This is a solid Target. We stop here whenever we are staying in Brawley, Imperial, or El Centro. It is the only Target nearby and has a steady customer base. Since Covid they also have a strong pick-up area and even have shaded parking in the parking lot just for their pick-up service, where employees fill mobile orders from customers and deliver them to their vehicles. This Target is loaded with great deals, and we never have trouble finding what we are looking for. The employees are friendly and they check you out quickly, unless you only have a few items and use the self-checkout. Definitely worth stopping in when you're in the area. There's also a Starbucks inside the store, so you don't have to wait in line at the new Starbucks out in the far corner of the parking lot. read more

My pain management specialist at the time was writing prescriptions for my pain medication and sending them to the El Centro Target pharmacy but they refused to give me the medication once they told it was ready to be picked up. They told me they had a hold on it. I asked them to call my doctor's office to confirm that the prescription was not bogus but they refused. Finally I had had enough of their games and I stopped going back there. Who gives them the right to over ride a doctor's valid prescription? Very poor customer service directed towards me, a disabled White US Navy veteran. The pharmacy personnel looked down on me as if I was an insect. read more

This store has a huge wall almost an aisle of gift cards now, they have that end cap still, but good heavens, this is the place to look for gift cards. We found one. The perfect one for my FIL and MIL. It's going to allow them to choose from 5 places to eat on one card. It's all remodeled. They were restocking everything tonight. It's like Black Friday was good to them this year. Good. We got greeted be two associates, and our cashier was delightful. He wasn't wearing his name tag, it just stated new associate. Overall 4/5 stars on each, products, prices and service. Target is in a large shopping center with Lowe's, Cold Stone Creamery and Sonic. The parking lot is huge and there is never a problem finding a spot, even on a weekend. Target products are decent quality with decent prices. I am purchased things from most departments and they have been good. We bought deeper soup bowls that we couldn't even find at a home goods store. Some of my favorite buys were a wooden bowl that was great for fruit. Today, I was looking for a workout wear. They had a large selection that were quite nice. I found something that worked and another, too. I would definitely recommend this Target. Products, prices and service is good. read more

Curbside/In-store pick-up is horrible. 3 out of 3 times I have ordered for curbside/in-store pick-up it has taken way past the time estimated. It always says item will be ready in 2 hours when in fact the items are not ready for at least 24 hours, if you are lucky. On 3 different occasions I have had to go in the store and grab the item off the shelf and cancel the order. If the order will take 24 hours to fulfill then it should reflect that when ordering. People will probably choose to get down and het the item inside. Unfortunate the service is available but not reliable, at this location at least. read more

This is the only Target in the El Centro/Calexico area and thankfully it is a pretty good one. It has an enormous parking lot and is very clean. It has an awesome in-house Starbucks (which often has cartwheels and is better than the stand alone Starbucks in the same complex). Lots of CA team gear here. They seem to be well-stocked and employees are genuinely helpful! There are a few things that could be improved: it is not a Super Target s the food area is minimal and should be expanded. The website often shows things being available in a certain aisle when they are not there. They need more cashiers. Also they do a good job on order pick-up but on Black Friday I noticed a problem for some customers: the pick-up ladies really only spoke and understood Spanish (not an issue for me) but it was causing some delay for customers who did not speak Spanish and had questions. read more

This Target is one of the best targets I have been in. I have been to some in San Diego and the one in El Centro is way better. This one is clean, organized, and great costumer service. This was a great target! Decently clean and all of the employees were incredibly friendly and very helpful! Scooters are not readily available since you have to ask; the scooter I had was not charged and only had one bar but it was absolutely enough to get around the entire target. The Starbucks here was also great! I could tell there was a new employee working at this Starbucks, but she held up on her own very well! I ordered with drive up and was told to come to the store to pick up my order. Not only was it incomplete the associate that brought half of my items told me he had no clue about the rest because they were from a separate department. Really? With how important curbside pickup stuff is nowadays I figured a store like Target that is considerably more expensive than other places would have something that worked a little smoother. I went inside the store to pick up the rest of my items myself, completely invalidating the point of pickup. Pretty crap experience. It's a classier version of Wal Mart. I mean, pretty much, that's all it is. And you pay more for it too. On the other hand, the items that are stocked are a different variety and typically of better quality. It still offers its generic brand of products to help save you the extra cash if you aren't dead set on buying name brand items. It's electronics, beauty supply, clothing, and home section, definitely beats Wal Mart because it has up to date, modern, and good quality items, hence why I prefer to shop here. The Imperial Valley Target gets a bit messy with all of the traffic from Mexicali, but it does quite well with keeping it orderly under those circumstances. They hire great cashiers who actually speak English and are courteous, which is a big difference than other general stores locally. I give it 4 stars, because I am a fan. read more

They lied 4 separate times to me knowing they were lying while they were lying! LOL! Yes that is because the one marked that low they sold on thursday! LOL. A girl at the Starbucks inside Target told me she had the same experience. These "bait and switch" tactics are the same they use every year to get shoppers through lies and con jobs. How do you make a fantastic place like Target even better? Add a Starbucks and a newly expanded grocery section! I love Target so much its ridiculous, but since they were limited on their grocery selections, we had to go to Food 4 Less, or worse, the Evil Empire (aka: Walmart.) Not so anymore. Their meat selection is small, and I hope that it gets better with time. If so, and if the prices stay as reasonable as they are now, I don't think I'll ever have to go to Walmart again, which is fine by me. read more

I won't go into this store again. I had a cart load of items and no one at the registers would help me. I waited a long time, there were 3 checkers there when I got there. They allowed people to cut line even though I objected. Then all but one of the checkers left. People that had gotten in line after me made their purchases and left. I was on line longer than it took me to pick out my items in the store. I complained to the one remaining checker, who completely ignored me. I had to get home and was out of time so I finally left without my purchases. Never again. read more

I LOVE TARJAY. On December 26th, I went to 2 Tajay's in Irvine, and the Christmas items on clearance were pretty much wiped out. I checked this place out on the 27th, and there's still so much to chose from!! I usually buy all my wrapping paper, tissue paper, bags, gift tags, etc on clearance after Christmas, so that way I have things ready for Christmas next year! This target store should win the award for most neatly organized sales rack EVER! Literally,no lie, their sales racks are color coordinated and by size! Are you kidding me?!?! Who ever is responsible for this organization deserves a prize. Thank you for making shopping the sales rack a breeze! I can look for color and sizes without a problem. I went to target overheard a group of women gossiping about another target employee outside the dressing rooms. They were so into the gossip that when I asked if I could go into the dressing room one of the women just said "yeah sure" in a rude tone and she didn't even bother smiling or making eye contact. Just because you're having issues with another employee doesn't make it okay for you to treat customers rudely. Also, I HEARD EVERYTHING. They weren't even trying to speak in a low tone. 5 Stars for this visit. Champion C9 Tees were marked down to $15 (regularly $16.99) and on the same rack, next to the Tee's, were matching Leggings (regularly $38). My bff decided against purchasing them, I however, did not. I took a photo of the sign and the apparel. At check-out, both items rang up with the regular pricing. I showed the cashier my photos, she alerted the Supervisor to come to her register. "Elizabeth" came over and said the Tee should've rang up $15, and to honor the price ...as well as the Leggings! I mentioned that my bff wanted to purchase a set, Elizabeth said she would honor her purchase @ $15 each as well. Needless to say, we are both VERY happy campers and more than satisfied customers. Then we mozied our way over to Starbucks. It was Happy Hour, so we scored there too! Everyone inside of Target and Starbucks was very friendly, and the customer service, exceptional. This store has been wonderful most of the time, with its few exceptions. I go almost every week, sometimes multiple times a week to purchase everything from tissues from clothing to toys and collectibles. Today I carefully made my purchasing choices and saw that there were a couple registers open which had about two-three people each making line. The self-checkout however, as usual, was deserted. There was only this lady standing in the middle of the aisle and as soon as I rolled in to the self checkout she started couting my items out loud. "One-two-three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, I'm sorry this is ten items or less." I completely understand the purpose of speedy checkouts, and follow the rules as I dislike people wih 100 items paying in the express lane. I had 1 item more than permitted and there was no one, I cannon stress this enough, no one in sight that would be inconvenienced by my 1 extra item. I asked of her twice to please let me pay as there was no one there, but nope, she insisted that it was 10 items or less and that she could not do anything about it. This Target is decent for the Imperial Valley, I can usually find most anything I am looking for and they have a snack area with soft drinks and Pizza Hut personal pizzas. A Starbucks just opened up earlier this month inside Target to give shoppers a little extra pep in their step. Overall the store is clean and well kept which always makes a pleasant trip. read more

My review is specifically for the pharmacy at the Imperial Target. They have been amazing. I have received some of the best customer service I have ever seen from the folks who work at this pharmacy. I have been dealing with lupus and a kidney transplant for most of my life so I have dealt with more pharmacies than I could ever name. This pharmacy stands out so far above and beyond the rest, I am so impressed that I may embarrass myself on here. They have gone out of their way to make sure that I know it is time for my refills, if my refills require authorization, that according to their records, I may run out of a critical medication over the weekend and would I like them to contact my doctor for a new authorization, etc. You get the idea. They are totally on top of things! They are friendly, polite and professional. You won't find better service anywhere. read more

Great cashier staff, super friendly! If you're a couponer, this is the best place to go. The cashiers will actually be nice to you and scan all your coupons without fussing (like some other Targets I've been to) and they encourage you to use them, they are also nice about it if your coupon doesn't work. Anyway other than that, it is a great store and you definitely have to credit the staff, they all deserve raises! The only con thing I have is the stocking, sometimes there is nothing on the shelves or too much stuff on the shelves, but I suppose you can't have it all. NO Stars -- This pharmacy is one of the worst managed pharmacies I have seen and I have 3 other states. My husband called in 1 refill Tuesday, their computer said it would be ready for pickup on Wednesday afternoon. We went Thursday at 10AM and it wasn't ready and the pharmacist said he could give me a 'couple' of pills and the rest later, he did not secify when later was. If they saw they did not have enough to fill my refill their clerks could have called to inform us and we would not have made a wasted trip. They don't pay for our car gas and our time is better spent on other things instead of wasting a huge walk to the pharmacy. read more
