I have shopped at Target for over 35 years starting in VA then MN and now Sarasota. Live closest to one near Tamiami and shop sometimes at UTC. THIS one has some of the nicest , calm, gracious and friendly staff of all. Everyone here is " very low key/chill', and ALL are either running or working very hard consistently. Starting 6 weeks ago I am now doing my grocery store shopping primarily HERE instead of very $$& Publix . We get fish meal poultry etc at Costco. The fresh fruit and fresh vegetables are very very good/ in almost perfect condition. The fresh chicken is also excellent . Have tried various sausages and they are great. Slowly trying their VERY fresh proteins. Organic Vital eggs are much better priced here too. Love Dave's 21 grain breads which have thicker bigger slices than Costco. Extremely healthy whole grain bread- - great toasted. Food sales here are VERY widespread and it is easier to stick to essential items here when food shopping than Publix ( too many temptations). Buy horizon organic milk, some frozen foods, etc. Weekly shop for a good amt of food for two is just $75!! This store is very clean and the customer service staff are EXCELLENT! The check out staff are wonderful calm gracious very warm and friendly . And staff throughout the entire store are SUPER helpful. There is always someone at the dressing rooms to help. I find after comparison shopping that I am doing 80% of our household items shopping at Target.com and shopping here plus Costco. We are able to keep on budget - - vital these days! Enjoy! read more

Driving through target parking lot is crazy. No pedestrians use the prescriped crosswalks, I tried navigating the parking lot just this past weekend, and as I'm driving an EMPLOYEE in a red vest decides to just walk right out in front of my moving vehicle. Literally a crosswalk on either side of what looked to be a tall, masculine female, not ten feet away from them. Is this how you train your employees? read more

Went to this Target yesterday for some storage boxes and was distracted by the vast inventory of swimsuits. They didn't have my size in what I wanted so Stephanie, the Target employee there, went out of her way to help me order it and have it delivered to my house. Great employees make shopping fun. Nobody ever answers the phone. I've called several different days over the course of a mobth. Never once did they pick up.

I love Target! There was only 1 in Bradenton on US 41 and recently this one opened up and it's a SUPER Target !! Target is famous for clean stores, wide aisles and a great selection of everything! This store is no exception. I had never seen a SUPER Target before - wow! This one has a full grocery store, a Starbucks, Target cafe and much more! I have never seen so many checkout stands in my life - 30 or more I think - I have NEVER had a problem waiting in line to check out! LOL One problem I ran into, was back in Feb 2007 I went in to purchase a LCD TV that was on sale - it was a great price and hard to find in stock. I got there just as the store opened at 8am and there were NO 'team members' in the electronics section. They were doing morning exercises! Yes that's right! The whole store meets up by the front registers and has a store meeting and stretching exercices every day. I used to work at Target (1990) so I know how helpful this can be for team building as well as safety. Anyhow - after 15 minutes, someone came to help me but they didn't have the TV in stock. The 'team member' called another store and they had one and helpd it for me - I got there and bought it! Thanks Target!! read more

I went to Target this past Saturday to look for yeast for baking bread. Apparently this store has no interest in protecting patrons or employees during this COVID pandemic. Families, friends and couples were shopping as if there was no special requirements in place. Very few people had face coverings (to protect others). Customers were handling many items and returning them to the shelf. In my opinion, the store has every right, and a responsibility, to protect customers and workers. It's obvious that this is not as important as making profit. read more

As Targets go- this is a pretty good one. I was there right after Christmas and expected the place to be picked over but it wasn't. The shelves were fully stocked, the aisles were clear and they had plenty of staff to help you out. Even the bathrooms at this place were in decent shape which is not always the case! And you can actually park pretty close to the front door which is another bonus. The cashier who helped me was still in the holiday spirit so she was personable and friendly. And the second more than 2 people were in line- the manager quickly opened up another line for check out . . .Sweet! I was in, and out, and on my way within 15 minutes. Whilst visiting family in Bradenton, everyone wanted to go to the HSN store that's next to Target. Since it's all a business away from each other, we opted to go in and browse the Spot as well. A Target is a Target and it's clean, staff is nice and there weren't any complaints to be heard about. I don't know if I'd be so quick to return, mainly because I am in Fort Myers and there are a few Targets closer to me. It was still a good experience and I got to compare some of the departments' stock to what I've got locally. read more

Absolutely terrible service. Had a single old man in front of me at the electronics department and spent 25 min waiting to be acknowledged. All I needed was an an item locked to a shelf to be removed so I could purchase it. While the only employee apparently who has access to remove tags off electronics spent this full 25 min failing to explain to an old man that his phone couldn't ring any louder, 6 other target employees passed me who apparently had zero access to helping me purchase this item. I wouldn't be nearly as distressed if the target tech had once looked at me or let me know he would be with my as soon as possible. Either way. Absolutely terrible service, and I say this as an avid fan of target. I left without purchasing my expensive piece of equipment and will avoid this target in the future read more

This review is for the Starbucks inside of this target. I could not find a yelp for them but since they are connected to the target I am posting here. Literally the most horrible customer service experience I have ever dealt with. I ordered a Grande Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino and didn't end up taking a sip until I left the store. My mistake. It was completely sour and bad. No sweetness to it what so ever. I had to get back to work so figured I'd call once I got there instead of going back in and wasting my work time. Well the "manager" I talked to on the phone advised unless I came back in before 4pm with my gift card that I paid with there is nothing they can do for me. Well hello, I'm at work until 5:30 tonight so that's impossible. And basically was like sorry about your luck there's nothing I can do for you. What awesome customer service right?! This was my first and last time at this Starbucks. read more

I like this Target and would normally have rated them a 5. The employees are friendly and seem to care about the customer' concern. Their prices are generally less than Publix and that is probably still true. Today I went to purchase several cans of Progresso soup, which has recently gone up from $1.48 per can to $1.69 a can. I was pleased to see little red signs in front of all the Progresso soups announcing "new lower prices!". That is, I was pleased until I saw the prices had actually gone up to $1.99 per can. I asked for the grocery manager and was told by a polite young man that he was off, I went to the front registers and was told them the issue to a polite young woman. While she listened, no offer was made to make the situation right. This is false advertising, Target, and I expect on adjustment to be made. I wii save my receipt and try to find a manager on my next trip. You can do better, Target. BTW, the first young man did go and check the prices and was aware that the price had increased, but left up all the "lower price" signs up. read more

I've been to this Target several times and it's definitely better than Walmart. It clean, sales associates are pleasant, and I've NEVER had a long wait. They always have enough cashiers available to service the volume of patrons. My only complaint is that the clothing aisles are a little over-crowded (can't get the shopping cart through some of them). What I love most is the healthy & organic food options they offer. read more

They eliminated the return desk and have it combined with checkout lanes. It's very confusing to figure out where you're supposed to go to return something. They had 3 lanes in this area with their lights on but only 1 had a clerk who was helping a lady checkout. The other 2 were unmanned. The set up makes no sense. read more

Not sure why this place has all these glowing reviews. Went to return an item here and I couldn't find the customer service desk. Asked a lady at the register "Where can I return an item?"and her snarky response was "Guest services. We are all guest services." So I followed with "So I can return my item at any register?". She came back with another snarky response but this time she enunciated her words and said them slowly "What did I say?! We are all guest services. Read the sign!" I couldn't believe I was being treated this way. Just a simple yes or no answer would have been suffice. I was pissed but just told her to calm down. I did get my item returned at another register but was furious with my encounter with that rude employee. read more

Yikes!! Do us all a favor and just CLOSE THE STORE while you do the hard remodel!!! Toilets are OUTSIDE, IN THE DARK, WITH NO SECURITY. The pet food is nowhere to be seen and there isn't sign one saying where stuff has moved to or if it's just not in stock during the rebuild. SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY!! read more

The manager got on the phone with me and told me that she didn't like my attitude after I told her that I drove 15 to 20 miles to her target and I didn't get the items in my bag. This Target is a Super Target which sells groceries, frozen items, and fruit. They have everything you could possibly want. The lines are long but they utilize a lot of registers and they move really fast. read more

Live this Target! I visit this Target at least 4-5 times a week. This has replaced my Wal Mart and grocery store visits, thankfully. There are always great sale items on the end caps, a diverse selection of items(even though not a super Target), and the employees are helpful and nice to my young children. I've been to a Super Target once befotre (I think-like 10 years ago--my last trip to Orlando)... and wow.. these are HUGE.. they have pretty much everything you need. I'd like to say that I was super impressed.. but I wasn't.. only because I came here for vacation... didn't really need to do normal shopping. But if I did, Super Target is definitely one of my first choices. read more

I am so happy with this Target's pharmacy. They really take care of things in a very organized and caring manner. This is regular-sized Target and even though it's not a Super Target it does offer a decent grocery selection, as well as clothing, toys, health and beauty needs along with electronics. Sometimes they don't have enough cashiers but usually you can get what you need and be in-and-out pretty quick. read more
