I was in town for this first time due to work. We all decided to try this local place. They have burgers and pizza. We had a big group about 10 people. We all came to eat dinner. The waitress was nice taking our order and getting our drinks. She was helpful. The food came out hot and good however we felt like we had to hurry up and leave. I guess they close at 8pm and we didn't know that. We got there at 7pm but we were waiting on a few people. Once everyone was there we placed our order.They started vacuuming and getting the place ready to close. Good local restaurant. They have lots of options which is great! They have a wide variety of smoked sandwiches and house made sauces. We got the chips and Queso as an appetizer. It was white Queso and some good thin chips. The white Queso has some flavor, it is not too bland. I got the pulled pork. It was a little dry but once I put sauce on it I made it a lot better. I also got the bacon cheesy potatoes. I thought they were pretty good as well. The ribs were pretty good too. Not the best we ever had but pretty good. They offer them until they are out of them. The Mac and cheese is a light weight cheese. Pretty good. Nothing extraordinary. Service was 12/10. Super friendly, super fast. read more

Everything I've had from here has been delicious! The appetizers were so tasty. I recommend the buffalo chicken dip and the fried pickles. Perfect to share or eat by yourself! I had to burger with pork and onion rings on it. The pork was tasty and the onion rings were perfect on it. I got a side salad and it was yummy! The salad was bright green lettuce and a decent size. I'd definitely get this meal again! The staff has been super friendly each time I've visited. They're very accommodating for large groups. Rarely, do I wish I never ever ordered the meal ordered. Claim is good BBQ, nope. Three mediocre sauces. which no sauce could be added to the sticky thickly saturated sweet pork mess. The brisket was oddly perfectly formed slices with no bark. no fat and some bizarre season salted herb. Could be the worst BBQ meal possible in the state. Fries and the baked beans were good sides. TERRIBLE BBQ! Service was spotty and never should you have to hunt down your server to pay. She was found hanging out with coworkers in the AC once she was located. we were so disappointed in the quality of the food today at Pub and Grub in Jasper Indiana. My husband ordered a loaded hamburger that came with only cheese and sauce? No greens at all! He ordered bowl of chili that tasted like the just heated up a Hormel's canned ! I ordered a baked potato that was cooked in a microwave, it never did see an Oven! We have eaten at Jasper's Pub and Grub for years. It has become a terrible fast food joint! BEWARE! read more

Honesty nothing negative to say about my experience. I took my kids here for dinner the night before going to Holiday World. The place was packed but we were seated immediately. Waitress was very nice and quickly got our drinks and appetizer. Food was great, pizza for the kids and ribs for myself. Would definitely recommend. read more

I wish I could leave a better review but I'm floored at what I had experienced here. I am new to the area as I just accepted an assignment at the hospital for the next few months. One of my favorite things to do is experience and try new foods and restaurants within the area I travel to. Jasper Pub 'n' Grub had great reviews so I was excited to check this place off of my list. I walk in, and it seemed to be a good atmosphere!! I sat down at the bar and ordered my usual. The bartender asked if I'd like a dinner menu, and I agreed. She asked for my I.D. and I handed it to her. She took a while looking at my driver's license but that's the norm since I am out of state. However, when she handed it back to me, she told me she needed to go talk to her manager because my I.D. stated "not for real ID purposes". I told her that it is in fact a real ID, just not the government issued "real ID" for flying. You could tell she was unsure of the situation and went to talk to her manager. When she returned she goes "I'm sorry" and I said that's alright! I'll take a captain and coke and she responds, no, I cannot serve you nor can you sit at the bar, but if you want to move to a table, I'd happily serve you food. I was shocked. WHAT?! All because I haven't gotten my "real ID" yet for domestic flying. You're kidding. I kindly declined and left the pub. Morale of the story, if you haven't updated your driver's license with the "real ID", you won't be served here, nor will you be able to sit at the bar!!!! Smh. Horrible experience. read more

We had a big group (45) and separate tickets and they handled it like a dream! Ordering was smooth, drinks and food came out quickly and it was delicious! Kendall and Madison were our waitresses and couldn't have been more friendly. The manage Tracy was super from the first contact. Beer and drinks were great, loved the pork rinds and Mac and cheese. This little restaurant was absolutely delicious. My husband and two kids stopped in for a bite to eat while passing through Jasper, Indiana. My son and I got the All American Burger and it was absolutely fabulous. My husband and daughter got some chicken strips and they were super filing and juicy. The price was a little high but you absolutely get what you pay for. The portion sizes were good and we ate lunch here and didn't even need a dinner we got so full! The waitresses were talking a lot and a little slow with getting things but that was a little understandable because it was not very busy when we stopped in. They were extremely nice and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. There was a bar area, an inside dining room and an outdoor patio. I loved having different options to sit at! Visited on a Sunday afternoon. They were not busy at that time. The restaurant itself is nice, welcoming and clean. We ordered: -the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were very good. Only improvement could be a variety of sauces to offer. -the rockin riley with fries. The pulled pork is good, but not outstanding. The mac n cheese got lost in the sandwich because it didn't have a standout flavor. The fries were just okay. -the brisket sandwich with cole slaw and onion rings. The brisket is cooked well but needs more flavor. The onion rings were good, but do yourself a favor and skip the slaw. It was flavorless. -the brisket tacos. Brisket needs flavor. The tortillas were bland. The queso was bland as well. Most of the flavor came from the pickled jalapeños. Overall mouthfeel was gummy. Not enough here for a taco. Definitely needs something else. -the pub porker. It was okay. The pork was better than the burger. The burger had no flavor and seemed to rely on the pork for flavor. Overall, it seems like everything needs to be thought out a little better. The menu is a little one-note. Nothing was bad but we're unfortunately not inspired to come back. We're rooting for this place but there need to be some changes in order to be a long term Jasper fixture. read more

Ordered take out. I wanted a ten inch pizza. I inquired about the price and I was told the 10 inch pizza sells for $10. I was asked what kind? I said supreme or loaded. I took off mushrooms on the pizza and added a side salad. I went WOH when I paid over twenty dollars for my order. I took the receipt out to the car and looked at it carefully. The pizza cost $10 for one of them then I was charged $7.00 for another one. The side salad was over $5. Take out utensils another dollar or two. I went in to talk to the waitress no help there. Talked to the manager and she threw the MENU at me and told me to LOOK AT it before I ordered anything from them again. I told her I wasn't going to be back. I got no refund whatsoever and took the thing home with me and it had bones in it. Don't know if this on purpose or not. Debating whether or not to inform them of the bones in my pizza. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from this place and stay away. THEY TOLD me that food prices are going up but the customer service is the worst. NO ONE TOLD ME they charge a dollar for each topping on their 10 inch pizza. A BIG RIP OFF. read more

Lunch specials are wonderful! The hamburgers here are outstanding! Jared and his staff are wonderful! Excellent service. Friendly folks. I have tried the wings (AMAZING,) and the fish sandwich. It's not the fastest service but it is NOT fast food. It is not Wendy's or McDonald's. Allows for nice conversation. Have been there in large groups where they moved tables together for us and in group of 2. Will return. The service is wonderful and the bartender is AWESOME too. Keep up the hard work! read more

Absolute worst service ever!! Took every bit of 15 minutes to get waited on after we were seated and that was only because I ask the hostess if there was a waitress that was taking care of the area. The hostess offered to get drinks but since she wasnt old enough to serve alcohol we continued to wait while the hostess located the waitress. Once we were waited on our appetizer came out almost immediately followed by our food just a few minutes later but there was still a problem..we had no silverware or drinks!! Lucky for us another employee happened to walk by and ask how everything was so I responded with " do you notice anything wrong" she immediately responded " you dont have drinks or silverware". After we finally got drinks and silverware our waitress was pretty much nonexistent but the other employee came back with a card for a free appetizer on the next visit(which most likely wont happen) and checked to make sure everything was okay.
