My daughters love Target. I like it more when it's clean and tidy. The Marsha Sharp Freeway Target in Lubbock is probably the better of the two, but it still has gone downhill over the years in my opinion. The ladies in the dressing room area were very kind and communicative. They only asked that everyone return any unwanted garments to them once they were done trying stuff on. Our cashier was nice-ish, but a bit slow. Ample parking. TIP Definitely get a Target Circle Card for everyday 5% off your total. read more

Service sucks. Always has. Both targets in Lubbock are awful. The lines are long because they don't want people in actual lanes. Target has always been my go-to store for general needs. This is because I can always depend on the store to vortex me out of my life's worries and into a drunk-like shopping stupor. My time spent here is always subconsciously narrated by "wow, this is neat!" and "I didn't know I needed this". In the meantime, my shopping list will always come out of here incomplete because it's inevitable they won't have everything I need. So these days when prices are high and money is in short supply, I don't spend much time here wandering around to burn time. I do most of my shopping at Walmart now. But for truly unique finds, and some of the best clothing around for cheap, Target's got you covered. read more

The store is ransacked. Nothing is in its place, no organization. I went to try on clothes, the girls there were just gabbing. She said to pick a room with the door open and to bring back what doesn't work. Every room had 20+ items and hangers thrown everywhere. I put my clothes down and grabbed all the other clothes and hangers and took them to her and let her know that non of the rooms were clean. She just shrugged and said I know. I couldn't even walk down the shoe isles due to boxes everywhere. Trashy. They need to have an overhaul in cleaning and re organizing. Everyone was nice that was working. read more

I came in today to purchase a soda and sweet tea. I was in the area and was needing something to drink for my pre employment drug screening. The closest market to OccMed was Target. So I came here, when I walked into the store I felt like the experience was going to be pleasant, but as soon as I picked my items up and headed for the registers I saw my former General Manager, Jonathan. He was at the cash register helping out another guest. He was speaking to him and giving him the all around guest experience as Target preaches to their employees. He asked him about his day, if he wanted his milk in a bag, and those sort of things. As soon as I'm next in line. Jonathan the cashier does not greet me nor does he ask about my day. Everything is cold, sour, and unfriendly vibe. I didn't appreciate the customer experience at all. All he asked was if it's all set (is that all I was buying) and I said yes. There wasn't very many registers open in the first place. If you're going to respect your guest respect all of them not just the ones you only appreciate. I purchased items from Target and this is how I am treated even though I no longer work there?! If that is the case then don't promote customer experience as being wonderful and your employees should make every guest feel welcome. When I clearly wasn't! When you all cannot even live up to that. I could've been my twin sister that came in and purchased something. A girl that looks exactly like me, but isn't me and Jonathan could've ruined her experience. Target on Marsha Sharp in Lubbock is the first one to stop people from buying cards but their own employees are hoarding them and passing them out to whoever they choose. This whole staff is corrupt over these sports cards. Either put them out or discontinue them altogether. This happened on Wednesday 2/17/21. Most disgusting bathroom I've ever seen. Then after I made them aware it needed attention I went back later and all they had done is put a cart with a closed sign. I looked inside and no one was cleaning it and it had not been touched. I checked again on my way out 45 minutes later and no change and no one working on it. Also when I made a female employee aware of the state of the bathroom she acted completely annoyed and I heard he complain about it to a fellow employee. They were rude and lazy and left their bathroom in complete disarray. read more

Hey folks, so you roll the dice and buy online, 160 dollars, and it ain't worth the trouble to return. I bought a unassembled exercise bike (SOOZIER A90-144, made in China), still not assembled, two days now, it was delivered in a damaged box, the delivery man brought it in and I didn't see the foot long gash until he left. I immediately looked in the box and couldn't see any damage, but wouldn't know until I got the heavy bike out of the box. The delivery man from Target saw the torn box, shouldn't have delivered it for one thing. I've always been a very careful mechanic, put lots of motors together, I know stripped threads. One of the nuts on the pedals, was stripped, I'll have to re-thread. The next thing is the slide that holds the handlebars doesn't easily go into place. It should just slide down into it's base, still haven't got it to go in, maybe with some grease. For the dollars, it seems like a well made, designed bike. I guess I should have bought a fully assembled one off the floor, or had them assemble it there, and should have looked at the box, disappointed in the ethical behavior of the Target delivery man. Favorite Target in Lubbock. The starbucks is always fast and the Target always has the most items compared to the other Targets. I have never seen any trash or filth here. It has more cold options, frozen food, produce, you get the picture. The self check out rarely has a line. And let's get real, that Target popcorn always hits the spot to help me purchase at least $50 of things I may or may not have planned on buying. read more

For the most part, I like the products Target carries, so I make the hour- 45 min drive here. however. .. the traffic situation at the intersection of Marsha sharp x slide is ATROCIOUS and I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the aisles are smaller and harder to navigate through with these newer plastic - design carts. There's also always a kajillion people in this store every time I'm here so parking is always an issue. Three stars for being in the same shopping area as World Market, DSW, Rack room shoes, Burlington and Ulta. There's also a firehouse subs close by so you can really spend all day in pretty much one central area shopping. read more

I shop here all the time because it is close to home. I can't tell you how many times I have found things priced wrong. Just today I got home and noticed something I bought in grocery that clearly had a sign for $2.99 rang up for $3.99. I called and told someone so they could fix it so they didn't overcharge other customers. He told me if I come back he could fix it for me. The CVS pharmacy in this location all though I know it is not related to Target has became hard to deal with and most times don't have the meds in stock. I'm in a wheelchair and had to use the men's restroom with trash all over the floor which transferred to my hands from the wheelchair. The ADA sink did not work so after putting soap on my hands I had to stretch to the next sink. Wal-Mart our does this store and that is pretty bad in my book. read more

It all began this summer when I saw the UT violet mule shoes online as I unknowingly skimmed through Target's website. It was love at first sight. I loved those shoes and they wanted to belong with me. Unfortunately, everyone with my shoe size felt the same way. I opted to have Target email me when the shoes came back in stock. And they did. Two times. And both times, they were sold out AGAIN within just a few hours of restocking! Fast forward to present day. After stocking up on a few fall time necessities in the dollar spot, I chose walk past the shoe aisle... just in case... and I couldn't even believe it. THERE THEY WERE- JUST WAITING FOR ME. IN MY SIZE. I could not believe my luck. Those cute little woven mules would grace my feet with their presence for ages. I snatched them up and checked out. Although I usually check out at the self-checkout, I chose to go to the cashier today. (This choice is one I will forever regret.) After leaving, I hurried home to shower and change to get to a movie in time. Upon returning home from the movie, I began to unload my spoils. To my horror, my beautiful shoes were nowhere to be seen! The cashier had forgotten to hand me one bag! I instantly drove back to the store, my heart beating rapidly in anticipation. I literally ran through the rainy parking lot to get to guest services. The target employee looked in the log book and saw that my shoes had indeed been logged as a "buy and leave". PHEW. What a relief! The employee looked all around behind the counter and could not find them. She radioed someone else who looked elsewhere-nothing. I was then informed that if someone "buys and leaves" that the item is then redistributed to "the floor". As in, put out for someone else to purchase. As in, someone else bought my same pair of shoes a mere 4 hours or less after I had just bought them. Did I cry in Target? Yes. I know it is just a pair of shoes, but I am seriously BAFFLED that someone could buy something, the cashier could accidentally not give it to the customer, and then Target would just put the item back out to be REpurchased by someone else! I have no issues with this location. Target is a great place to shop and has so much to choose from. If you haven't yet, download the cartwheel app that Target has, you can usually find coupons on there for things you are looking for while there. I also want to recommend downloading Shopkick app, you get kicks for walking into places like Target and can use those points for gift cards to places like Target. read more

About a month ago, I went to Target to get some things during this difficult time. I found some small packages of toilet paper, so I put 2 packages in my basket because I didn't want to run out of toilet paper anytime soon and have to look for more. I got a few other things and I went through the self checkout. A guy working the self checkout saw that I had 2 small packages of toilet paper and he told me that I couldn't have both of them, so he took one away from me. Right behind me, checking out with a cashier, was a lady who had 4 of those small packages of toilet paper and they had already scanned them and were allowing her to have them. I wasn't hoarding toilet paper, especially not like the lady behind me was, I was just trying to make sure that I had enough to last me a few days. I have a 17 year old son who's home all the time now. It was extremely rude and unfair for me to be treated that way and for the guy at the self checkout to make such a big scene like that!!!! I refuse to go back there after being treated like this!!!! This was the Target on the Marsha Sharp Freeway in Lubbock, Texas. Even without trying to get lots of toilet paper from Walmart, I've been given much bigger packages that have lasted me much longer than that one small package of 4 rolls from Target. read more

I go to this Target location periodically and it's always the same basic experience. The clothing areas are too small for the carts to fit through and they don't seem to like having more than 2 registers open at any one time and the cashiers are very slow. I think the last time I went the gal who rang me up was more interested in analyzing the items I was purchasing, than actually ringing them up and bagging them. The location is alright...it's your standard shopping center and the only real downside is the intersection. The store seems clean and the employees (like most retail shops now) for the most part ignore you; there's nothing uniquely great or terrible about this location. read more

As an entire store it's very clean and great variety. I wish there were more items that they don't have a lot of or don't carry but it's okay. Customer service is "normally" pretty well. There's one particular woman Rachel who's customer service is TERRIBLE and she shouldn't be aloud to work dealing with customers. It's happened to me twice but that's twice to many with as much business we hold within this store. 1-you do not EVER snatch something out of a guests hand. 2-you do not EVER be rude to a guest even if you feel their in the wrong. If your working make up and see something a guest is doing that is not aloud simply say "excuse me ma'am I just wanted to tell you we're not aloud to open that or excuse me ma'am we have sample strips hiding in this unforeseen corner for the nail polish" No she was rude and snapped and raised her voice and snatched items from me like she was someone important. I loved shopping at Target the staff is always so helpful and friendly but there is one manager, Naomi, that hates when I come in with coupons. The last trip I had she watched as I got my first purchase for free. Mind you never once did the cashier have to manual enter anything the computer took the coupons with no problem and got my balance down to $0. When she saw that she grabbed the coupons from under the register and exclaimed there was no way that was possible, and so on the next transaction changed the face value of every one of my manufactured coupons. A $10.50 coupon she changed to $5.99 and decided she didn't want to take some of them(which I could not argue with because they have the right to refuse any coupons); though the computer never once said too many coupons, or expired or anything of that sort. I was so disappointed in this manager that I will probably never shop at this Target again. There was no reason for her to do what she did, and i am baffled by her behavior. read more

While this is a nice store and is larger than the older Target across town, it rarely has much product out -- at least in health and beauty, jewelry, and kids. Everything seems so picked over every time I walk in and most of the time, I leave empty handed because they don't have what I wanted in stock. The store is clean, the employees are nice, but it definitely has its downsides regardless of the new optical center, produce section, Starbucks, and bigger Target mobile section. While the other store off the Loop is older and isn't as large, it still has nicer, more helpful employees, and a better selection of items all the time. They may be understaffed most of the time, but I still prefer going there over the new one. It has a more homey feel to it that I can appreciate. read more

I had an awful experience with a few of their employees. One was with the person they consider their security person, he was rude and obnoxious. Nothing worse than a security person who couldn't make an officer of the law trying to act like he was one. Tsk, tsk. He approached a female and her child like they were trying to take something without paying. I watched as she paid for her merchandise then took her littlle one to the rest room; I noticed him watching her too but when she came back from the restroom he approached her and started to question her about her belongings, they were her's, as she had already paid for them. He was rude. I felt so badly for her. She did leave with her merchase but he did not have to do that, he saw they were hers. Shame on the slightly heavy security dude. The other person was an assistant manager Payge hope I spelled it correctly, she was helping a customer in the food area, she was so noticable about her conduct, like it was an imposition. That is her job to help customers when others are not around. She was being rude with the hispanic gentleman who was asking for items he couldn't find. She then spoke about him to another manager and they laughed. I am glad he did not see their conduct. I was disgusted and disappointed, I now do most of my shopping at Walmart and Bed Bath and Beyond. Sometimes the lesser of two evils is better. I enjoy buying for family and friends but I don't have to shop at places that do not respect their customers. I hope this assistant manager has a training session on how to be a better manager and treat all persons with respect and the same for the security person. I urge others who shop at this Target write a review if they have encountered or witnessed something similiar. Don't allow employees this kind of power of disrespect for others. read more
