We went on a Saturday during lunch time. No waiting for seating. Tables were half occupied and the eating area was clean. Service was quick to order and we had a couple of Modello's while eating chips and salsa. Beer was cold and the chips were fresh and the salsa wasn't overly spicy. Wife had the pork and beef burrito with a side of refried beans and which she said were the best she's had. I had the 5 mini tacos and they were not good. Bathrooms relatively clean but you won't think so because the hall leading to them is gross. Now the not so good: food was greasy and you drain the grease from your food. That's probably the reason for the roll of paper towels on the table. It was so greasy the mini tacos shells were not edible. read more

My last meal here demanded an updated review. If you want something other than the regular old Tex Mex, this is the place to come. The menu is huge, with a variety of options. This visit, I was drawn to the house special, which is one of my favorites. Skirt steak with grilled onions and cactus. Put this on a flour tortilla and you have a flavor bomb just waiting to go off. I get breakfast burritos here several times a month and they're always stuffed and delicious plus most of the time they even throw in chips and salsa with the order. I visited Taqueria Nuestro Mexico because a random person recommended the place. The person said it must be authentic Mexican food because most people dining is Hispanic. I did not know if I should challenge this person's assumptions or just take the recommendation and leave. I choose the second. I tried the fried quail and the green chicken enchiladas. I was not disappointed. The place was packed, yet my food was promptly delivered. There is a lot of noise but not the loud stereotypical Mexican-restaurant music. The enchiladas were delicious. The quail was perfect!- I will return to this place to try its massive menu. And definitively would recommend their food. It feels more Mexican than other fancy places claiming to be authentic. Greasy!!!! i not mind some grease but their food is Greasy!!!!! Gave me the runs with in 30min. Flavor was ok, nowhere near as good as Farolito's on Cottonwood. Wait staff ok, we had to send one of our items back to be because it was not fully cooked. The waitress took it back and shortly came back with the item in her hand still uncooked. The waitress said the cook refused to correct and she tried to explain that the cook was not the nice cook. The waitress tried to explain we got the cook that was not nice and i could tell she was just as upset as we were. She said this cook was "No Good". We felt terrible for the waitress as she could not speak English very well. Thankfully we did not pay for the uncooked item. After the poor experience and nearly crapping my pants, we are defiantly not going back. Farolitos way better, just wish they had longer hours. read more

Oh my goodness!!! The food is amazing here. We ordered two number ones (fajitas) to go and did not get the correct order however it was definitely a happy accident. When we opened the containers one had chopped onions, grilled jalapeño peppers & onions, and avocado slices with 4 white corn tortilla fajita tacos. The other had refried beans (requested), rice, guacamole, and lettuce/tomatoes with 5 smaller yellow corn tortillas fajita tacos. It also came with a side of charro beans and shredded cheese and a foil packet of limes. After looking at my ticket we ended up with the #14 (Mexican tacos) & #41 (mini tacos). Highly, highly suggest either of these two combos! The refried beans are probably the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back! read more

I arrived at around 7:50 PM and they close at 9 PM. Few people there. One gentleman got his chips and drink order right away while I had to wait for my server. She was too busy cleaning the place and not attending her tables. Someone else took my drink order, then my waiter brought it with the menu. Didn't even bring chips and salsa. I had to ask for them. She took my order and then brought me the chips and salsa. My costilla plate took a minute to get to me. Keep in mind that the people there had already had their food. I was pretty much the only one with no food. My plate comes out and of course she didn't bring the tortillas. I had to get the attention of another waiter to get me some tortillas. Well there goes 20 minutes later and still not tortillas. I had already finished my meal by that time and got up to pay my tab. My main waiter checked me out but there was not going to get her to understand what she did wrong. Didn't waste my time. If you can't do 2 things at once, don't do them. Attend to your tables and clean later when you have none. I felt like I was a bother to her and she wasn't helpful. My plate lacked seasoning. Price was fine. Overall, the customer service for me is a 0. Sucks we have to leave at least 1 star... not from here and definitely won't be back / wouldn't recommend it it to anyone I know. read more

Went here for the first time 25 Jan around 7-8 pm (wasn't that busy) This spot would have been 4 stars but I marked down to 2 stars because of our waiter! Our waiter was horrible, all she wanted to do was socialize with her friends that was sitting at the other table! She spent the majority of the time there, instead of taking care of the rest of her customers! When we got our drinks we asked her for straws... She told us that they were out or straws! Then she went back to socializing with her friends at the other table...Tell me why?? We saw another waiter who was much nicer and friendlier who had an "abundance" of straws in her apron? lol, we had to ask her for 2 straws... Sheesh My wife ordered (1) taco and (1) sour cream enchilada for her meal (that's it).. Tell me why when we got our food, the waiter tells my wife that the kitchen "messed up" and gave us an extra taco and not to worry about it (like it was on the house).. Well the funny thing is, when we went to pay the waiter actually put (2) tacos on the bill.. We had to explain to the cashier that we didn't order (2) tacos we only ordered (1) and had how the waiter told us that the kitchen "messed up"...So they took it off.. After I paid, I think the lady was the owner who cashed us out.. But I made sure I let her know how horrible the waiter was (straw incident, messed up order, gossiping with friends), and it was ironic because when I turned around to point her out, guess where she was?? You guessed it, at the table socializing with her friends.. Ok! If you stuck with me long enough, on to the food review.. Chips and salsa were excellent! The salsa had some kick to it.. I ordered Horchata- Which was one of the best, I have ever had.. Nice, sweet, homemade, and had a hint of vanilla...Didn't have that grainy gritty feel like the premix crap Wife ordered the lemonade- That was one of the best, I have had as well.. It was homemade, nice and sweet! I ordered the chicken enchiladas with the green sauce and an egg over medium on top.. (side note, I asked the waiter how many enchiladas comes with the meal and she couldn't even tell me that) came with rice and beans.. Everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful.. It took a while for the food to come out, but I can't be for sure why? It could be because our waiter not paying attention? The food was good, but unfortunately the waiter ruined it! I read some of the reviews about the place before I tried it and some of them I'd say were good, but not all of them. I had the chicken tortilla soup, I liked it because it wasn't as heavy as the others I have tried. My boyfriend had the tacos I think, he said they were good and simple. I read on one of the comments that the waitresses were mean and spoke mainly Spanish so it made it harder to understand. So I was afraid to go but I went and they did speak Spanish off the bat, luckily I went with someone who new Spanish so that was a relief. But she spoke English to, and they were nice to me and my son (2yrs). So I don't know if it was the shift or just a bad day, but definitely I'd go again! read more

My rating of 3 stars is not because of the quality of food, but rather the quality of the management. First, let me say every time I have been there, (and I have been there at least 10 times if not more), the food has been excellent! I have tried many different items and each and every one has been excellent. The accuracy of my bill is my main complaint. Everytime I have been there, my bill has been wrong and getting the non-english speaking cashier to understand is almost an impossibility. (So just be prepared to pay what is on your tab.) The last time I visited I was with three other patrons. We had 4 menus. On the back of the menu they have some really good specials. Molcajete for instance had a different price on all four menus. They also charge a surcharge if you are using a credit card. When your bill is more than $100, who carries that much cash? The best thing about this restaurant is their food. As I said above, it is excellent. The wait staff on a scale of 1-10 is, in my opinion, a 7 at best. If you ask for anything, they always forget and you need to ask a second or third time. Food was good aside from my rice being ice cold in my shrimp fajita plate but the waitress brought me a side of hot rice so all was good. The reason for my 3 star review is to give fair warning that they don't provide a detailed bill at checkout as you check out at the register and we were overcharged by $10. I called them when I got home and the lady still was adamant on the price she charged and gave me some random numbers that didn't match up with their menu prices and even then when I added it up on my end it was way off. I left it at that and will be cautious if we choose to go back but will probably just do drive thru for small menu items. read more
