Old fashioned pet store…read more It's old fashioned in as much as its laid out in a fashion more akin to a store in an Istanbul souk rather than the modern minimalist clean cut ways of the west. Stacked to the rafters with pet parafenalia it's the place to get all your pet needs met. For fellow cat owners they sell catnip mice that cause our cat to go a little mental and within a couple of days disembowel the cheap little toy. She loves 'em and it's a pleasure to watch her go mental.

Even an anti-depressant drops. Ricky won't leave her cage even with the door open. The bird was abused before she came to Hornsey. I wish I could help Ricky. In terms of the store, they sell all types of animal food including bird feed (which is what My Boots is interested in and therefore what I am interested in). The bird food was really cheap (1.25 per bag) and even less for the crap sunflower seed ones. Boots needs his food fruity. He's a premium mix little Grey man. I don't really get the Garden Shop part of the name. I believe I saw some flowers out front but nothing else really. This is pet food store. No Bird toys but some cat and dog accessories. I wish I could try to get Ricky out of her cage. I think she liked me. The staff has tried, maybe Ricky will come around.

I can not comment because I, I have a bird. Petvet sells rabbit food including freeze dried natural mixes. They sell dog and cat food and accessories. They even sell a rabbit lead for a sort of expensive, sort of decent 7.00. I do not know whether they do not sell ANYTHING for avian friends because the Dr. is not an avian vet but I was disappointed that there was nothing for Scaly Boots, Feathered Suit here not even crap seed. Nothing. I saw some postings for pet sitters near the window and I saw some who see birds. I find that to be useful. I think this is a nice shop if you have a dog, cat or rabbit but utterly useless for non-mammal but very loving friends.
What I really like about this vet is that their staff is really friendly to the visiting animals…read more I've been to other clinics where they didn't pay much attention to my dog (paying attention means treats and cuddles for my dog) and she subsequently disliked coming there. Here the reception staff always had a liver treat at hand and this literally bought my dog's love! What I found a bit confusing was that over a series of maybe three or four visits, I had a different vet each time. Just like I prefer seeing my personal GP, I speak for my dog when I say that she's prefer being seen by the same vet every time.

There aren't many other animals there. This is definitely more of a pet supplies shop rather than a pet shop where you can buy a pet. Even so, it's well stocked with all the basics. Live food like crickets is ordered once a week so it's best to place an order if you need it regularly. Parking can be difficult in this road but there are lots of nearby residential roads where you should be able to stop for a while.

They do have a policy that under 16 year olds cannot purchase pets unless accompanied by an adult, however under 16's can purchase pet food on their own.
