place. A Mano was the only one so far to feature pineapple chunks, which I really like for Pastor tacos. This sweetness was important for balancing the saltiness from the pastor. Without that sweetness, the flavors would have been out of balance. The pastor was tender. The avocado salsa was good. I like the use of microgreens for the color, shape and fresh flavor it brings. A definite way to distinguish your taco. I ordered the sweet potato black bean taco because I've never seen it on a menu and I was intrigued. I was expecting the sweet potatoes and black beans to be in pieces, but the presentation was actually puréed or at least stewed to a smooth texture. This taco was topped with the same micro greens and avocado salsa, but it had pickled red onions. This taco was well executed and looked great, but if I had known it was going to be puréed, I probably would have gone a different direction just based on personal preference. I like that A Mano has different toppings for different tacos. In addition to the above toppings, I noticed corn, cilantro, slaw, mango and more as different toppings on certain tacos. A Mano's menu features other cool things like Birria Ramen, Street Corn, loaded fries, churros, flan. It's definitely the type of menu you'd like to explore. Service was very friendly. Both service and the atmosphere are a factor in my 4.5 Star rating, which rounds up to 5 Stars. If I was just rating the tacos, the score would be 4.25 Stars.
