Most of my experience with TCCD was great until then end. I worked to achieve an AA in Business and when time for graduation came they awarded me an AA with no Business major attached. My complaint is that when conversing with the student advisor I was told what classes were needed to receive the degree and I completed them. However, when the actual degree was submitted they told me that no matter what arts degree you strive for you will be awarded the AA first which cancels out the specific degree AA Business. Of course I took more classes than was necessary and costing a great deal more. Be careful attending TCCD you could end up spending a great deal more money and not receive what worked for. read more

Went to Northwest Campus on Marine Creek Pkwy to take Microsoft Office Specialist exam. Nice facility with new computers. I had a problem with the voucher I bought from Certiport and the employee called them and straightened it out for me. The second time I took the test I bought the voucher directly from the college and it was easier and cheaper to do that. Gave 4 stars because they don't offer tests for Office 365 programs. read more

Yesterday I was picking up my sister from campus and my car battery died. My sister flagged down an officer (whose name I unfortunately did not catch). My negative terminal was completely corroded. He along with a student cleaned it up a bit, but no luck starting it so the officer called a mechanic who got it cleaned up enough to jump start it. This school only focuses on blm. You don't hear anything about any other race in their announcements or school newspaper. They don't care about anybody else. Important announcements like school cancelation always comes late or down to the last minute. Incompetent advisors and upper management. Cheap way to get your degree, "success is within reach", most instructors are nice, but do your research first, if they are on a board our chair, avoid them, make sure you check out instructor reviews and ratings, none of them follow a logical pattern online, they make up their own stuff and singe are great, some just our random crap down and it takes two hours to figure out what the heck they want. I get complaints from other students via email and the instructors lite and say that I am the only one that had an issue, like missing quizzes because of the instructor posting them incorrectly, our way out of order, our they changed the directions on a ten page paper the day before it was due... Trinity river is much more up to date, but this campus had a lake. read more

I know this is a great alternative to an expensive University, since TCC is cheap, but you get what you are paying for. I've spent two years at a private University, decided I needed to take a step back from my major and go to an affordable school to change my major and at least get some basics out of the way. Transferred to TCC and am absolutely disappointed. It is always a hassle registering for classes. Classes fill up quick, and when there are multiple restrictions holding you back from registering from a class, like you haven't taken the correct prerequisites, which they won't even warn you about, you have to wait to even get in touch with the registrar or any administration, who will always be busy. Staff are not very helpful. They don't give you all the information you need up front, so you are continually learning their way of things and are set back. Parking is horrendous. I can absolutely tell the difference between this school and a University. I will be elated once I finished this second semester here, and transfer to a University. Honestly, I really have not enjoyed my time here... read more

The Northwest campus is one of the nicer ones other than Trinity River. I took many of my pre req classes at this campus for UTA. I much rather drive to this campus than South. The campus is always clean. You get a nice view of the Lake. It's pretty much covered except parking, so you can stay out of the heat walking from building to building. The staff is friendly here and always pleasant. Parking is plentiful and it never gets congested. read more

I really enjoy this school. I have taken 3 semesters if you include both summers as 1. So far all my instructors were great minus precalc. That one was pretty difficult, but the instructor was nice at least. I've had very little trouble with registering for my classes. They implimented a system where you have priority registering if you have more total credit hours there already. So as a new student you get the last of the pick. However, I feel once you are closer to transferring or graduating, then it's a process you will appreciate. I worked at the library for 2 semesters so far as a work study student which was awesome. All the employees are really fun to work with and it's a very relaxed environment. When you aren't busy, it's a great chance to knock out some homework. I can't speak about other sections with work study programs but other people I've talked to said they were pretty great. All in all this is a nice school. Classes are cheap, and much less difficult than if you were to take them at a university. Plus free math tutoring and writing tutoring. That's always a plus. read more

Oh man, I really hated this place, so much stress, so much rude people. I had a field day signing up for classes. Cops are crooked, in no way is it friendly. Professors are money loving and rude, shout out to tommy Hammiter, robert little, Brittany Randall, Jon James, Amy Mullen, jonathan abel, ya'll messed this up for me with taking my money and I forever will hate ya'll for it. The so-called peers here are weird, some rude, some preppy, most are really there for the obvious, not really talkative. Don't expect to be close to anybody really, basically robots running up with the world. The only think that came out good was a nice walk around a beautiful lake. I would choose to be working at fast food than learning at this place any day. All in all, very miserable time, suicide was actually in mind. No, seriously. read more

Great campus! The buildings are a little out of date but if they just updated the buildings a little it would be great! But they have a great view of the pond/ lake outside. There is police onsite for your protecting. Also close to the highway and pretty good WiFi read more

This college experience totally depends on which campus you attend. You have to be independent, as in look up what you need to get done, who you need to take it to, and when to take it or you won't get anywhere; much like nay other college. I attend the Northwest campus and the Trinity River, downtown. I spend 80% of my time at the northwest campus and I love it. I love my classes and don't have any problems with any of my professors. The campus is clean, the classrooms are relatively new, The professors seem to really enjoy the subjects they teach which is always helpful. I registered for everything at the northeast campus which is nice but i don't love it as near as much as the northwest. Theres a lake right outside, lots of places to sit and chill out, and pretty art everywhere. Only bad part is that there is a collegiate high school on campus so you might have some classes with younger people which can be frustrating in class at times on a maturity level. Parking for sure is NOT a problem. The school gives you a free parking pass and people are always leaving the campus, the parking lot is also not far at all from the campus. I've never had a problem. No complaints! read more
