Taqueria Miranda now has a location in Quincy, Florida and while it usually patronize their Tallahassee location, this early evening, I headed to their Quincy location. While this is based around a food truck, they do offer outside seating and there is a cover over it. The menu is pretty similar, but the menu here also offers pupusas and I believe it is a bit cheaper. The girl working here was friendly. I went with two tacos (one asada and one chorizo) and two pupusaa (I had the pork and cheese). The food did take a bit, i am assuming it was the pupusas. When my food came, I found it good.I will say that i think i prefer the Tallahassee location (though it could be just an off night or my imagination). It was still good. We drove from Tallahassee to try this place and then grab something from a local bakery. Definitely a destination for us, due to all the Yelp reviews. This is a food truck with a closed in eating area, but there are also outside tables that we could choose from, and that is where we picked to eat. We ordered a little of everything. Tacos ranging from asado, lengua, barbacoa, carnitas, el pastor, etc. The family also ordered a burrito and I snuck in an order of their menudo soup. A cash only establishment, the order was rung up quickly and delivered to us in to-go packaging (we had the option for dine-in plating). They were quite busy with a steady stream of customers and a short wait to order. Everything was packed very well. Food was bright and everyone loved their meal. The menudo was earthy and funky, just the way it should be. We'll definitely come back it was a fun drive and a good meal for a very reasonable cost. read more

Wow, terrific and authentic tacos. We had Carnitas and al Pastor tacos... both excellent! They use very fresh and slightly crisped tortillas, the cilantro and onion very fresh, and a red and a green salsa available on the side. $1.50 each for tacos. Can't believe it's taken me over three and a half years to try this little hidden gem. I've been working in the Quincy area with my job about three days a week but only tried it for the first time a few weeks ago thanks to Kevin F. Trust me, nothing about this place really makes you want to stop in but that can be said for the majority of places in Quincy. Miranda sits next to a convenience/liquor store on the south side of hwy 90 just before you get to the local Piggly Wiggly and across the street from a Dollar General. Word to the wise, bring cash and your own beverage of choice. I've had several of the tacos and I tried the Gordita yesterday. The tacos are true "legit" Mexican beauties. Your choice of several proteins and garnished with chopped onions and cilantro (traditional cojita cheese is optional...no extra charge). The tortillas are on the small side but they taste fresh and all of the proteins are well seasoned and delicious. Great deal at $2.00 a piece! They offer two types of salsa...a verde and a red. Both are excellent. The red has some kick to it. Kevin got a torta, which looked incredible and he loves their version of Menudo soup(cows stomach lining...smells awful and I wussed out. Cory manned up and tried some). My recommendation would be to head over to Reynolds Donut Shop on a Saturday morning before they run out, walk off your donuts around the town square for an hour or so to work up an appetite. Then head over to Miranda for lunch and then stop by the other hidden gem(this one is actually impossible to find for several reasons) to get some legit Mexican pastries and fresh tortillas to bring home! Maybe Quincy isn't so bad after all. read more

absolutely amazing. I live about 45 mins away and still make the trip often. The food is not only authentic, but incredibly affordable. Very kind owners!!!!!! It is cash only but it doesn't bother me at all. They also don't have drinks but there's a gas station right next door so it's really not a huge deal. Place off the road, . Has a covering shed with few tables. Bring your own drinks, they only sell food. Very humble place. Food is pretty tasty. They had no gordita was my craving. Ordered sope with chicken and chicken taco, all was good considering. Yes, for a lunch and a stomach filler I recommend, fresh made tortilla -good. food is ok, pretty typical amd authentic but bland, use hot sauces they give the food flavor and spike. They only accept cash. Cost me 2.75 to draw from atm. I was hungry otherwise would not have gotten food considering I was also late to return to work. Also bring your own drink, no beverages dold, just food. Looks like the corner store is making good on atm use and selling beverages. The chic sope was pretty good, pour some green sauce very good. Quincy has an honest to gosh food truck and it is awesome. If you want real Mexican food rather than the southernized versions so prevalent hereabouts, check these folks out. Tacos, quesadillas, tortas, enchilada, etc. all made fresh to order by very nice folks. We even got an extra order to bring home. This is my first visit to Miranda's and it looks the part of good Mexican street food. The cooking is done in a trailer and the dining room is a modified metal carport. The chorizo con huevos tacos were very good and the tortillas fresh. The papusas(Salvadoran) on the other hand were out of this world. I chose the pork and cheese and I have not had papusas this good before. They were very moist and the cheese was creamy and stringy. Wonderful. The salsas offered were ok. On my next visit I will ask for something mas picoso(hotter). read more
