This company is a joke, playing like they are running a legitimate business. They did no rental verification, and after weeks of calling for an update with their response being "its still pending", they snail mailed a denial letter purposefully wasting my time. I ultimately filed a complaint against them, in which we were advised to include the owner of the home we applied for. The owner ended up removing his home completely off the market because of it and never found a renter. Though the complaint lead to no relief being granted, the point was to speak up or companies like this will continue to think they can operate business in this manner. Fortunately, it worked out for my greater good in the end as I decided to buy outright, was immediately approved by 4 mortgage lenders, and ended up purchasing a home worth more than the rental property they "denied" me for. read more

I referred a friend to Debbie Carter, and she listed his home in Fayetteville. She was honest and timely with everything she worked on to get his home sold for the maximum amount. She handled everything promptly and professionally. The sale closed this week, and my friend is thrilled, even though the buyer's agent was not as thorough, Debbie made sure everything was perfect. I will be using Debbie if I decide to sell any of my properties without hesitation. read more

Tara Properties is the last place any property owner should go to look for a landlord assistance. One of the property management representatives, Clayton Terrell is a liar and fraud. Clayton claimed the tenant was screened. The tenant was wanted in Florida for a number of issues. The credit bureau had numerous collections, skips, write offs, and a bankruptcy. As a representative for the landlord he failed to notify me on numerous items such as move in/and move out punch list. Tara Properties billed me for septic tank service which never happened. Property damage was NOT listed or reported to me in a timely manner and signed off on the move out accepting the damage "as is!" Oh, good luck in reaching Clayton after hours or over the weekend. Pitfully! One star is to high of a rating. read more

This company will do NOTHING for you, but will suck you dry when you try to get out of a contract that you never should have signed in the first place. They will "claim" to find you a tenant that actually found your property on their own, and will charge you 10% of the rent to"manage" the property. They will never return calls that the tenant makes. They will majorly overcharge on repairs when they actually do repairs. I can not tell you strongly enough to not trust these people. I wish i could give a minus 5 stars to bring down all of the 1 stars they have gotten. The only plus i can give is that i had wonderful tenants, but that was luck... not work on their part. read more

This company is not quick on your repairs only communicates through email which is not convenient They use any excuse to keep over half your deposit. I would not recommend anyone to use this company for renting a home. & also buying one I'm sure they do not let you know all the details because the house I just left the ac had just broke and came pouring water down & I'm sure they didn't fix it and it is for sale also the carpeting only looks clean but deep down the pads are disgusting because I spelled water on it and after it dryed it was a black spot. That is impossible but all they did was make us have the carpet professional cleaned upon moving out where they weren't happy with one spot the re did it supposedly and deducted it out of our deposit. read more

My wife and I wanted to look at a house that was being sold by Tara Properties. We called up Tara Camp and asked if we could see it. She told us we could BUT warned us not to waste her time (it's ok though, because she said that she HOPED she wasn't coming off rude). Well, we put the rude comment out of our minds and said that we would love to see the place. She told us a person would be out in 30 minutes. We went back to the house after half an hour (by this time it was pretty dark and no electricity in the house). No one was there. We waited 20 minutes and nobody showed. The viewing would have been pointless by this time and TARA had now wasted our time. Upon leaving we received a very aggressive and rude phone call from Tara, which ended with us never wanting to work with her company again. read more

Do not trust your property to this company. They absolutely do not screen the tenants. I have an property in McDonough and paid this company approx. $700 to screen and find a tenant. They recently approved a tenant to live in my my home that they 100% absolutely did not screen appropriately. I retroactively checked the tenant's references myself, and was appalled by what I got back. The tenant had bad credit and had damaged his previous property. I brought this to one of the managing partners attention, and got a very rude e-mail in response. Clearly, they do not care about their long-term customers and do not care about appropriately screening tenants. DO NOT entrust your home, or investment property to this company. We purchased a new house in 2012 and decided to rent our current house rather than selling it right away. We called Tara Properties and they came to evaluate the house. We already knew there were several things we needed to upgrade but after they came to view the house and property, they provided a list of things that tenants looked for when looking at rentals. We took a few months to work on the items on the list and by September, we were ready to put it on the rental market. Within a couple weeks we had a potential tenant for the property. Our tenant has lived in the house since 2012. There have been issues that we've needed to fix in the house from time to time but Tara Properties was always prompt in letting us know what was going on and we were prompt in getting the things fixed. Tara Properties handles everything for us as at very minimal cost. When I drive by the rental house from time to time there are small things that let me know the tenants are as comfortable and happy in our house as we were when we lived there.
