This place is cute and the ambience is relaxed and welcoming. The staff are friendly and greeted us with enthusiasm even when we entered close to closing. It was late in a long day out and La Hacienda was thankfully open while most places seemed to be closed by 9pm. Chips and salsa were brought to our table of 4 right as we sat down. We were given menus right away and offered waters. The chips and salsa aren't anything to write home about but, for a complimentary item, I won't complain and it's always appreciated. I ordered the 4 tacos, thinking that they were going to be street style tacos and I was a bit disappointed that they were served in hard shells. I've never been a fan of "crunchy" tacos and I did not assume a Mexican cuisine centered restaurant would serve "hard" tacos. I guess that's on me for not reading the menu closely enough. My wife ordered the taco salad which was arguably better and more of what you expect when you order an item by that name. Value for what you're ordering, the prices are fair and the food is "good" and will do in a pinch. It's your more vanilla version of Mexican food but if you don't mind another take on Tex-mex then the service and ambience make this a nice place to visit.

We met friends here for dinner. I've been here before and been disappointed but willing to give it another shot. I had the carne asada burrito. It was good, but filled with more beans than steak. My husband had the pork carnitas. He was disappointed. It had no flavor. Our friends had carne asada and said it was delicious! They also had the molcajetes. Now, that was a hit. We all tried it and loved it. I guess if you order correctly, this place can be terrific. I plan to go back and give other items a try. Service was fantastic and the restaurant was clean and welcoming.

Fish tacos - 6/10 Chips & salsa - 4/10 Guacamole - 8/10 Service - 6/10 I'm from Texas. Moved to the area not too long ago and the acquaintances I've made tend to come here regularly. I decided to give this place a try. I will say that the guacamole was the game changer for me. I would definitely order the guacamole and just eat that if I could. The fish tacos weren't bad but they weren't seasoned enough for my liking. If I were to get them again I would try them with flour tortillas, instead of corn. The good thing is that the menu here is extensive. So, I'll definitely be trying something different next time. An acquaintance had the Molcajete and it looked sooo good except it had chicken in it, and I'm a pescatarian. But he said he would get it with shrimp next time. Soooo we shall see. Service was good. They were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a nice family friendly energy and I would definitely be a regular here. Overall the restaurant has a nostalgic feel to it. It's like catching up with that one close friend you haven't seen in 10 years, and the entire time you just can't stop smiling.

Best Mexican food in town! Always super quick, whether we place a pick up, or dine in. Also their margaritas are a must have.

The base for cooking birria can't be rushed it has to be cooked with love and allowed to develop the rich flavors of all the spices. My criteria are: 1 flavor development of the actual beef. 2 crispness of the taco itself. 3 balance of the all the ingredients inside the taco itself. 4 overall flavor and body of the consume. From my prior experiences I have had bland meat that was not seasoned properly or cooked too fast. Greasy limp tacos dipped in greasy consume that tastes like soup stock. I can always tell when the beef has been rushed. Tacos la mas fregona has hit a home run in all categories. Beef slow cooked with love, crispy tacos with perfectly balanced additions love the pickled red onions on the side. Acid plays a critical role in overall balance of any food. A lot of vendors missed this important staple. The consume was spot on. Great flavor and body without being overly salty and there was just enough oil to add to the over body and flavor without over powering it and turning it into a greasy mess. Very well done! I have finally found what I have been searching for! Oh yah and the owner is super friendly. Very nice lady.

The meal and service were good. Pretty standard Mexican fare with rice, beans, chips, and salsa. When paying you get to use their iPad. The pre-determined tips START at 25% and go to 40. Rarely do I get a meal that's worth 30%, anywhere, and nowhere has a meal been worth a 40% tip. I havent had a meal at Paraiso that was worth a 25% tip. Yes, you can enter a custom tip. It's just so nervy to even consider asking for tips this big! The location is next to a post office, views are of the parkinglot.

This is a cute little spot that's a bit off the beaten path. It's a large space, with a separate bar and two distinct restaurant seating areas. The place was very clean and decorated with festival wall murals (plus some lovely Christmas decor). We decided to order a couple of beers and split their relleno/enchilada/tamale combo. While we sipped our beers, we munched on some chips and their tasty homemade salsa. Soon, the food arrived. I have to say, it wasn't the most visually appealing plating I've ever experienced. Everything was brown and beige. I guess you don't realize how nice a little green garnish is until you don't get one. This plate could definitely have used a little dollop of pico de gallo or some guacamole. The food was disappointingly just "okay." It was definitely the heavily americanized Mexican food that seems very common around these parts: served on a too-hot-to-touch plate and loaded with lots of cheese. The relleno was the best part of the combo. The tamale was passable and the enchilada lacked much flavor at all. The service was friendly and fast, which we appreciated. What I didn't appreciate was, when I paid and the screen gave me the usual tipping options, the suggested tip STARTED at 25%! The options were 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40%. I mean, the service was good, but 40%?!?! Seemed quite over-the-top and honestly it was a little offensive (and I consider myself a pretty good tipper, usually tipping at least 20-25%). Maybe it's a minor detail, but it's still stuck in my head. I'd probably go back here again if I was in the area; but would try something different to eat.

It's a nice little restaurant with really comfy and cute decor that makes it feel like you're in a classic diner. We were seated at a booth fairly quickly and got our drinks and orders in very fast. I got the eggs Benedict and my husband got biscuits and gravy. The meal portions were really generous, with me just barely finishing my meal to push it, abd my husband having some leftovers. Our friend also got a meal that had some biscuits on the side and he had two plates of food coming out, which gave us plenty of leftovers. The eggs Benedict itself had a nice flavor with the sauce and a slightly runny poached egg. It paired nicely with the hashbrowns that had a nice, crispy top and a soft center. The biscuits and gravy had a slight creamy texture paired with a hearty flavor. We were definitely happy with our meals and the amount of food we got! If you're in the area or driving by, this is a great breakfast spot to start the morning off!
