What I didn't appreciate was, when I paid and the screen gave me the usual tipping options, the suggested tip STARTED at 25%! The options were 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40%. I mean, the service was good, but 40%?!?! Seemed quite over-the-top and honestly it was a little offensive (and I consider myself a pretty good tipper, usually tipping at least 20-25%). That turned out to be the smaller problem. Later that same day, two of the three people who ate the food were sick -- food poisoning, diarrhea, the works. I had to go out and get medication for people I care about because of a meal that was supposed to be a nice afternoon out. I brought the uneaten food back to the restaurant. The manager -- who told me he was the owner -- looked at it, heard the whole story, and offered nothing. No apology that landed, no replacement, no refund, not even a gesture. Just stood there. Wrong order, sick guests, hostile staff on the phone, and an owner who doesn't think any of it warrants a response. Spend your money somewhere that cares whether you walk out healthy. I've attached the City of Everett routine inspection report that I filled with the city. This year alone, they've received two violations.
