A rally great spot for Mexican street tacos and various other delicious food items. Was passing through town in between rounds of golf and stopped in for a quick Sunday dinner. Meal service requires you to order at the counter, then your food is brought out to you at a nearby table of your choice. This is a no-frills dining experience, but do not let that fool you...the food is top notch! I ordered a small variety of items to sample...a marinated pork taco, loaded steak fries and for dessert a flan. After a bit of a wait (they make everything to order), it all showed up at our table. The pork taco was dripping with charred pork flavor and came with grilled onions on the side. The double corn tortilla kept everything together as I dug in bite after bite. When the loaded steak fries showed up, my jaw dropped to the ground! This thing was big enough for 3-4 people to share...whoopsy! The crispy fries came layered with strips of grilled steak, a white cheese sauce, guacamole and a sour cream drizzle. Damn these things were good! And if that wasn't enough, I also ordered dessert because I am a sucker for flan (I grew up in Miami and have eaten probably one million flans). Honestly, was not a fan of their version's texture (too grainy, not creamy) and their sauce was not as sweet as many others I've had...but glad to have tried it. Omg so I came to jasper to visit some family. And everyone was telling me about this place so I decided to come try it out and it was the best place in jasper. I use to live in jasper for 6 years and no place can top there prices or taste. Me and my family were so happy with it. And the owners little girl was there she came up to my little girl and gave her candy and just made us feel at home. People her are just so happy and full of energy. I had a plate of tacos 2 de asada and 2 de tripas and man do I have to say the best I had in a long long time. I'm in Texas no and there is no food out here that can compare to them. So glad we went out of our way to go here. I think we passed 3 Mexican restaurants on our way, and we were hungry, but this place was terrific. I tried the carnitas, al pastor, asada, and barbacoa tacos. They were all good, but the barbacoa and al pastor are worth going back for. Better than any of the Mexican options in Louisville. It was very authentic, and reminded us of our favorite places in Phoenix. read more

I'm the pickiest eater, especially when it comes to Mexican food, but I love this place. My fiancé lives in Indianapolis, but whenever he comes home to visit, he always stops here. Even living in the city, he says he still can't find better tacos than this place. I was reluctant to ever join him because I am such a picky eater and not a huge fan of Mexican food, but I finally joined him and gave it a try. I'm in love and can't stop craving it. Friendly staff, the food is brought out extremely quick, and there's a good selection of drinks in my opinion. The environment itself may be one of my new favorites in Jasper. Extremely cozy and light hearted. I loved having lunch here and will definitely be making it one of my main spots to grab a bite! To top it off, the prices are great! Mexican food done how Mexican food should be done! The best place around for tacos y burros in the traditional style, sans processed white cheese sauce! Hallelujah! 1) wasn't told it was self service for utensils etc... 2) a basic explanation of dishes would have made our visit so much better 3) the chips were stale, and according to our waiter, that's how they serve them there.
