The delivery men were patient when I had to turn the water off to the house as the shut off valves were corroded and set the washer up very timely. We recently ordered a couch and two recliners, and when the recliners arrived, they were dirty right out of the box. Instead of replacing the damaged items or taking responsibility for delivering furniture in unacceptable condition, customer service tried to send us through the warranty process just to have them cleaned. Why should a customer who paid for brand-new furniture have to go through a warranty claim to fix a problem that existed upon delivery? To make matters worse, getting help was incredibly frustrating. Reaching anyone is nearly impossible. Expect long hold times, endless transfers, and voicemails that seem to go nowhere. Customer service was difficult to reach and offered little resolution once we finally got someone on the phone. For a major furniture purchase, I expected much better quality control and customer service. Unfortunately, this experience has been disappointing from start to finish. I would strongly recommend shopping elsewhere if you value responsive customer service and receiving furniture in the condition you paid for. read more

Big sandy will never get my business again. l've had so many issues, including missing pieces and damaged pieces. It was delivered in April 2nd and still do not have all of this resolved. i was missing a dining room chair, nightstand and hardware to my bed(which I still do not have). they had to send my table back because it was so damaged. suppose to be refunded for table and chairs and they have no showed me 2 Thursdays in a row. just save yourself the headache and buy furniture somewhere else read more

I've had two items damaged upon receiving from delivery. First: Dinning room table and then second delivery: mirror from bed room dresser. It's very discouraging at a customers standpoint! I purchased an entire suite of kitchen appliances from big Sandy superstore. I had to drive over two hours with the brand new refrigerator. Their warehouse to get a new one when it didn't work out of the box. Since then, it is broken again and they made four trips to my house to fix it and failed. Then my stove quit working just before Thanksgiving and they made multiple trips here and we're unable to repair it by Thanksgiving eventually they realize that they weren't going to be able to fix it. Now my dishwasher has not been working for the past month and they've been here once and we're unable to fix it again and the second time they simply didn't show up claiming their truck was broken down on the side of the road. At 4:15 I saw it driving down the road 3 miles from my house, they never showed up. Over a dozen trips to my house to fix three appliances, and they have not managed to fix a single appliance. When you try to complain or speak to a manager, they make it abundantly clear that they truly do not give a shit! Our driver and delivery team were fabulous, they didn't scratch a thing and were very polite. My only complaint was that we didn't receive a phone call, text, or email to let us know that our furniture had arrived to the warehouse. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. On October 16th I purchased a $3500 sectional. Wasn't planning on purchasing the warranty, but was talked into it when the sales team reassured me that, if anything was damaged, it would be repaired in a timely fashion. So I paid the additional $500. Anything was worth it in order to have everything in order by Thanksgiving (well over a month away). By the 28th, I realized it had been broken in 2 places during shipping. I contacted customer service immediately and they instructed to send pictures, which I did. They told me no one could come out until November 22nd. I was upset, but was under the impression that they were coming to repair it, so at least it would be ready for Thanksgiving. When he finally arrived, he literally looked at it for 2 minutes, took MORE pictures and told us someone would be here AFTER CHRISTMAS to repair it. Sooo,...$4000 for the sectional, the warranty and my ruined Thanksgiving, and all they could tell me is that they're "sorry for the inconvenience." All I can say is that if you purchase something from there, you better pray nothing goes wrong. And buying the warranty is a waste of time AND money. read more

Buying from Big Sandy Superstore is the worst experience we have EVER experienced ! We bought a $1200 Speed Queen washing machine 3 1/2 years ago and it quit working. We called Big Sandy to have a repairman come at the end of January. It is the middle of March and they finally get the parts and come to fix it today, only to get here and realize they have the wrong parts. TWO MONTHS that we have been waiting to get our machine repaired! They did nothing to try to get us on their schedule earlier and we ended up requesting our $700 back so we can now go elsewhere and buy a new washing machine. We have bought a lot from them in the past, but I wouldn't so much as buy a pack of gum from them now. Customer Service is horrible! Please don't believe all the things they tell you about it all being about you getting preferred treatment. You won't! Please, please save yourself a lot of headache and time and shop elsewhere. From the sale to delivery everything went super smooth from the Charleston location. Nicole helped us pick out a perfect mattress and frame. After wasting $800 a couple times, this one is more expensive but has a 10 year warranty so it's actually a much better value! And 3 years without interest. It is so comfy, we love it! We bought 2 purple mattresses earlier this year. After a month both me and my husband decided the mattresses were not a good fit for us. I called the store because most mattresses come with a sleep warranty. I was told at first they do have a sleep mattresses warranty and she would have someone to call me back. When I was called back the salesperson stated that all purple mattresses except for the ones we bought had a warranty. These mattresses were a big investment for us. We have been purchasing furniture from them for many years 15+ years. I called the company Purple and they told me the store should over a warranty. I love my living room furniture from Big Sandy's, it's beautiful and very well made with a 5 year warranty. The men who delivered the set we're great: efficient, thorough, professional, and respectful. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars overall is the time it took to receive the furniture after ordered and paid for. I was told it would be 6 to 8 weeks with the covid situation, which I understood. However, when the full 8 weeks had gone by, with no answers to when we could possibly get our furniture, I was extremely dissatisfied. I waited another week and then emailed our sales woman. She was able to explain to her manager Adam that we have had no living room furniture for this entire time. He found a partial set in another wearhouse and had it delivered in only 3 days. The rest will be sent in 3 more weeks. I'm please, but the waiting is undesirable, although NOT the store's fault. read more

Buying process was excellent but the moment the papers were signed everything went to shit. The refrigerator was delivered damaged and had to be replaced and after about 2 months or so we started having problems out of the range that we purchased. The range has been repaired 3-4 times within 5 months and they refuse to replace it. They said that LG is responsible for the replacement and LG says that Big Sandy is responsible. So after taxes and the purchase of the warranty, we paid around $2,500 for a piece of shit that they refuse to replace! I would recommend shopping elsewhere with better customer service! read more

The washer and dryer 'fit' in our new apartment's cubby and we are going to make it work, but the entire staff from the salesperson to installer assured us they would fit. They do fit but we had to remove the folding doors. Other than that, we are completely happy. The TV credenza we purchased looked like a solid piece of furniture in the store, but what was delivered was a Sauder kit which took me almost 4 hours to construct which is okay, I just should have been a bit more attentive as to what we had purchased. Went into Big Sandy to do an exchange on a mattress that we were unhappy with. We bought the mattress at the Scott Depot location. We were very unhappy with the customer service at that particular location. We did have to return the mattress though so we decided to try to the South Hills location.
