I went here for the first time about 3 weeks ago. I went back again last weekend. I order the Signature Burrito, which is smothered in their mole sauce and stuffed with diced chicken, rice and beans. So delicious. I'm not particularly picky with my Mexican food but this stuff is delicious. I recommend trying the signature burrito. read more

This place is cute and the ambience is relaxed and welcoming. The staff are friendly and greeted us with enthusiasm even when we entered close to closing. It was late in a long day out and La Hacienda was thankfully open while most places seemed to be closed by 9pm. Chips and salsa were brought to our table of 4 right as we sat down. We were given menus right away and offered waters. The chips and salsa aren't anything to write home about but, for a complimentary item, I won't complain and it's always appreciated. I ordered the 4 tacos, thinking that they were going to be street style tacos and I was a bit disappointed that they were served in hard shells. I've never been a fan of "crunchy" tacos and I did not assume a Mexican cuisine centered restaurant would serve "hard" tacos. I guess that's on me for not reading the menu closely enough. My wife ordered the taco salad which was arguably better and more of what you expect when you order an item by that name. Value for what you're ordering, the prices are fair and the food is "good" and will do in a pinch. It's your more vanilla version of Mexican food but if you don't mind another take on Tex-mex then the service and ambience make this a nice place to visit. read more

We met friends here for dinner. I've been here before and been disappointed but willing to give it another shot. I had the carne asada burrito. It was good, but filled with more beans than steak. My husband had the pork carnitas. He was disappointed. It had no flavor. Our friends had carne asada and said it was delicious! They also had the molcajetes. Now, that was a hit. We all tried it and loved it. I guess if you order correctly, this place can be terrific. I plan to go back and give other items a try. Came here because Playa was closed and unfortunately did not have a good experience. The service was okay, 5-10. Got seated quickly, and politely but 15 minutes after placing our order the waitress said she forgot what we ordered, not to upset about that it was busy. The food in my personal opinion was not good at all. I got the portobello fajitas and the mushrooms were either way under cooked or over cooked, super chewy. The texture was just off. I'm surprised by the reviews - it was really good food! There was a mix up with our check but the waiter was nice about it and fixed it promptly. I had the Cadillac margarita and my friend had the guava, she said it was a little sweet. I had the trio fajitas and was so impressed by the meat! It had some steak, chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was actually large and not skimpy like most places. Chicken wasn't dry, steak had a nice char taste. My friend had the mushroom fajitas and said they were great! Fish tacos - 6/10 Chips & salsa - 4/10 Guacamole - 8/10 Service - 6/10 I'm from Texas. Moved to the area not too long ago and the acquaintances I've made tend to come here regularly. I decided to give this place a try. I will say that the guacamole was the game changer for me. I would definitely order the guacamole and just eat that if I could. The fish tacos weren't bad but they weren't seasoned enough for my liking. If I were to get them again I would try them with flour tortillas, instead of corn. The good thing is that the menu here is extensive. So, I'll definitely be trying something different next time. An acquaintance had the Molcajete and it looked sooo good except it had chicken in it, and I'm a pescatarian. But he said he would get it with shrimp next time. Soooo we shall see. Service was good. They were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a nice family friendly energy and I would definitely be a regular here. Overall the restaurant has a nostalgic feel to it. Don't know if it's fresher dining in but I'm a takeout girl and this place went from my hero to darn near a zero. Each dish tastes premade and heated up. Flavors are bland. Hardly any red sauce on enchiladas. Nachos are soggy. Combo dinners with rice and beans give hardly any refried beans (barely any cheese) but mostly rice that has zero flavor. Very stingy on salsa unless you ask for extra. Staff is always nice. Takeout is a disappointment. Prefer Playa Bonita over LaHa. read more

My carnitas plate was super tasty and the Hubs enjoyed his chicken enchiladas. Chips were really good and the salsa was flavorful and very spicy. Third times a charm. Last night we ordered take out and it was delicious. I got the green enchiladas, chimichanga and a pork plate. The chimichanga was soggy beyond help. Not sure why they can't put fried timings separate from the soggy things in the meal for to go orders. But we've had a problem with the hard shell taco with our combo plate before. They set it right on top of the soggy sauces. It was good though. Knocked a start because I had to purchase a whole carnitas plate that cost more than anything else unbeknownst to me prior to ordering because they don't offer anything like that for kids. It's definitely not anything to get too excited about. Just your typical mexican restaurant you'll find in a town/city. The food was good, i love mexican food so i'll be satisfied anywhere I go if there's chips, salsa & guac. Both my parents were satisfied with their meals & my 6 year old inhaled his cheese enchilada. The carne was good, not amazing, but good. I ate the whole thing, so that's always a plus. The service was a little slow, we did go around 5PM, which is the dinner rush but the server wasn't really paying too much attention to our table & my dad had to ask for refills more than once on his Coke. All-in-all, Arlington is a pretty small town, so you don't have options. But if you're in the area, this isn't a bad joint. Good service but the food is a real let down. Skimpy meat portions, soggy Chimichangas, beef burritos full of beans, just not impressive. The La Ha in Marysville is much better. It just feels like the owners in Arlington just stopped caring. I have eaten here about 4 times over the course of last year and this last visit truly will be my last visit. Had lunch there today with a couple buddies and it was about as meh... as lunch at a Mexican restaurant could be. A couple of us got the two enchiladas lunch special which is $10. Which seems like an OK price until you see the scrawny little enchiladas they put on your plate.
