Best authentic Mexican cuisine in the area. Great selection of local craft beers and everything is fresh to table.

This is the only Mexican all you can eat I know of in the GTA or nearby. Certainly it is the only…read moreone in Barrie. So it's great to indulge your love of Mexican (and not Tex-Mex!). That said there're some concessions to Tex-Mex, with the burritos and American cheese on the nachos. We were greeted with servings of what seemed to be light versions of nachos & 2 sopes (like the corresponding items on their menu, but with fewer toppings). The nachos used nice, crispy, firm tortilla chips. The sopes were decent (though I'm not a fan of Hispanic corn dough, since it's quite heavy & has a strong taste) Sopa de tortilla was very rich & tasty & slightly spicy. There was a nice texture from the tortilla bits & pork rinds. Caldo de pollo was good but it was just chicken soup with rice. The tacos were pretty big. Campechano was mostly beef & sausage inside, but was dry with a flat flavour. Yet, it was not the fault of the meat - on its own the stuffing was pretty tasty - it just didn't work in the taco. Camaron was pretty good it had a lot of herbs & had a fresh taste especially with the sour cream. Gringa was good: like Mexican pulled pork - more onion, more sour & less sweet than American pulled pork. Pastor was tasty spiced pork with pineapple, though it was better on its own outside the taco. Pambazo was a soft, very potatoey bun which was pretty good. Enchilada mole was quite small - you could just order 1. It was decent. The lime agua fresca drink had a good lime taste & tasted fresh & homemade. The desserts were decent too. 3 milks cake was pretty good - I've had moister but this was moist & rich. Bunuelos (fried dough) were decent - fresh with nice cinnamon, but very thin so they were all crunch; they were also a bit oily. Ice cream was normal.

All you can eat tacos. It's gringo tacos. If you're hungry and have a big party - great place!…read moreLocation is good in Downtown Barrie.

Very small portion. No accompanying slides, big disappointment. Chicken burrito was cold inside and tasteless.

We ordered the Consome Soup (Lamb Broth) and the Camarones a la Mexicana Tacos (Shrimp). We were given complimentary nachos as well. The Consome Soup (5/5) came with Tortillas which were soft and had the perfect texture to them. The lamb was tender and the broth was clear, rich in flavour and had a smooth texture. The Camarones a la Mexicana Tacos (Shrimp) (5/5) was well made. The shrimp was plump and succulent. It was complemented well with the zestiness of the sauce and the lime. Overall, we were quite pleased with how authentic this place is. We will definitely be regulars here.

This time I ordered tacos and I was surprised that they didn't have ground beef tacos, only pork, shrimp, chicken or sausage. We started with the nachos, which was served with enchilada sauce instead of salsa, but it worked. Then I had the shredded chicken tacos, which turned out to be chunks of chicken breast - not shredded - on soft, soggy tacos. The first one I lifted up fell right through the taco. It was supposed to be served with tomato sauce but all I saw was one thin slice of tomato peel in one of the tacos. It was so dry, I could barely swallow it. We mentioned it to one of the servers and she offered to replace my meal and brought me the menu again. She never came back though and my friend finished eating his dinner. When the bill came it included the food I'd returned and when we mentioned it they did remove it from the bill. On the way out I passed the server who had said she would come back to take my order and I was a bit sarcastic when I said "Thanks a lot for coming back", and her reply was "Sorry about that." I left, not impressed with either the food or the service.
