She yells at learners with anxiety! And says things like "what is wrong with you?" She answers her nanny calls during lessons and arrives late for pickups. I totally agree with Sophie, Olivia,and Susan. Brandon McDaniel is amazing, professional, and prompt with her calls and actions. She is one of the most customer-centric pros I have met. My siblings and I hired Pearl Rose Academy to evaluate my 91yo mother's driving. We had our concerns. Brandon understood and took mom on as a client. They spent 5 hours together and we ended up being reassured that all is safe for our mom, for now. Brandon called me after each lesson and gave me details about mom's skill set. Mom agreed for us to do this and she ended up loving Brandon. We will call Pearl Rose in a year or two or if we see a decline in mom's ability to be safe for herself and others on the road.As you can predict, taking away a parent's right to drive is a hard responsibility. We want mom to have the objective, professional input from Brandon so she can make her own decision when the time comes. We also have the info from Brandon to fairly and objectively determine if mom is safe on the road or not and then make the hard decision if mom decides to drive past her clear capacity to do so. I didn't know what to expect coming to Texas. Unfortunately, driving lessons for adults are nonexistent in TX; but after doing research I found Pearl Rose Academy and I am so glad I made the decision to move forward with this academy. Therapeutic at best, I was able to embrace driving on the road again after getting into a terrible car accident in 2015; Today, I have a newfound confidence and love for driving that I never thought I'd gain in just 6 driving lessons. I even passed my driving test on the first try! This academy focuses on each student having a good understanding of everyday driving; not just driving to pass the test. I highly recommend! read more

Flat out, Brandon is incredible! From the moment I met her I knew she would be the perfect instructor for me. She is one of those people you instantly feel comfortable around because she is so friendly and patient. She plans her routes ahead of time and doesn't use a GPS because she already knows the lay of the land. She has a remarkable cognitive map of Dallas and beyond! I would absolutely recommend Brandon to anyone wanting to learn how to drive. We often talked about the different students she has taught in the past: she has taught everyone from native Russians (who can't speak English) to deaf people (who read lips). Brandon helped me overcome one of my biggest fears in life - driving, and I will always be grateful for her help. I've had four driving teacher before. Two in Austin during in college and one in Dallas a year before learning from Brandon. Brandon was the second driving teacher I had in Dallas. The first teacher made me more scared of driving and made me feel worse about my driving skills. Brandon, however, brought out the best of me and helped me learn something I never thought I'd grasp. What makes Brandon an incredible teacher: she's kind, understanding, knowledgeable, and will help you gain both the competence and confidence you need to be a great driver on the road. She's highly strategic in making sure you gain the most out of each lesson. For example, the way she masterfully sequenced our lessons had trained me to make sure I learned the right skill in the most beneficial order. I learned everything from driving in downtown Dallas, to the highways, to what to do and how to get home if I got lost. I also have a busy schedule, and Brandon was able to accommodate my schedule by picking me up at work during lunch to practice driving. Brandon also understands the mechanics of what makes a good driver and gives great feedback in a helpful way. Now, I drive to work every day and driving has been a seamless part of my everyday life. I recently relocated to Texas and have not driven in about 5 years. I have been driving over 35 years, but felt I needed a refresher course due to the fact that I was not very experienced at highway driving and a little rusty. When I called Pearl Rose Driving School, Miss Brandon called me back immediately and I explained my situation. She was very understanding and said she would be able to help me. I told her I didn't know if I would need one or two or possibly three lessons. She said she would evaluate me on my first lesson and let me know. She picked me up at my home and she drove to an area where I would feel comfortable. We started slow because I was nervous. Within 10-15 minutes, she had me driving on the highway and feeling so confident in myself. Where I relocated from was mostly street driving and at lower speeds. By the end of my lesson I was doing the speed limits of the Texas roads (which also made me nervous at first). She retrained me everything I needed to know in one hour. At the end of the hour, I asked her if I needed any more lessons. Most places would say, yes, you need more lessons....because, let's be real, this is a business. But...Miss Brandon was totally honest with me and said I was good to go. I did not need any more lessons. I totally respect her for this!! I am so happy that I picked her school to retrain. Miss Brandon was the BEST - - sweet, understanding, knowledgeable and caring. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who is new in driving or who just needs a refresher course. This driving school is impeccable. They come to you. They help you find the best testing location that suits your specific circumstances. They prepared my teen for his test and helped him feel confident, despite having a traumatic experience at another local school. He then aced his test with no issues and even fell in love with the rhythm of driving safely and responsibly. We highly recommend!!! read more
