Stained glass window (one of many available)
    Lindsey S.

Love, love, love this place! I could spend hours here! The first time I visited SAS was probably close to 15 years ago and it's still just as awesome today. Of course some items are higher priced than some people may imagine but this isn't really comparable to a thrift store or goodwill - these are items you will likely NEVER see or find again! Still, some of these items are priced at less than half of what a new mass-produced one would cost and there is of course zero sentimental meaning and far less uniqueness that route. (I'm looking at you, red door with stained glass that I've been thinking about since leaving ) This is *the* place to go if you're looking for "that" piece you need to fill a space or even if you're missing a piece from something old and antique! They have millions of old doorknobs, old stained glass windows, lighting fixtures (both interior and exterior), tons of random lumber (need a replacement piece for your original hardwood floors? I bet you'll find something there!) and the list goes on! Do yourself a favor and stop by. They also now have an online site where you can check out some of their inventory and even do order online for pickup! Check it out!

July 2022: What you'll see as you enter this business

4.5 stars rounded up! This is a quality salvage business since it first opened in 2003. Its owner opened the company "w/ an environmental mission." He & his employees perform the actual salvage work. There's a small parking lot, but street parking is available. The warehouse is large and clean. The two outside merchandise areas, coupled w/ the actual warehouse, boasts 10,000 sq feet. (The interior alone nets 7,500 to 8,000 sq feet). This company serves the "D.I.Y" customer. The acronym stands for "Do It Yourself" customer. Hours are 9:00 PM to 5 PM six days weekly-- closed on Sunday. The two staffers on site were very friendly. (They even provided us w/ information on other salvage businesses we might like.) We had come here in search of mid- century bath fixtures, & we lucked out. The prices on the ones we found were very reasonable. However, many items ran quite high, and many items had no price listed, which are two reasons we feel this is not currently a 5-star business. I, especially, am not a fan of running repeatedly to the checkout counter to ask how much an item costs. There were two items I was interested in, but neither was priced (so they weren't purchased). I posted so many photos of this establishment to showcase what was offered on our visit-- light fixtures; bulbs & shades; chandeliers; standard & pane windows; stained glass; vintage Coca-Cola dispensers; drawer & cabinet hardware; drawer knobs & handles; MANY large collectible letters (see pics); tubs, sinks, & bathroom fixtures; tools; glass & paneled doors; flooring; wood; reclaimed lumber; fence posts; iron; lattice work; custom iron & wood furniture along w/ patio furniture & garden art; signage; bar wood; faucets; vintage beer cans & license plates; fountains & sculptures; fifty Annie Sloan Chalk Paints & accessories; & just about EVERYTHING you'd expect to find at a quality salvage business. Don't want to drive over to scour thru the inventory? Check out the company website. Customers can purchase online before driving over to pick up their orders. If you want your purchase shipped, just phone for a shipping quote. This business is holding a blood drive on July 30 (2022) from 10 AM to 3 PM. Those who donate will get $20 off their orders or an S.A.S. t-shirt. Shoppers will be treated to a free hotdog & chips from 11 AM to 1 PM. This is a locally-owned company whose owner gives back to the community by raising money for different causes, such as Southeastern Guide Dogs. He provides donations to numerous non-profits, & accepts consignments on their behalf. Over the years, S.A.S. and its owner have earned awards. I RECOMMEND YOU STOP IN should you be in search of reclaimed items for your home, business, and/or yard. It's definitely an INTERESTING salvage warehouse to browse. We'll return.

    Glass vase melted into driftwood

This store is an absolute treasure. I'm here visiting from California we had seen them at the Farmers Market and decided to stop in. We found so many cool, exciting have to have things! Settled on a glass vase melted on to drift wood. Very unique with so many uses. We each bought one. Currently one has a bouquet of red carnations , very stunning centerpiece on the dining table. Walked around the entire store every nook and cranny has wonderful finds! For anyone into vintage items and loves the hunt this is the perfect place. So many treasures to choose from. Danielle is a gem!!! Very sweet, kind, and personable. Thank you Danielle for making our shopping a very fun experience. This truly is a memorable place. Looking forward to my next visit to find something unique to bring home.

It's refreshing to know that we now live in the day and age where re-purposing seems to be more popular than buying the cheap throw away imported junk that's been the trend over the last few decades. I've visited a number of these "salvage" stores in the last few years and all of them have been quite interesting to dig through and for the most part have been semi-organized and this one is no exception. The massive inventory here is filled with treasure for those that seek the nostalgic and don't mind spending a few hours picking thought the thousands of pieces preserved here, most of these items would have long ago been buried in some land-filled and lost forever even though a lot of the pieces were built to last and be enjoyed forever. Even though the owners have tried to present this colossal collection of dated salvage architectural treasure in a manner that make its somewhat manageable to view you'll still have to dig to find those unique pieces that you seek so dress in something comfortable and bring your imagination and let the fun begin. I thought the prices were reasonable for what it is although some may feel it's overpriced junk and I somewhat respect those opinions but thinking you'll find this kind of stuff in this quantity at a flea market or thrift store is ridiculous. This is the first place you should shop before committing to a project if for nothing more than for ideas...

    So many delightful things!!
    Miche

What fun it was to see all the treasures under this big top ! Haha! There is a fair amount of Ringling Circus stuff. So many old things . I want about 10 things . I'll be back!!

This a super great place to find those unique hard to find, one of a kind pieces you need to make you place perfect. They have lots and lots of antiques and architectural salvage you could ever wish for. Heck they even have a bone yard to pick and choose from. Best of all on the weekends if you stop by they offer you one free soda or beer while you peruse the many items they have to offer!!!! This place is a must stop and see that's for sure

    Nine Panel Barn Door

As we remodel homes and sometimes flip them I was on the hunt for a few sturdy doors. I had in mind to hang them barn door style and wanted specifically 9 panel. I am very happy with what I found and pricing wasn't too bad either. Since this one was for a bathroom I frosted the glass. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for the unique and special accent pieces.

    Love these chairs! Perfect!!

Delivery was delayed as Ashley said they received only one mattress and had to wait for the second. Once delivery was made it became immediately evident that one mattress was thicker than the other. I was tempted to refuse delivery, but was told by their delivery person that these mattresses, which were shipped rolled up in a box, take up to 24 hours to fully expand. Well, "full expansion" never occurred and one mattress remains thicker than the other. Ashley did nothing until we filed a dispute with the finance company. Ultimately, they have sent a technician to the house twice, and have confirmed, on both inspections, that the mattresses are different heights. Ashley insists that they meet specification and will not correct. This leaves one side of a king size bed higher than the other. Our recommendation is to not buy from Ashley as their quality is questionable, and their customer support is non-existent. Should you elect to proceed with a purchase, please inspect thoroughly on delivery and refuse immediately if there are any problems/defects; otherwise getting your purchase corrected will be very difficult, if at all.

We received one power and one manual recliner. The manager and I played phone tag, and he ultimately never got back to me, so I paid for something I never received. I was not happy to pay for something I did not get the benefit of, but the one power recliner worked well and those chairs served us well until recently when they were just too old and needed replacing. When we were in the market for new recliners in October of 2024, the chairs we purchased in 2019 were no longer available. So, I purchased two identical power recliners (one of which is pictured (the store model, not our chair)) outright for $2,182,96 including tax and delivery charges. The chairs were delivered on October 19, 2024. One was used by my mother who had been in and out of the hospital three times since August. The other was used by my uncle who is in congestive heart failure and likes to sleep in a recliner to breathe easier. Neither chair's power feature felt right since they arrived; they always felt wobbly, if that makes sense. The power feature never felt sturdy like our 2019 power recliner from Furniture Warehouse. By November 2024 (a month after we purchased it), my mom's recliner broke. Last week, four months after we purchased it, my uncle's recliner broke. Neither one of them is strong enough to make the chair recline manually. I asked Furniture Warehouse to pick up both chairs and refund the full total I paid for them so I can start over and get my recovering mother and sick uncle reclining power chairs that will actually work. I see the negative reviews Furniture Warehouse has online, but I thought it more fair to reach out to them directly to see if they would help me rather than take to the internet. However, Maggie was zero help. I asked her to escalate. She escalated to Carol in Furniture Repair. Carol never told me what she does for Furniture Warehouse; I had to ask. She then proceeded to tell me the recliners would be repaired and she could do nothing else for me. In my opinion, Carol conveyed zero empathy and zero customer-service savvy. Before I became an attorney, I did customer service jobs and I always listened with compassion and tried to solve for customers' concerns. As an attorney, I do the same now with my clients. There was none of that with Carol. I, likely, would have been better off with GenAI helping me as it could have given me the same pat, gate-keeping responses Carol did. I explained to Carol that since both chairs were made poorly and both broke, common sense tells us that they'll break again after repair, and I need working recliners for recovering/sick relatives. I asked Carol to either pick them up and refund my money -OR- replace them with something that will work. She would do neither, so I asked to speak to a General Manager, but she would not allow me to talk to anyone other than those in the Furniture Repair department. Carol ended up hanging up on me. In 2019, I paid for a power recliner I never received and I never made a fuss with Furniture Warehouse after furnishing my entire house with them. Now, I ask them to help me after they sold me horrific quality products and they won't?! I see my business truly does not matter to them one bit, so I will no longer use Furniture Warehouse when I furnish my properties. I already reached out to orders@thefurniturewarehouse.com, so no need to give me your standard response with that email address as it was no help.

(At the time, we noticed a mark of some kind on one of the arms.) Tara, our sales person, told us that there were two of these in stock, and that we wouldn't have to wait for three month if we were okay with that color. So we had her write up the order for a new one, which was to be taken from their local stock. Delivery was to be made on Wednesday, and as it turned out, it was brought out a day earlier than that. Upon arrival, I noticed that the chair was not boxed as you would normally expect for a piece like this. The guys proceeded to carry it to the front porch where I asked to inspect it before taking it inside. I noticed that the piece was marked up in several places, with dents (or impressions) on the backside. And interestingly enough, there was a mark on the arm in the same place as the floor model. Hmm! Needless to say, I refused the delivery, and phoned Tara, explaining the situation, and asked her if they had sent out the floor model instead of a new one. She didn't know. So I asked if she could go back and look to see if the model was still there. Of course, she was too busy, but after pressing the issue, she reluctantly went back and looked. And sure enough the model was gone. I then asked if she would check and see if they had a new one in stock or not. She said she would look into it and call me back. I waited 24 hours, but no call back. Since it had already been too long of a wait, I ended up initiating a call from my end. Even after trying, I wasn't able to find out why we were sent a floor model without someone calling ahead of time to see if we would be okay with that, or since she was the one who sold the piece why she 'supposedly' wasn't told about it beforehand. I was also puzzled as to why the store manager never called us to try and make things right. She did apologize, I'll give her that, but then she went on to say, "there were much bigger problems in the world." I didn't disagree with that, but that certainly didn't explain her company's lack of integrity in working with us. Anyhow, we did agree on a charge credit, but what a horrible experience and time waster this was for us! You might want to think twice before giving this company your business.
