Really really disappointed with my meal tonight. These guys have gone seriously down hill…read more I loved Kanoodle when it opened! I mean, I'd be in there atleast once a week. Everything so so fresh and tasty! However my last 2 experiences haven't been great! I cut them some slack last time (about a month ago) and said I'd give them another shot tonight. Nothing's changed. I ordered a pad Thai and it was just so bland. My former favourite dish isn't what it used to be. The amount of meat was disgraceful. For a dish costing 10.50 I'd hope to get a little more than 3 prawns and 4 slices of chicken! To make matters worse, the wedge of lime that came on top was nowhere near fresh and it's juice was all over the noodles. I also had to wait over an hour for my food. I really hope the lads can turn this place back around. I used to adore it!

And the flavors are not there with a sweet tangy fish flavor. I asked for on the side. Other than that it's just hot'. The chicken satay with its side sauce is very nice. 4 euro wine. Still nice and fresh.

Kanoodle - Very spicy drunken noodle and partial chicken satay. Noodles just ok. I had to add more flavors to make tangy and savory.

Brightly lit and you can call or walk-in or they have delivery for TakeAway Only. Can get busy, albeit this was Friday, more cooks in kitchen and front help avail around 8 pm. Staff greets and wears a mask... a little hard understanding sometimes, so make sure you always repeat or listen to what you ordered. My order was ready within 20 mins. They'll keep food in a warming case until you pickup. Today ordered aromatic duck starter. €11.50 It's perfect today chopped in fine chunks and strips with the skin. Accompanied with 6-8 pancakes? And julienne carrots, green onions and cucumber. With side hoisin sauce. Make your own delish pancake duck roll. Requested not to overcook which could dry out the duck? It was moist today. For first time, tried the roast duckling dish with plum sauce. It was aromatic plum sauce gravy with chunks pineapples. The 1/4 of the duck €8.70 was moist and had nice fatty and some crunchy darkened skin. I think I would rather have any of the roast ducklings options with sauces on side in future to keep the duck skin more crispy. With A side of egg fried rice. This made a perfect meal for 2. The Singapore curry rice noodles with pork and small shrimp was perfect as I asked for extra curry and they obliged which I enjoyed the dish more spicy. €9 A side of egg fried rice noodle is good to have to accompany the roast duckling saucy dish. €2.80 You get your money worth. OH. You're lucky Raheny. The prices are great here! They've only gone up 1 euro in 7 years! Keep eating here often to keep those prices low! Today I'm a fan!

Loved the vibes of this place and the wait staff, though incredibly busy, still made the time to make sure we had everything we needed as food was delivered to our table. We can honestly say we did not have one bad bite of food. To our surprise, the Spice Bag was the thing we thought was the least impressive of the bunch. Still very good, but everything else was so much better. Wish there was a little more chicken in it. The Pan Fried Dumplings were maybe some the best we ever had. Do not skip the Cucumber Salad, this dish is incredibly underrated. The Chicken Satay was very good, not sure if I would get it again. The Thai Basil Beef was a stunner! Huge flavor bomb! In fact, do not skip any beef dish they have. The Crispy Chili Chicken was the best part of a Spice Bag, without the fries. The Duck Wings had amazing flavor, wished they were served a bit hotter. Everything I am mentioning as a criticism is slight and minor FYI. If we ever come back to Dublin, we are coming straight here! Also, do not sleep on their cocktail menu! Amazing drinks!

This is a regular haunt of my brother's and I'd heard accounts of their prawn and scallop stir fry…read moreso many times, I had to try it. Restaurants come and go in a town like Malahide, where fashions can change like traffic lights, but The Orchid has remained and thrived, in its own, quality driven and industrious style. It's on New St, beside Fowlers Bar and opposite Gibneys. The entrance is unobtrusive, with the main lichen downstairs and the public seating, upstairs. We went in around 6.30 but even though they have a comprehensive and inexpensive early bird, we opted for the a la carte. The staff were friendly, inviting and well informed. My brother ordered the chicken satay starter - there's a touch of Malay about the menu, in parts - I had the pork bok sum(?), y'know that dish made of minced pork and rice noodles with iceberg lettuce leaves? It was delicious. Then we both had the scallop and prawn stir fry. The shellfish is obviously from frozen but it's cooked with delicacy and light to taste. The accompanying vegetables are served at a crispy freshness that lifts this dish beyond the mundane. We washed it all down with a couple of Tsing Tsaos and a bottle of house red. Ball park of €80, in cost but out of the park, in terms of service, attention and atmosphere.

Nestled in the multicultural area of Dublin 1, Lee's Charming Noodles is an unassuming, "blink and…read moreyou'll miss it" little cafe, but don't let its unassuming exterior fool you: it's a Dublin favorite with flavorful dishes that pack a punch. Once inside, the space is compact yet welcoming, with cramped and casual seating, and simple décor that makes you feel like you've stepped into a local favourite rather than a tourist trap. The vibe is relaxed and informal: great for a quick lunch, casual dinner, or late-night noodle craving. At around 7:30pm on Valentine's Day, my party of four arrived at the restaurant, which was packed full. However, the lady at the counter told us that our wait would be shorter if we divided up into parties of two; with two tables, we ended up only waiting about ten minutes. The menu is extensive, with the eponymous noodles (with a variety of soups, fried dishes, etc.), various proteins, and vegetables. Each table comes with salt, pepper, vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil to doctor up your dishes as you'd like, which we appreciated. We ordered their House Special Pan-Fried Noodle (€17.80), with beef, chicken, pork, and prawns. It didn't seem like a large portion, but it was surprisingly filling, and not overly greasy, despite being fried. The noodles maintained an al-dente toothsomeness, soaking up a savory, almost gravy-like sauce, and all of the meat/prawns were cooked nicely. The Szechuan Style Mapo Tofu (€13.80) was truly a surprising delight; a staple dish in almost every Chinese restaurant, Lee's version is absolutely lovely. The tofu is soft and pillowly, soaking up an addictive sauce with that numbing mala spice that keeps you coming back for more. Rice is extra (€2.50), but I would highly recommend it to mix with the mapo tofu. Their Hot & Sour Braised Beef Noodle Soup (€11.80, extra €2 to switch to flat and extra wide hand-pulled noodles) was delicious; topped with succulent chunks of melt-in-your-mouth braised beef, bok choy, and hand-pulled extra-wide noodles soaked up the spicy, acidic broth with a hit of vinegar. Additionally, their Chicken Noodle (€11.80) was another hit; it's a warm, comforting, clean broth, with tender slices of dark meat chicken, and we ordered it with rice noodles. We absolutely loved our meal at Lee's; it's the kind of place where the focus is squarely on the food rather than ambience, and the atmosphere reflects that. We didn't expect to find such a hidden gem (and perhaps the best Chinese food we've had in Europe), offering generous portions and satisfying flavors without a hefty bill. Certainly a recommendation if you're in the area!
