If you live near or go to a neighborhood with a full size store it's the best experience. In Manhattan they closed our big location and we have mini neighborhood Targets. I go to my app to see what is in stock. Sometimes I get delivery if an item is not carried in my store. Today when I checked the app it popped up that if I sign up for texts I'll get 15% off. I signed up and added the number to my address book. It said I can cancel anytime. Since I kept signing up for emails and never received sale emails I'm going to try this. Target - Ongoing Customer Service Issues I'm writing this review based on repeated visits and ongoing negative experiences at this Target location. The main issue is poor customer service, lack of staff training, and unprofessional behavior during evening hours. Several employees have been consistently rude, disengaged, or visibly confused when asked basic questions. On multiple occasions, staff stated that items were in stock when they were not, despite the Target website showing availability. When customers point this out, staff often appear baffled, walk away, or simply disengage instead of helping resolve the issue. One serious concern involves ID verification at checkout. On more than one occasion, an employee struggled to read a valid, government-issued passport. I first presented an EU passport and then a U.S. passport, and the cashier repeatedly asked for my date of birth even after it was clearly visible and verbally provided. Despite wearing visible NYC Press credentials, the employee became visibly annoyed and unprofessional instead of asking for assistance from a supervisor. On November 6th, 2025 at approximately 6:55 PM, a Target employee told me that Target does not accept U.S. government-issued passports as valid identification. This is incorrect and deeply concerning, as passports are federally recognized IDs. Situations like this suggest a lack of proper training for employees assigned to roles that require identification verification. Deceptive pricing has also occurred multiple times. I have purchased items that rang up at a higher price than what was clearly listed on the shelf. This has happened more than once, suggesting either poor inventory management or a lack of pricing accuracy, both of which are unacceptable for a major retailer. I applied to work at this location specifically because I wanted to help improve the customer experience. I have professional experience working in government buildings, 501(c)(3) organizations, consulates, and homeless outreach. Despite this background, my application was rejected, while customer-facing roles remain staffed by individuals who appear untrained for basic responsibilities. This Target serves the same neighborhood customers every day. There is little sense of accountability, memory recall, or relationship with the community. Until employee training, supervision, and customer service standards improve, I cannot recommend this location. Update: Do not buy iPhone cable under the target brand, I had to visit this location once again, More than once when I bought a iPhone key, it will fail after 3-4 weeks of usage but this time, I received a dead on arrival product and walk out of the store not knowing this. As of this update, still be very discriminatory This is why I reduce my shopping experiences here And rather shop elsewhere If I do, it's only for an emergency purposes. read more

Decently sized Target in Long Island City with multiple floors which is nice. It's conveniently located right by the Court Sq station and is usually well organized. They do tend to run out of food stock for certain items pretty quickly as it's probably due to high demand. They have decent amount of inventory for the health and wellness section I'll say. They have a very small electronics and gaming section as well. They have quite a few sales here and there so it's good to check that when buying items. read more

I was trying to edit my previous review before I posted. The beer area was really nice. It was great to finally have a good produce area with cheaper prices then the local stores. The service here was wonderful great. There was a lot of workers on the floor, especially because items are locked in. I was a little shocked to see the toothpaste locked in cages, but I understand the area has been wild lately. When you first go up the escalator they had really good balloon setup. There's a man at a little podium waiting to answer questions. There's more self checkout than there is regular check out. The isles are really big which is good because there's a lot of strollers. There aren't a lot of kid clothes. The bag section for women is next to nothing. They are not a regular target it's more of a grab and go kinda place. They have a lot of electronics here as well. I'm pretty pleased they have a cute little section for pets as well. The makeup section is a little lacking, but that is ok. Overall it's going to be a great edition to the area. There is no Starbucks here but there is a cvs. read more

Having a Target in LIC is better than having no Target, but if I'm honest I had higher hopes for this location. Some sections of this target are robust (like the grocery, produce, and cleaning supplies aisle) where others are barely a section (home goods/decor/organizing, clothing, the clearance section, etc.). Still, the store itself is clean and well organized. If you're coming here in place of going to the grocery store or drug store, I think you'd be pretty happy with the selection of items. The catch here is that there are plenty of pharmacies and grocery stores in the area, which makes it unfortunate that this Target doesn't have those sections that only Target does (again, the decor, organization things, clothing, etc.). The clothing they did have was pretty picked over and most of the sizes only featured XL and up, or super super small sizes, so that was a bummer. Not much of a home section to speak of, just some standard looking towels in the bath aisle and hardly any bedding or pillows. Even the candle section is lacking. Again, better than no Target, but if you're coming here hoping for that traditional Target experience, you're going to be a bit let down. read more

No dressing rooms, the bathroom is extremely hard to get into and if you were looking to steal, much of the medicine and similar type items are under lock and key (we all know why). While staff is accommodating and helpful, they aren't always easy to find. I also don't feel Order Pickup is much of a timesaver here since there's no separate section for that and the only options you have are the main checkout line or doing self-checkout. But...this Target is right near the Trader Joe's so if you were already going to Trader Joe's it makes perfect sense to go to this Target. It's probably somewhere between a hipster Target and a suburban Target in terms of grocery items and general selection. Other than Order Pickup taking longer than it does at many other locations, I have no complaints. read more

This target is surprisingly organized and the staff is helpful upon request. My experiences with the staff were very much positive considering they have to deal with items being under lock and key, from razors to a $2 bag of cough drops. The target is pretty spacious in the scheme of things. The entrance is on 44th drive. If you are going there from trader Joe's, this is good to know because you're going to have to walk all the way around the block if you turn too early. read more

This Target has three floors and is open until 10pm! The inside is clean, organized, and well stocked. I needed six AA batteries and found them on the second floor in Electronics. Target had Duracell AA batteries in packs of four, six, and eight. Prices were reasonable and I was in and out within 10 minutes. Highly recommend if you're in a bind! read more

Great addition to the Long Island City area! It is right by the court square subway station. You go up the escalators and everything is on the 2nd floor. It looked small from the outside but when I got inside it was decently sized with all the essentials you could be looking for. You can even grocery shop. They have a good variety of produce, snacks, etc. I would say compared to larger targets the clothing section is a lot smaller otherwise this target prob has what you could be looking for. There's a self checkout in the front. There is also a CVS pharmacy. It can get crowded but it's clean and new for now. read more

I am beyond excited about this store and is finally open. I live in the next neighborhood of greenpoint from here and the closest one is Atlantic mall. Now I could even take a walk if the weather is nice. The store is perfectly located right across the train station on court square, where few trains are available or the buses the layout is kind of compact since is not a super target, but for a quick Target run is perfect. read more

a new target in long island city queens thats a large chic multi level building . took the escalator to the upper level and signs makes it a breeze to find the section you want to visit. overall typical target stuff from clothing , homegoods , electronics, furniture , baby stuff , food , etc, and its bright and spacious from aisle to aisle .i picked up a few things and the cashier lady was waiting to do something as most customers do self service so i let her ring me up to make her happy and not as bored . overall a good addition to the area and prices are reasonable. read more
