Our experience here started off well. the salesperson wasn't too pushy but helpful when needed. we bought the couch we needed and felt good about our purchase. After a month wait our couch was finally set to be delivered! Awesome right? Well here's where things take a turn. At no point up until delivery were we told that HALF of our 3K couch was on backorder. When were we informed? As the delivery driver sat in our driveway. Then we were just asked if we still wanted the thing we paid for in full in cash. I called back and a manger couldn't talk to me because he was on a call. The nice salesperson? Told me that it would take three weeks to get my money back. After they picked up what was delivered for return and that would be a at least a week out. So my money would end up being tied up for at least another month or so. Hey they offered me a 100 dollar gift card though. We will wait until whatever paid for is delivered as we have no other choice that doesn't inconvenience us further. We will not be talking their gift card as we don't want anything from them. Ok, so from start to finish, dealing with these people has been so terrible it was almost comic. Sure, finding and buying a sofa was easy enough, and the sales staff was friendly, but that's as far as the good stuff goes. Actually GETTING the thing took nearly a month, which would have been fine if they hadn't told me 2 weeks. The salesman said the delivery people would call me when it was ready, but weeks later I called and was directed to the warehouse where I was told they had almost nothing to do with the show rooms and had no idea what was said in there. I had been told that they could work around my schedule (which is a typical 9-5) for the delivery, but that turned out to be untrue. There is like a 3 hour window where the delivery people may or may not show up. All you can do is hope as you sit on the sad little pallet on your floor that's been killing your butt for a month now. When the delivery people DID finally show up, they didn't call, as promised. I was in bed still when they rang the door bell. They said the last delivery had been nearby so they just thought they'd run over to my place. After putting my pants on and directing them where to put the couch, they bitched and moaned through the whole process. I had bought the thing BECAUSE of it's diminutive size and weight. That thing is smaller and lighter than almost any sofa out there. What would they have done if I'd bought a sleeper? Long story short- avoid this place. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Purchased a couch on 7/15/15. Spent over 5,000 dollars on it. Most expensive couch they had. It was beautiful. By September I had to schedule a warranty home repair. We were still under factory warranty. We also purchased a 5 year extended warranty as well. Home repair came out 6 times over the 6 months and kept repairing it. Finally they said they had to warranty it out and order a replacement. They were supposed to deliver the new piece in a month. They say it is backordered and that it will take another month. So I wait another month. And get the same excuse. Finally I call back and they say they can't get the piece because it's discontinued. So I ask why did they tell me for the past four months that it was on order. So they inform they will pick it up and repair in their shop. So we finally get them to pick up. Said it will be a month. I wait 2 months, I call repeatedly and get sent to voicemail. No one returns my calls. I called 10 times in a couple days and always voicemail. So I call from a different number and they answer. I ask what the problem is and they say repair parts are backordered. Say it will be another month. I say it's unacceptable and they said that's all they can do. It's been another month and I still don't have part of my couch. It was a sectional and I have been without a piece of my couch for over 3 months. This is straight up ridiculous!!!! read more

Bought an Ernestine power lift recliner from Ashley in Charleston, WV, on 2/22/20 for $879.99. Paid $89.99 extra for a 4-year Protection Plan. Coverage included "Breakage of mechanisms including sleeper mechanisms, reclining mechanisms, and heating, power and vibrating mechanisms. Chair got stuck in the up position on 7/23/22 (control button broke). Called the store on 7/25/22 and was told to call the 888 number. Called Furniture Care Protection, Inc (FCP) in Edmond, OK and was told to send pic. Texted pic and said I needed a new five-pin lighted wand. Got text 7/26/22 saying they would process the claim. Nothing. Called FCP 8/2/22 and was told they had to send a technician. Nothing. Called FCP 8/9/22 and was told they had to send a technician. Called the Ashley store manager and was told they had no control over it. Told him they sold the plan in their store; they should be able to do something. Was told to call Ashley Customer Care. Called Ashley Customer Care and was told they had no control over it, I could buy a new wand online, but she would send an email. Today is 9/11/22. Still nothing. Purchased a new, inferior wand online for about $30.00. Wand like the original costs about twice that. Shame on you Ashley and FCP. Zero stars. read more

Bed purchased was a terrible design for delivery and the store/management does not stand behind their products. The delivery men even agreed and said they had trouble with the bed we had chosen with all houses unless the master bedroom was on the first floor. Our house was built in 1993 and is large. But the design of the bed because it was so tall and sent in one piece instead of two for the head board would not fit up our stairs. The management strung us along for weeks about a full refund but never came through. Instead they charged us a 20% restocking fee plus the delivery fee for a bed they knew to have a design flaw. I bought a couch and recliner on November 23rd. The salesman, Lee Miller, told me if I picked something with a certain tag that those were kept in stock. But the one I picked just happened to not be in stock and he said they had several coming in on the 26th and I would get delivery on December 4. December 4th I called the delivery number to hopefully get a timeline when they would be here. The delivery person tells me it won't be in until December 14th. When I told her what Mr. Miller had said, she told me the salesmen don't make delivery appointments. I called the store and left a message that morning but never heard back. I called later in the day and talked to a lady about my problem and she said she would have Mr. Miller call me first thing this morning but surprise surprise his lying ass did not bother to call me. I picked something that was supposed to be in stock because I just moved here from out of state and have no living room furniture so I really need someplace to sit, which I explained to Mr. Miller when I went in. We spent over 600 dollars on a couch that broke after 4 months. We are a family of two people and we are not hard on our furniture. We have had to call 3 different locations and warehouses and still have not gotten them to honor their warranty. They keep promising to send repairmen but the date gets pushed back and back. Every time we call to get help we are met with attitude and refusal to stand by their product. Once they got our money, every single employee with whom we have interacted has been rude, incompetent, or both. We purchased two rooms of furniture and asked it be delivered 100 miles to our home unopened, so we could then take it in an open trailer to our vacation home 400 miles away. Therefore, we hoped for mother nature to cooperate---did not happen for three weeks---rainy weekends. BEWARE!!!!! I ordered a sectional on 6/8/18 & was told it would be in in by 6/22. I called on 6/19 & was told it was backordered until 6/29. Called on 6/29 & was told 7/24. Talked to manager on 6/29 & he told me it would be in 8/3. Called 8/2 & was told 8/10. I tried to cancel order & was told I would have to pay a restocking fee. Called 8/9 & was told 8/17. Called 8/17 & was told 8/28. I told them if they did not call me back with some factual info by end of day I was filling a complaint with the attorney general office needless to say they did not call. Do NOT shop here. I bought some furniture and the salesperson told me they would be having a BIG sale the next day and to check back then and price would be better. I did and the price was the same. I asked about it and she did some "calculating" and reduced the price slightly. I ordered furniture. In one week I get an email showing the item I ordered was significantly reduced. I called to talk to my salesperson and did not get a call back and store "was not taking calls at this time." I went in personally and salesperson would not match the lower price advertised on the Internet on the very same item. I asked to speak to manager and "told he was with people" and couldn't see me. The bottom line is this furniture had 3 different prices in one week!!! I received a Black Friday Flyer. I traveled 1.5 hours to the Charleston WV store only to be told that they would not honor the flyer. They told me that they are franchised and that some districts/stores only honor certain offers. I decided to complain to customer service. Apparently this function is handled by literally hundreds of offices (no centralization of this function). I was transferred three times to the wrong office. One time I waited 28 minutes on hold. I will never buy anything again from Ashley. I drove a total of three hours to be told the ad would not be honored. I received a lecture on franchising. I don't give a darn about their business model. If they are not going to honor there ads put on the front page of the circular "Ashely individual locations decide whether to honor these prices". Delivery is the issue. We purchased a new sectional for our sun room over 4 weeks ago. The people in the store was very helpful but when it came to delivery problems just got worse and worse. We now know Ashley doesn't deliver the items you purchase themselves. They subcontract this out two someone else. The day of delivery two guys show up to our home in a enterprise truck and most of the time during the delivery did not even speak English. During the delivery our door frame and wall was damaged by this delivery crew. This was reported to the local store , and forwarded to another third party company Ashley uses and assigned to a claim specialist. Long story short they offered me 80 dollars for my trouble and that was after 4 phone calls and several emails. If anyone has had damages to their home you know how far 80 dollars goes. We will not make any more major purchases from Ashley again. read more

Our experience has been absolutely terrible. We ordered two couches and a bed and paid over $200 delivery fee. We were told the couches would take about two weeks to arrive and they would call to schedule the delivery. The bed was on backorder so it would be about 6 weeks. We waited 3 weeks and never heard anything so we called and were told that they would see what they could do, but they didn't plan to ship the couches until the bed came. What?? That was never discussed with us. After saying we would have to cancel, they said they would send the couches on the next delivery truck and it would arrive on Weds between 4-6:30pm. We waited around that whole evening and the couches never arrived. Another phone call today and they said it will be another week before they deliver to our area again. Complete joke! Ashley Furniture Home Store had no problems with assisting me in selecting a sectional piece of furniture but now that I have it and it is defected, can not seem to get them on the phone. I have now filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as the WV AG. I have bought several items from Ashley's but when I called to speak with the store manager and was told I could not; I will pay off what I owe but I will never and I mean never step foot in a store that will take your money but when something goes wrong, now the management doesn't want to stand behind the product. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone, customer service is terrible after purchasing product, great up until that point. read more
