My first time here was for a Yelp event, and then I returned with another friend to see Matt Bianco. This place is just incredibly comfortable. Great views everywhere thanks to the raised outer circle, and far more seating than I've ever seen in a venue with a dancefloor. Lots of small and large booths to accommodate your group, no matter how many people you came with. The raised area is lined with a bar and lots of bar stools, so you can sit down comfortably, set down your beer to applaud, and enjoy a perfect view of the stage, while those behind you can easily see the stage over your shoulders. Really well designed. The acoustics here are extraordinary too. I do wish they'd have some more popular acts, or, you know, ones I actually know (the current events schedule didn't have any names I recognized). I would jump on the chance to see Bruno Mars or James Morrison here again! However, I would definitely make an effort to find a reason or an event to come back to Under the Bridge. My friend felt the same way. Just something very welcoming and comfortable about this place.

I had the lamb burger which was great, being there on a Tuesday meant any draft beer was on the house with burger purchased. Score! There are other offers on other days of the week. Be sure to check them out on their website menu! The sound is great in the theatre room, clear and crisp. It's difficult to get seating if you're late, so try to get here early if coming for one of the acoustic nights. There's a fair selection of good beers and the place seems friendly overall. The menu is brilliant and at not too much of a costly price (the chips are definitely recommended), it is brilliant for a group looking for an entertaining evening out. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday nights are the best for comedy (the weekends showcase the more renowned comedians with the Banana Cabaret). On some evenings you don't even have to pay to listen to the bands and artists but the staff are pretty strict on keeping talking to the minimum which is absolutely fair enough. In between music, comedy and cabaret they also hold Swing Dance and Tango classes! A great excuse to head to South London. Oh, and ladies - the men always seem to be rather good looking in here!

My friend and I came here on a Sunday and opted for two chicken roasts. The chicken was cooked well and accompanied by a huge Yorkshire pudding, gravy, roast potatoes and various sides, such as sweet potato puree. If I had one complaint about the roast it would be that the potatoes could have been slightly warmer, but 'tis a small blemish. No matter though, because the desserts took the experience up a couple of notches. I went for a fig and maple syrup bakewell tart with prune ice cream and my friend sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. One bite of each was all it took to seal this place's 5 star rating: warm, flavoursome and oozing quality. The sticky toffee pudding was particularly good, up there with the very best I've had. Elsewhere, there are plenty of other pluses. Though a Young's pub, it had a few other ales on draft, including the ever-dependable Samsbrook Wandle and new beer Pumphouse Pale Ale. The other food on offer looked very good too: tempting scotch eggs that sadly they'd sold out of when we took our seats; burgers in posh baps and string fries. The rest of the dessert menu was extraordinary, containing no less than five dessert wines, something I've never seen before on a pub menu. And perhaps most surprising of all, the food wasn't that expensive: about £13 for the roast chicken, £4 for the Samsbrooks and an admittedly fairly expensive but still worth it £7 for the desserts. Service was good and there's plenty of space inside. The only slight negative of the experience was that it took about 20 minutes to be seated. Really though, that's not bad compared to how long waits can be. And in this instance, it was easily worth it. As for the yuppies, it's true that there were a few here, but they were in the minority. I didn't find them particularly irksome - not like the masses of hipsters to be found out east. And indeed, arguably if it weren't for the spending power and preferences of this Fulham set, the food wouldn't be what it is, so heck, it could be said they're a force for good...

But relax, you are quite safe in this soon to be completely renovated and gentrified Chelsea neighborhood. Dinner was more than acceptable. Hearty food in the style of what your mother makes, if she is a good soulful cook. Big portions, high quality ingredients, robust flavors. I had a lamb rump roast, it was delicious. My wife had the sea bass, it was wonderful. Big plates of food for 18 British pounds each, a bargain in this obscenely expensive city. Wine list has 30 bottles. We enjoyed a fruity well made Pinot noir from Romania. 24 pounds. Cover charge was a little extra for a special evening, still just 14 pounds. The show was 3 complete bands playing over 3.5 hours. Again this is a remarkable bargain. All employees are sincere, happy and helpful. I felt comfortable as no one was putting on any airs. I've visited jazz clubs the world around both big and small. I grew up in New York City during the 1960's where I saw world class American jazz musicians in legendary venues. Well, now it's 2018 and all those NY clubs are dead & gone. But glory be, this 606 club in London carries the eternal flame of fine jazz musicianship with care & respect. I flew all the way from San Francisco California to come here. If you are in London you can damn well get your butt in a taxi and come here to enjoy an evening of rollicking music and support this great club. Call. Make a reservation now. You're welcome.

It wasn't until further in our trip that we were needing a meal that we found 606 Club online. This has that speakeasy vibe, with the subtle entrance, the narrow staircase and another door before you're told about a 20£ cover charge should you choose to stay for the live performance starting at 8pm. We only wanted a meal, as we were tired from travelling, and were seated close to the door. I had my reservations, as the music was the primary reason the crowd was there. But you know what? We had a delicious memorable meal here! My partner had steak frites and I enjoyed the Thai chicken (curry). We also shared an order of courgettes Provençal. If I had one mild issue, was that the waitress described the courgettes as "oh it's courgettes with tomato". My DEAR, they are NOT JUST with tomato! Provençal is this savoury delicious play on garlic, seasoning, and herbs like basil, oregano, thyme. With the right seasonal veggie it is this warm hug that reminds me, "hey, maybe I could be vegan". We enjoyed our meal, to say the least. I swear as we were ending our meal, and the jazz musicians were starting their set, the chef came out to listen a bit and looked out into the dining room and we made eye contact. I nodded, with a satisfied gaze, and he nodded back. If I could visit 606 Club in my future visits to Chelsea, I will!
