Overall, my experience was okay, but I need to share a possible safety risk for the handicapped/disabled. The management of this story seems to not be thinking clearly in relation to the disabled who need your electric carts to shop In particular, they've decided to block the nearest entrance int the coffee shop where the electric carts are charging. It would be fine, but they also place displays in front of the coffee shop railing which causes the disabled to walk around who need the railing to keep from falling. As I am one who struggles walking at longer distances, I could be severely hurt as I walk with a prosthetic leg. The other option is to place the electric carts closer to the regular shopping carts to charge them I am just trying to make a better suggestion that could save you from a handicapped person serious injury in your store Thank you, Edward A Casto read more

I usually love to go to this target and go to it all the time. As I was looking for a hair clip and a employee with a big cart was putting things away and I said sorry I need to get around you and she was just rude and was making mean comments. I hope that is the only mean employee and she gets fired soon! She was middle age and had brown hair maybe she was just having a bad day but that is no reason to make someone else have one as well. read more

I really like the Big Hollow Target. Compared to other stores, it is clean will alert and a pleasure to shop in. The carts are noiseless as they are pushed along the aisles. The employees are generally pleasant and actually make eye contact and smile. The one drawback for me is that target is not a Will start to grocery store. They have all kinds of housewares, tableware, kitchen appliances, electronics and more. However, I am often unable to find things in the grocery section such as canned mushrooms, and certain fresh fruits and vegetables. Therefore I am forced to go to another store to get groceries. Kroger's for insurance, has a much better selection of course, and their food items are significantly less expensive. I also go to target for their pharmacy. I really like the people at the pharmacy. They smile and are thoughtful, and one gal there actually knows me by name. read more

They have the least personable and least pleasant person ever, named Chris, working as the customer service manager. I've never had to deal with someone so unprofessional, smug, condescending, and just plain unpleasant. How they don't have this guy working in the back away from all people is beyond me. read more

We stopped by this target and the staff was so friendly! The barista filled our ice waters for our trip, and Tonia was so friendly to us when we were checking out. That hand held checkout was pretty slick. Thank you! read more

After a trip to a Target in a larger city, I was extra disappointed by my local one. First and foremost, too many things are completely out of stock. Does the manager not realize that Target is popular???? It's turning into the new Wal-Mart where you can only buy 50% of what's on your list in any given trip. There is nothing I hate more than an errand that spawns another errand-what a colossal waste of time! TIme I could be sitting by the pool or having my first beer of the night! Instead, thanks to the poor ordering skills of Target managers, I am now driving to Store #2 to finish my shopping. Also, they need to just quit selling produce there. No one buys it and it looks terrible and then goes completely to waste. Just ship it directly to homeless shelters as a donation and skip the time it sits around rotting in the store. Back to the managers, I have never seen Target employees this disgruntled and downtrodden EVER. I always blame the managers because they set the tone for any retail location. I was buying something red and the checkers says "Oh, I never wear anything red outside of work because it just reminds me of this place" with a SHUDDER. Truly, a shudder. Do they get whipped for not signing up more credit card offers? Are they forced to work 36.999 hours a week to avoid being offered insurance? I'm from the Birmingham, AL area and we have Super Target, which is like a Walmart Supercenter. It's a full grocery store on one side and the other stuff on the opposite side. The fact that there are NO Super Target locations up here is a real big bummer. Yes, this location has a grocery section, but it's piddly in comparison. The thing that irks me the most though is the lack of stock. I've gone in twice looking for a product and it's been completely out both times. I'm usually a big fan of Target, but I'm not loving this one. read more

if I could lower this, I would. I had a horrible check out process. I called the manager over because the cashier charged me twice for 2 items and I told her she did and she denied it. Had some empty shelves as if things needed to be stocked. Super busy at check out, very long lines with only 3 open registers. Grabbed a coffee at Starbucks on the way out which was great and the employees there were very friendly but also working the pizza hut stand so very long wait there as well. We were in East Peoria, Illinois and had found some threshold products that we liked. They were on clearance for 70% off, they were incredible buys. We purchased a gas fire pit, two chairs, a rug and a love seat for our patio. Well we wanted two more chairs and we were told that the Peoria, Illinois store had several left. So we drove the fifteen miles to get to the Peoria Store and then we were told that each store sets their own clearance prices. Even though a sign big and bold said 70% off in front of the chairs, a grill I would have purchased and another gas fire pit I would have purchased none of the stuff was on sale, none. So I called the store and spoke with a manager I believe his name was Tom, very short and rude. Really just said it is what it is, didn't offer to help me didn't offer to send anything to the east Peoria store really just didn't offer any help. I've been in retail my entire life and it just didn't make sense. I can buy it fifteen miles away for 70% off here I couldn't and then to be treated rudely. I like the east Peoria Target but will never shop in the Peoria Target again. People skills Tom, get some! That's what keeps people coming back. read more

The people in charge of this Target store are to be commended. I needed to do some grocery shopping on Black Friday (never a great idea, but unfortunately I didn't have a working car in the days leading up to it) and initially I cringed at the sight of the checkout line. But they had it clearly marked with dividers and there was an employee at the front monitoring the checkout lanes and directing people to the next one that opened up. Despite snaking about halfway across the store, the line moved amazingly fast and I was able to get checked out after about the same amount of waiting on a normal day. This is entirely because all of the lanes were open and they had a system set up to optimize the process. This is the right way to handle Black Friday. I plan to write to Target and tell them about how well this store was operated. read more

As far as Target's go, this is a clean, typical target. I have been to better and to worse, but ths is the only one in Peoria, so it is my usual visit. Overall, I prefer Target to Walmart as in many towns, Walmarts tend to be ghetto. In Peoria, there is a nice Walmart on Allen that is better than this Target. However there is nothing majorly wrong with this one. Much like everyone else states, they seem to run out of items, and do not get them stocked very quickly. However, they are friendly enough and seem to have the sale items if you ask for them. read more

Shopped at this Target and then drove a half hour to get home. At home, realized they double charged me for a $30 item. Called the store; they said I would have to drive all the way back into Peoria to receive a refund. Called corporate; they said the same thing. They also said that they could not give me any sort of gift card or remuneration for my time and gas money. With gas at $4/ gallon I find this to be ridiculous! What poor customer service. It was Target's cashier who made the mistake!! I'm heading back there to return every single item I purchased today, and will never shop Target again. read more

Just got done shopping here. Should be a 0 star option. Shopping for dresses for my sister's wedding with my wife. My wife is 8 months pregnant and when we got to the register the cashier stopped ringing them up and looked at my wife asking if she thought these would really fit her or if she wanted to go get a different size or maybe a different dress. Who says that to a woman!? Let alone one who is 8 months pregnant. Absolutely ridiculous!!! read more
