Love that this is a small town, that means that for the most part things that sells out immediately in other locations last a little longer here.. none of those crazy buyers taking it all for resale. This is a regular target layout with a Starbucks inside. The store and restrooms are impeccably clean and thats always a good thing! Had a situation where my kids and I didn't feel safe exciting the store and the staff ensured and escort to our car and waited until we drove off. Kindness can go a long way and I have heard of people say things like the store they visited didn't assist in a situation where they didn't feel safe, glad to say that wasn't my case. read more

I was impressed by this target. My family and I were shopping the day after Christmas. Their Christmas selection was at least 50% off decor and 30% off food. We stocked up on Christmas decorations for next year and then shopped the women's clothes where we picked out a fun sweater at a decent price. Even though the store was busy, we didn't have to wait in line at the checkout, and the employees were friendly and supplied us with gift receipts. Yes, Target is a chain but I've never been in one in which the employees were not friendly and super-helpful. This holds true for the Fleming Island, FL, one. Every employee I have dealt with has gone above and beyond and is so very courteous and helpful. The store is stocked well and in order. Not so at other stores (your competitors). I was looking for more lampshades than on the shelf. The lady at the returns department went overboard to help me order the ones I needed, told me when they would be delivered, and at no charge to me, and on that day the shades were in my hands. What service! It's a shame you can't sell your training manuals to other companies. Should you, I would never have to come home frothing at the mouth when I couldn't get help in some other stores, and the companies who shall remain anonymous. It is such a pleasure to be able to have such a nice experience. Please keep in mind that unhappy people are negative people, are wont to complain even if not necessary, and my experience has been that those souls seldom would be happy with much in life. read more

This is my Target of choice when I don't need a super target. The store is somewhat small but has pretty much anything I need from a target without major groceries. It is easy to get in and out of. The lines are not usually that long and I can get what I need and get out easily. I am perfectly happy driving from Orange Park to this Target. The service is perfectly fine. I have never had an issue and they have wifi inside which is great for when I want to browse cartwheel or the ad while in store since my cell reception can be spotty inside. You can also use the target app to find which aisle items are located in so if you don't have time to browse, you can get in and out quick. The parking lot is a fine size and usually kept up pretty well. read more

Unfortunately, Target closed all of their Garden Centers in 2010 so I only go here once in a blue moon. It is a nice Target Store and usually very organized located on the Island with plenty of parking and a friendly staff. If you're a Target fan and live in the area, it's a good location to visit. This is the store for most everything when you want to avoid Wally World. This is a local, tucked in a residential area Target complete with Starbucks. Last week, I sent my husband on an impossible errand. I needed him to find a gym uniform for my teenage daughter. He went to Walmart first and the lady in the clothing department was unable to help him. He then went over to this Target location and a WONDERFUL woman named Cindy in the clothing department was willing to video chat with me and help my husband find what we were looking for. Cindy was kind in our time of need and went above and beyond her job description by video chatting and holding up items for me too see so we could get the right size and style. The customer service is always been good enough, the stock is adequate, and even though they aren't a super target they have a surprisingly large food section. We go here for all of our non-Publix needs. And we just got their Red Card, so now we'll be saving 5% on EVERYTHING. :) read more

This store has a few older employees but it hires young ppl. Doesn't matter your experience if your young and you know someone you can get a job here. They rarely hire anyone older and that's age discrimination. I've seen so many older ppl apply here as they are always advertising that they are hiring. If your not 18 to 22 forget about it. And if your older and work here your lucky. Change the management staff target. read more

We received a set of sheets for Christmas but did not need them. I looked them up online and the upc led me to Target. I thought, good we can return them and buy something else that we needed. I waited in line to do my return, with no receipt of course. I was asked for my license as ID which I understood. The young lady said something about more than $100 in returns in a year without a receipt which I questioned because I couldn't tell you the last time I made a return if ever at Target, and never without a receipt. She called a supervisor and after discussing with jthey realized these were an online item sold by a third party. Bottom line, no return at store level and gave me an 800 number to call. After talking with Target.com for ~10 minutes, I was told I would need a receipt and also the buyers permission to make the return. I was over it at that point. But I can say that the purchase that I made for my wife earlier in December is the last purchase I will make at Target. That's a poor business model and there are plenty of other places to shop, even in this economy. read more

The Fleming Island Target location is pretty much like any other Target I've shopped at around the country. This one has a Starbucks, though, which I think adds an extra star. Target is definitely the better of the two big chain discount stores as far as quality of products goes, but this location's grocery does not offer any organic produce and very little organic products. So, the other big chain store actually has one up on them in that department. This is still the store I prefer to shop at when it comes to purchasing everyday household items and the occasional tshirt. read more

This target store had the worst customer service ever. As my husband and I approached the line for returns/check out, the manager walked slowly by us and pretended we weren't there. He began chatting up the cart return guy and waddled over to the door complaining about target customers. This guy would have been fired immediately if he worked for us. Eventually, he turned around and I said, "Excuse me. Is this lane open?" He walked off again and yelled at Peggy (who was actually working and stocking shelves). He blamed her for leaving her lane light on AGAIN. What this tells me about Peggy is she must be so busy working hard bouncing back and forth between checking out customers and stocking shelves that she leaves her light on. She seemed to have excellent work ethic. The poor excuse for a manager could have easily turned it off. As a manager, he should have taken notice of the light being on without a customer service rep available at the time...Especially since he was standing behind the counter! Needless to say, he should have noticed us approaching AND standing there. He seemed entitled, like the woman working so hard was there to take the blame for his shortcomings and nothing was his fault. Target should be ashamed to have that guy as an employee in any capacity. He is not fit to lead employees and appeared unwilling to work at all. ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE read more

I'm a bit of a Target addict (who isn't, really?) so I find myself in this store a few times a week. The store itself is clean and well organized (more so since the recent reorganization). It no longer has a Target "cafe" and instead has a small Starbucks. IMO, it's silly to have a Starbucks in the store when there is a free standing Starbucks in the same parking lot. Also, keep in mind the employees working the Starbucks are Target employees and are not trained by Starbucks so if you want anything more than a basic drink, you may be disappointed. It does have a full grocery but does not have the section with freshly made salads, sandwiches, etc as some Super Targets do. The staff is very friendly but they only ever seem to have a couple of checkout lanes open, no matter how busy the store is. Also, despite all the mess recently, I would still recommend the Target debit card. All you need to sign up is a check. It works the same as your bank/credit union debit card but can only be used at Target. You get 5% off in store and online, as well as free shipping online when you use it. read more

(ugh) In the well over 10+ years this Target has been open, they've recently hired some of the worst associates yet with such poor customer service. I'm starting to avoid this Target and instead visit the one all the one off JTB in Marsh Landing (Jax Beach/PVB) since it's close to my work and their associates aren't total jerks. Horrible customer service. Called asking if they had a 10 inch pop and guy said no they sold out. I went there later because I was close by and they had 12!!!!!! The boxes are huge and took up 3 different 6 foot shelves so he couldn't miss it if he would have actually looked. A nice clean store with a great, friendly staff. The lady working in the pharmacy today was especially helpful, pointing us in the right direction for things we were wanting, taking care of our entire purchase at her counter, and giving us some travel tips for our stay in Jacksonville.
