I asked for the reason and he said "you look way too young to be born in that year" now idk if he was flirting or policing but he did not ask anyone else in the store for their id. I decided to leave and speak to a manager. I spoke to two managers, Ben and Samantha who were both very unhelpful unapologetic and cold. They did not introduce themselves or take my name. Samantha actually stared coldly at me most of the time before offering a snarky comment. I had to ask for an apology and no clear next steps were offered to resolved. I mentioned wanting a follow up for the hostile experience and they told me to contact the president of Walmart. I cannot believe that happened. I went to same store to a different cashier and they just followed procedure. I would like someone to address the disparate treatment that I just experienced. They became the leading supermarket by putting a strong emphasis on customer service. They bring the adage "the customer is always right" to new levels. Add to this fantastic BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and that alone makes for a winning combination. Add to this the iconic subs that they make in their deli (affectionately known as Pub Subs) and they become virtually unbeatable. These subs are pretty amazing. I usually go with their Italian sub or their roast beef. Both are excellent and I guess anything you would order at their deli counter would be a winner. I must say that I would definitely recommend this particular location or any Publix, for that matter.
