0 stars. I ordered a taxi and it arrived an hour late, causing me to nearly miss my flight. The driver parked far away from me, not offering to help make it easy for my bags. The driver was erratic, slamming on her brakes and veering off the road, almost crashing multiple times. She even went 10 mph in a 45 mph zone. She complained about having to drive. I'm not sure what was wrong with her. She asked me for directions to the airport and for me to pull up my GPS. When we arrived, she said she needed my hot spot on my phone so I could pay. Very weird. Would never recommend. And very expensive. The car was disgusting too. read more

Garbage! I called them to have them pick me up at my house on base so I could take my 3 year old to school. A half hour later I called back because no cab had shown up. The woman on the phone said she did not know that they didn't have cabs on base at the time she had taken the call and therefore could not get me one. She said maybe Yellow Cab would have one on base..they didn't. Because if this, my kid never made it to school that day. Extremely unprofessional! How hard would it be to have verified if there were cabs in the area before letting me sit there waiting? How hard would it have been if they did not have this new technology called Caller ID to ask for a call back number? read more

I had to fly to New York at 530 so I ordered a taxi for 430. I planned to be outside 10 minutes early and call to confirm and my driver was pulling up early :) I was nervous to take a cab so early in the morning by myself but I was safe and I enjoyed my ride with the driver having a great conversation! Taxi services are few and far between for Sneads Ferry. They're based out of Jacksonville, and have a minimum charge of $20 for calls to Sneads no matter how short the eventual trip. Somewhat annoying, knowing that the taxi driver was just inside the south gate at Courthouse Bay. Only took about 15 minutes for him to arrive. The minivan was well marked, and not as clean as I've experienced in bigger metro areas (smokes inside the vehicle). He was friendly enough and drove me safely to my destination. If in need again I'd give them a call, but only because other taxis would be coming from Holly Ridge (the one i called was out if business) or further south. read more

This is a review for a particular taxi driver, I dont know his name but I provided a picture of him. One of the rudest taxi drivers I have dealt with. 1) When he pulled up to pick my friends and I up he told me he couldnt wait long for my friend who was locking her door. He started rolling the van forward and continuously braking as if he was going to leave her but was obviously trying to get her to run to the taxi. 2) On the way to our destination my friends and i were talking and he turned his music up quite a bit so that we were almost yelling our conversation. 3) This guy was a bad driver, constantly swerving, almost rear ended a few cars and drove way too fast. 4) He ended up taking us home and in the last mile he turned up the rate on his meter and we were charged 20 cents every 5 seconds or so and this was BEFORE he missed the turn onto our street which he clearly knew very well as he kept asking if we wanted to get dropped off there. And 5) He has a sign posted in his ban that says he wont give you change for $20, $50, and $100. If you get this guy just tell him u only have a credit card because you will get overcharged and carsick! read more

Tony from Brooklyn was my driver! :) He was awesome! I needed a ride to OAJ Airport and called this company. I was staying on the Camp Lejeune base and wasn't sure if they would be able to find the specific street or not. I was a little hesitate because of the lack of reviews and of course the ones that were posted were not the best. But I am happy I called them! Tony was polite and very reliable. He was there exactly at the time that I wanted to leave for the airport and was able to hold a conversation the entire time. My only complaint would be that it was hot in the van, not sure if the a/c was working or not, but regardless--I would definitely recommend this company and Tony! Thank you so much! read more

I've mainly had dealings with "Mikey", he's great cabbie :) My only true complaint about him is that most of the time he shows up earlier than needed, but we'll just sit and chat about things, or he'll just wait till I'm ready. He's a great guy and my five stars go to him. read more

Would give no star's if it let me. Never used there service and never will. Taxi number J89 its a Van ran me off the road today. He decided he was going to change lanes and either didn't look to make sure no one was next to him or didn't care because he came over and the only choice I had was to slam on my breaks (speed was about 50) and run off the side of the road luckily there wasn't anyone right behind me other wise I would have been rear ended. Even after I laid on my horn he still kept coming over like he didn't give a crap and I noticed he never even put a turn signal on, not like it would have helped warn me since I was right next to him and wouldn't have seen it. He did all this to pass one car and get back into his original lane just to turn off onto another road about an 1/8th of a mile from where he ran me off the road. read more

THIEVES AND CROOKS STAY AWAY. I took a cab home from doing laundry at the Wash Bucket, the driver was on his phone the entire time and forgot to turn on the meter. He told me to give me what I thought it would be. (2.5 miles ?? $10.00??) I gave him roughly $10.00 and started getting my laundry out of his van. I went out to get my laptop and he was gone. "Maybe my laptop is in one of the laundry baskets?" I looked and it wasn't. I called the company and explained to them that the driver was preoccupied on the phone and had left before I could get everything out of his van. They go on to tell me that if I want the laptop back I will have to pay for him to come from the mall twice the distance he originally drove me. What could I do but pay them for his mistake.(And yes I offered to throw him a couple bucks for gas thinking I would shoot him $5) I tried to explain to dispatch that I paid the man before I stepped foot on the curb. That I wasn't done getting my belongings out. It didn't matter a $10.00 cab ride ended up costing me $30.00 The dispatch went on to tell the sheriffs dept whom I called that they would have brought it for free later on in the evening...( To cover their butts) They never mentioned this to me. I'll eat the extra $20.00 but if I ever have to take a cab again it will definitely not be Tarheel Taxi!!!!! This is besides the point but I had three bags and two laundry hampers full of laundry. The driver (no older than 25) never left his seat or even offered a hand he simply sat there and watched me load and then unload everything..... Well except my laptop!!! read more
