I was in the area as I had flown into Charleston for a marathon down in Williamson. After eating breakfast at the nearby IHOP, I stopped in here to buy some water and a bottle of sports drink before continuing on with my trip. Per the usual with almost all Target stores, the store was clean and well organized. It was very easy for me to locate what I wanted to buy. The prices were pretty standard for any Target. It was decent, but not the best. It was a very short wait for me to use one of the self checkout kiosks to pay for my items. read more

We just needed a handful of items. We got what we needed. The store was clean. Laid out well. And - gasp! - they had humans operating a couple of the checkout lanes. WINNING!!!! That isn't so common these days. And it will always be my preference. Selection and value were the same as any other Target. The service was a bit better in that they had humans working some of the registers. read more

I usually love Target shopping. But beware. Watch your receipt! I bought 2 kiddie beach towels stocked on an end shelf with a 30% off sign above all of them. When I got home I noticed only one town was discounted. When I went back to the Target thinking they'd make it right and give me the 30% discount, the young clerk scanned the item and said, Nope it doesn't look like it's on sale. So I said, It might not be now but it was and it is same brand same style (different character) as the one that was correct. Sorry she said. So I returned it and got my few dollars back. It's not about the money - It's about doing the right thing or even going one step further and looking up that week's sales. read more

This is a regular Target, which means that it isn't a SuperTarget with the large grocery and produce and meat sections. It has all the other departments, laid out the same as any other Target. Greeting cards, electronics, clothing, personal care and as mentioned, not a full grocery but still enough to grab a few bits. Well lit, the cart had no busted wheels and their in-store wifi worked great. read more

I live about 50 or so miles from here but I really enjoy my trips to here to shop. Lots of nice stuff and cool things we can't get in our small town. Store always well stocked and clean and employees friendly and a small Starbucks is located inside for a cup or coffee and snacks. read more

Me and my friend were trying on clothes for a party and the associate at the fitting rooms said in a very rude tone "separate fitting room". If she would have been kinder and asked us to go into separate ones, I would have been understanding, I know it's for safety. But, I felt as if I was being disciplined. I'm a grown adult, I do not need disciplined. The fitting rooms were very dirty with clothes on the ground as well as hanging up, and dirt was on the floor. This is unprofessional, if she is taking her job that seriously, she needs to clean. It made my friend cry because of how rude she treated us. I will never shop in their clothes again. We also walked through the grocery section and found moldy bread rolls. read more

Hm....what can I say about Target that isn't just a "duh" thing...? Well, this particular Target has a grocery section that sells chips, snacks, some canned goods, baking goods, and a bit of the cold stuff (milk, icecream, frozen food) as well as wine and beer. I've never seen wine or beer at other Targets, so I don't think that's the norm. Clean, well-organized, with helpful staff. People who shop here don't seem to be as nasty/aggressive/poorly dressed as people at Walmart. read more

This is the worst Target I've been in. I was in the store 5 days in a row when we first moved here. The shoe and curtain dept didn't look to be maintained at all. Things that were out of place on day 1, were still out of place on day 5. The electronics dept and ladies dept appeared to be the cleanest. The shoe dept remains the worst area. I heard a couple of employees say that they would leave something for a new person...and I wasn't even in the shoe dept at the time. As a customer, don't leave it for someone else. Stock and clean up NOW! Very sad. read more

Maybe the bad reviews caught them on an off day because I just left and was surprised at how updated, clean, and how much variety of options there were. The staff were all friendly and the checkout girl held a great conversation. I've been to A LOOOT of Targets and this is probably one of the best ones when it comes to options and updates. The pictures of it on yelp or super outdated and looks no where near how it does now. read more

The best thing I like about Target is that it helps me avoid having to go to Walmart. Other than that, it's a typical Target.

Nice place to shop when wanting to avoid the Walmart-type crowd. Also, shopping here seems more peaceful than being at Walmart. I only wish the grocery selection was just has big. read more

I will never shop at the Target in South Charleston, WV again. My family and I went into the Target yesterday, and we were super excited to see the Jurassic World brachiosaurus on display and for sale. We put one in the cart, and my daughter was beside herself with excitement. We went to check out, and we were told that we could not purchase it, because the street date was not until today. So.....why was it out? There was no signage saying it wasn't available to purchase. Plus, we live about 2 hours away from our nearest Target. My daughter was heartbroken. The manager on the floor was extremely rude, but did agree to put one back on reserve if we wanted to drive back up to Charleston today. We agreed to do so, as my daughter has been waiting for this toy to come out for over a year. Before we left Charleston yesterday evening, we decided to stop by AGAIN to make sure that it would be held back for us so that we wouldn't make an unnecessary trip today. We were reassured that it would be there. So....cut to this morning. My mother offered to make the drive today to pick it up. My husband called around 8:30 a.m. to AGAIN make sure that it was being held. He was told yes, they had it. My mother and daughter arrived around 11a.m. They had sold it. The manager on duty, Jessica Harmon was EXTREMELY rude and called us liars. She said that there was no way it was out on the shelf yesterday (it was) and that no one would have agreed to hold it (3 employees did). So....what do you say, Target? Are all of your employees that rude? 8 hours were spent in a car this weekend for nothing. read more

I usually come here on black Friday and they have really good deals then. but I have shopped here a few other times and the staff seems helpful when u need them. The checkout process is really quick and usually has a bunch of registers open. The bathrooms are always clean and smell like the beach which is totally awesome to me lol. read more

Jenna, the studio manager, photographed my 4 month old granddaughter and the whole experience was awesome. I brought multiple outfits and she chose the ones she thought would work best and she was right on the money. Jenna was very professional and showed amazing attention to detail, right down to the placement of the headband. She was very aware of how much our little one could handle in one setting and used every minute to get the best shots. Afterwards, she was able to show me all of the picture and give me advice on all of the best options for what we wanted. We are so pleased with all of our portraits and will definitely go back again! read more

Way overpriced for the the small amount of things, but super cute decorations for bedroom or house.

I scheduled an appt and was not told it was only a 15 minute appt. It was rushed, with a get them in get them out mentality...and my appt was late so I didn't even get a full 15 minutes. I chose two backgrounds and had to basically make her do the second one because of her rush. Because of that I feel my pictures were not as good as they could have been by ANY means. Purchased anyway, and was told my pics would be back on a certain date. Called that day, was told to come on in to pick up only to find out I drove 45 minutes one way and the pics were not in and no one had bothered to pick up the phone or tell me (even though I had just called them saying I was coming that day). When I arrived I was told they would likely "give" me the extra prints that they send in order to try and get you to buy even more....wow...thanks....I ordered all I needed. Called back on the day they said they would be available only to be told by the person working that he was busy and would call me back....which I refused, made him talk to me anyway. Sorry, not impressed at all. Ridiculous. read more

This is the worst Target I have ever been to. They are understaffed every single time I have been in there. They will only have 1 or 2 registers open in the entire store, and no attempt is made to call for help. You are better off going to Walmart, and that is really saying something. read more

This store is amazing. It is always very clean and a pleasure to walk in. Everyone there is friendly and more than helpful. I recently shopped here in hopes of saving money using some coupons I had found for a few items. They had a couple of the items on display and I had a real hard time finding them. It took me no time at all to find an employee to assist me and he knew exactly what it was I was looking for and exactly where to find it. he didn't just point me in the direction but actually took me to both products. Not to mention this particular being awesome but Target in general is amazing. Good low prices for quality stuff. I love shopping at Target and going to this one makes it even better. read more

Target is a joke NUKA COLA was supposed to be IN STORE ONLY but I was there when the doors opened and what do you know they had already sold out ONLINE!!! In Store pick up is what they said but that wasn't supposed to be available and wasn't avialable for stores that still had it in stock.
