Garbage customer service. I called to determine what my options were on a warranty I had for a set of Beats headphones I purchased from the store. I spoke to 2 people who kept trying to transfer me to the electronic department but couldn't figure out how to do that. Then the 2nd person I spoke to put me on the phone with a supposed supervisor who wouldn't even listen to my issue. When I tried to explain that what she said wasn't related she proceeded to say that the option she gave me was my only choice. I attempted to explain to her that her answer wasn't even related to my issue and that I wanted to speak to her supervisor. She proceeded to hang up on me. Again, horrible customer service. Had the pleasure of meeting Daniel during self checkout on Friday. I always forget to check Target Circle coupons and by time I do I've already paid for everything. This time I remembered and discovered a 20% off coupon however didn't know how to scan it. I asked Daniel how to use the coupon which not only did he assist me however he explained in depth how I can see the coupon was applied by what appears on the screen and if I have a coupon that doesn't scan let them know they can double check if it expires or see if there is another coupon available to use. I honestly felt Daniel went above and beyond he was personable, honest and helpful! I hope he knows his positivity is extremely appreciated! I am extremely disappointed at the staff at this Target store. I always thought Target was run efficiently, had a well trained and courteous staff but it certainly wasn't true this evening. I have a broken foot and needed to get a pair of compression socks for it. I called this Target store and was told that they had the item that I saw online. The sales clerk told me that she would leave it up front for me to pick up. I got there half an hour later and had to wait because she hadn't brought it to the customer service area. The compression socks that she brought me was not the same item (and item #) that I gave her over the phone. After driving over to Target and hobbling from the car to the store on my broken foot, she never even offered me an apology. I then talked to the front line manager who also didn't offer an apology for inconveniencing me even though it was clearly their mistake. Talk about bad customer service!! read more

I remember going to the old version of this Target when I was a kid. They have since knocked it down along with Service Merchandise and built a colossal mega Target. Very cool place. Guess what's inside it? Starbucks.. heh.. That alone makes it better than most Targets. Cool people, helpful staff, so this place is rockin for what you need. read more

I love target in general but this place lost a star due to the fact it looks like their gardening section is vanishing. I needed garden supplies and only found about a aisle worth of stuff that was all majorly marked down which tells me they are more than likely getting rid of the gardening section. I got rid of another star due to parking and location. The corner the store is on is busy which is good for business but it makes it hard to get in and out of the parking lot. Overall it's a great store but they seem to lack a lot of what I've seen at other locations. It's like they are constantly out of stock on stuff. read more

Target in Peoria on Northern ave sold me a bogus prepaid phone card. When I tried to load it, the error message said "card is invalid". Since it was approaching 10pm and I live closer to this store, I tried to go to their customer service desk. I suspected that the error message meant that the card was not activated (which I verified was true the next morning), so I tried to get customer service to do an exchange. I didn't want a new card, I wanted to run the same card through the system so I could make sure it was activated. Basically return and buy back the exact same card I had in my hand. Nope. She would not do it. She wouldn't really even listen to me. She kept reiterating that once the pin was scratched off, there was nothing she could do. Ugh. I WAS NOT TRYING TO GET A BRAND NEW CARD. I WAS TRYING TO GET THE ONE I HAD ACTIVATED. I ended up having to buy a different card at 711, but that was a real inconvenience. The reason I have prepaid is so that I don't spend so much on cell bills every month. Now I basically had to double pay my bill because Target wouldn't help. Eventually my carrier verified info and loaded it for me, but what a freakin hassle. And what piss poor customer service. read more

The customer service is good, but nothing to write home about. This store is very clean but a few times the front end was overwhelmed by popcorn crumbs and trash. I do like that it's located near me and the cashier's are usually very friendly. The one downside is the amount of cashier's they have when it's coming close to closing time (when we usually go)...but we take it into account as the experience of shopping there at that time of night. The older guy who does the carts at night looks like a very hard worker and Is very friendly. We always count on seeing him working when we go there. read more

Something has been wrong at this location for years. My experiences at any other Target location have been very good, but this location is the only one that I've ever had an employee actually sneer at me for asking a question about their gift card, and the only place that I've been walking behind an employee saying, "hello" over and over, and she outran me and pretended she didn't hear me. Now they've stopped having cashiers at the registers at all. The last several times we've been in, they have plenty of shopping aisles blocked with stock carts, so there must be employees in the store even though I rarely see them, but none are running registers. Today we walked up to the only cashier just as she was finishing with a customer. She called out "I can't check you out, but I can help you at Self-Check". Why couldn't she check us out? She was there, we were there. If she could help us at self-check, why didn't she just do the job herself? And if the customer is now doing all the work, why are the prices higher than anywhere else? For instance, the pet food is A LOT higher than the grocery store, so are coffee k-pods and everything on the bread aisle, and the grocery store provides customer service with cashiers and baggers. But the cashier didn't stick around to see if we needed help, she left, and we took care of ourselves and paid their high prices. I went over to Customer Service to ask why there wasn't a single register open whenever we come in but there was no one there, even after I called out. As we walked out the door, the red-shirted employee who had been standing at the Starbuck's counter the whole time, chatting and laughing with the employees, turned around and smiled at me, happy in the knowledge that he didn't have to do anything. read more

Wanted to start Christmas off right after thanksgiving with the fam Bought target brand lights for the value and took them home to start decorating. Opened the first one and it immediately shorted out, but we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe just return one faulty one, then proceeded to open the next box, and before we could finish unraveling, my partner (sitting on the floor) starts bleeding profusely on our floor. One of the lights came out of the box broken and sliced along his foot while unraveling the cord. After sufficiently cleaning the wound and cleaning up a lot of blood, I get everything together with the receipt intending to give customer service a piece of my mind. After showing the customer service rep the picture and explaining what had happened, all we got was "$12 back on your card, have a nice day". I was infuriated but my partner chose to be level-headed, so we just took our refund and found lights at the nearest Walmart instead. This is not the service and care that we go to this target for (almost regularly considering we live behind it), and this could have been a major issue for the store had it been one of our kids or pets. In customer service and in management, you represent your company and your brand, and your dysfunctional product caused harm (thankfully not as bad as it could've been) and you don't even have the decency to show any concern or attempt to fully reconcile the real issue here. That approach will surely lose you more business than even this review of the awful experience. Absolutely shameful. read more

This is the WORST Target I have ever been too . Everyone there especially the management are extremely rude and disrespectful and are absolutely no help to loyal customers that spend money there practically every day ! I was actually banned from there because the dude from loss prevention didn't believe my dog was a service dog even though I had all the stuff to prove it not to mention he was wearing a service dog harness and leash and I go there every single day . I asked him if he wanted to see my id proving my dog was a service dog and he said no and to get out of "his" store, when I know for a fact he wasn't not the owner of the store . The normal employees there actually have more potential to be successful managers than management themselves . I only go to this store cause it's the only place with groceries near me and I don't currently have a vehicle . Once I'm driving again I will never visit this place ever again . I had a very poor experience with Target today. I called Target to request they hold Thai Curry Chicken sauce for me. I called SIX TIMES and only got through to a live person twice. I spoke with MONICA twice. She was very RUDE. When I tried to relay a msg to her, she cut me off and abruptly transferred me to a department that failed to answer their phone. I spoke to the manager on 5/12/19 at approximately 11:45am, who lied and said that he could not give me her first name. I simply wanted her first name to include it on this Yelp review. The manager was unapologetic about the terrible customer service that had been given to me. He's SUPER TERRIBLE. I had to go into the store and look at her name tag to get MONICA'S name. However Mark, an associate there was able to salvage my experience with a can-do attitude and his customer-focused nature. He was kind, understanding and proactive. The only reason why this Target is getting only three stars out of a possible 5 from me is this. Not enough lanes are open on busy days. Every time I go here there is only two lanes open out of a possible 18. Now, I know they won't open all 18 lanes, but for heavens sake, at least open one or two more lanes. The other frustrating thing is this, when the two lanes are open, you see the one that is not that busy so you decide to jump over to it. Unfortunately, you find out, once you get there, that the lane is closing. So now there is only one lane open. Lastly, the employees here(the cashiers) are not overly friendly. I have been going to this target for years and today I was honestly disappointed with staff and the cleanliness of this target. I was buying Christmas items and the signs with discounts were on certain things and of course I fill up the cart. I head to the cashier and coming to find none of the stuff I grabbed were on sale. I also grabbed a shirt because the sign of course said it had a discount and again there was no discount. Three cashiers were helping the original one was polite but the other two just loved to prove people wrong with bad attitudes. If things aren't on sale and you know the sign should not be there I mean the smart thing you should do is take off the sign. Most of the staff tonight were just talking and hanging out in the front. Target has a promotion they call Holly Jolly Savings. It is promoted as spend $50 on Holiday items and get $10 off at the register. Sounds easy enough! I fill my shopping cart with holiday Items and get to the check out.. My total was $171.80. I showed the cashier my coupon, she scanned it and told me my purchases did not qualify. Really?,.....I ask how much more do I need to spend to qualify? She does not have a clue but suggested I inquire at the customer service desk. I go to the customer service desk and the clerk also has no clue to how the promotion works, but he was somehow sure I did not qualify. I told him I would no longer be shopping at Target and he smiled and wished me a good day. Officially added Target to my do not shop there anymore list along with Sears and Kmart.. This target was well organized and clean. There are 6 self check out lanes which I enjoy. I especially like target's variety in men's toiletries. They are the only ones who seem to understand my need for the new stuff! For example, they carry the Shea Moisture line I love and there is always something new to try. The staff was also friendly and helped me find a few items upon my first visit. This is my local target now and I'm sure I'll be a regular. read more

I been shopping here forever never had a problem until now .... Employees here need to work more on there customer service mainly ones that supervise the self check out lanes. They promote and want you to use these since they have 1 cashier out and line is long . Always have issues using the card chip reader and instead of being courteous and nice and apologizing about it i was told to not go to self check out to just wait in the long like as she talk to me like a child and as if I was stupid .... Takes forever to even get her attention because shes to busy joking around with other employees up front. One of the few stores in Phoenix that still carry Jello sugar free Vanilla pudding cups in the dairy case. We love the stuff and it makes a great easy dessert with whip cream and a little chocolate syrup drizzled on. (Have to have the sugar free so you can have the whipped cream). :) read more
