Eclectic atmosphere; it's nice that it has two separate rooms, one with an old piano. I ordered a "grasshopper" with almond milk and could hardly taste the espresso or the creme de menthe. If you're used to Starbucks, as I am, you may not like this shop's coffee. I also ordered decaf but I'm fairly sure I was given regular espresso, as it took me several hours to fall asleep and I felt jittery. Nice friendly staff, though. Yummy baked goods. read more

I order the energy wrap and it was awful. I literally saw the owner take it out of the microwave. Im unsure why this place gets good reviews. The owners are not original owners, they bought the business from the previous owners. Additionally the amount flavored syrups they have is ridiculous. The quality of the coffee beans they use are subpar. They add loads of sugar syrups to mask the flavor of their coffee beans. Also why do you only have regular and extra large cold drinks that is so random. If your curious what a real coffee shop looks like visit Jubala in Raleigh NC. If you enjoy good coffee, you will be dissatisfied with the coffee at Taste Full Beans. I frequent coffee shops often, and two things I look for in good coffee are the consistency of the milk of my latte, and where a coffee shop sources it's beans. It seems as though the owner thinks it's cool to hide the "recipe" of his special coffee blend from his customer. Not sure if he frequents other coffee shops often, but most places I visit are very open about the beans they use. Most coffee shops like to show that they use the highest quality of beans. Do the owners of Taste Full Beans really think people are sneaking around to steal their "special" blend to start a coffee shop and compete? I don't think so. As for milk consistency, the latte is too much like sea foam. Have you ever tried learning latte art? There are some pretty easy tutorials on YouTube. read more

First time visiting and ordered a breakfast burrito and Cuban coffee. I was given a table number and told my order would be brought to me. The only table available was in a corner far from the counter. They brought the burrito to me , which tasted delicious, but I didn't get my coffee. I got up from my table and went to the counter and the gentleman who made it said it has been sitting on the counter for a while. The cashier didn't tell me that they would call out the order and I had to come pick it up plus where I was sitting with everyone talking loudly I doubt I would have heard anyway. The coffee was cold so I asked for a refund because I was finished with my meal at this point. The owner refused to give me a refund but offered to make another which did not taste very good. read more

Should have gone to Starbucks. We drove out of our way to go here because of the Yelp reviews but boy, were we disappointed. I ordered a smoothie, it had the consistency of water. Call me crazy but aren't smoothies supposed to be a smooth, icy texture? There was 1 other person in the coffee shop who ordered after us and he received his coffee & was out the door before my husband got his coffee. I stumbled across this coffee shop one morning and fell in love! The place is rather large with plenty of places to sit. The collection of both local and non-local art was amazing - I wandered around looking at it for a majority of my time there. I got a simple mocha latte and it was delicious. It wasn't too sugary, like a lot of places nowadays. It actually tasted like coffee! I'm definitely going back for all of my coffee needs. 5 stars hands down! read more

We found this place while passing through the area. Very happy we did, even though it was about 12 mins off 40 East. It smells wonderful when you walk in. The employees were very nice and helpful when we were deciding our order to go. We both ordered chicken salad sandwiches (me on wheat toast and husband with a wrap). I had kale slaw on the side and he ordered pasta salad. We ended up ordering an iced skim vanilla latte as well. The latte was amazing - so creamy and delicious and she was able to make it without too much ice. Best I've had in a long time. The sandwiches were also delicious (we ate them in the car) - they tasted very fresh. I enjoyed my kale salad (kale was tender and not too chewy) and husband said that the pasta salad was low on mayo, just how he likes it. Only issue was that she packed our meals sideways, so the salads ended up on top of the sandwiches. All in all, a great find and we would recommend it anyone. read more

The location was not hard to get to. The atmosphere was very cozy and the layout is perfect for groups or solo coffee drinkers. I ordered a hot chai with soy milk and a chai cookie. First and foremost usually I trust people's review on yelp, well I won't be doing that anymore. I'm not sure why this place gets such good reviews I had a terrible experience. All of the staff acted more cranky than liberals were on election night. Also the latte I order wasn't very tasteful and even worse it had coffee grounds at the bottom. The scone I order wasn't fresh and I could tell it was frozen. This cafe should be renamed untaseful beans. I should have just stayed home and eaten my dog's dog food for breakfast because it would have tasted better. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! read more

Stopped in based on all the positive reviews and so glad I did. The place is spacious with plenty of seating areas and art work to admire. Tons of coffee options and there is also a coffee bar serving up 6 coffees for very reasonable prices. (No Starbucks Price gouging here). Tasteful Beans is such an amazing coffee shop! I had never walked into a coffee place as nice as this. It is so beautiful and has artwork and poems on the walls that look great! They also have a piano that you can play, which I loved because my boyfriend plays the piano and when he played it for me there it sounded so beautiful. The atmosphere just made me feel like at home. I just happened upon Taste Full Beans while in the area. I spent an entire morning in this delightful coffeehouse. Scott, the owner, has created a nice environment for Coffee lovers like me. I love all the retro furniture and artwork. The antique chandelier is way cool. The coffees are excellent and everything I tasted was delicious from the scones, to the spinach quiche to the homemade roasted red pepper soup! Best of all is the genuine friendliness of Scott himself and his entire staff. Very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable on all things java (and tea, of course). I wish I lived closer to Hickory. I usually love going here but the last time I went (yesterday) has made me change my mind about going again. I ordered a small iced sugar free peppermint latte with oat milk from the lady at the register who was extremely rude to us, had no personality and seemed like she hated life...as soon as a lady came in with fresh produce, her attitude switched up real quick. She ended up throwing away our receipt instead of giving it to us. Our coffees came out but mine wasn't Iced...which I would've ignored if they were super busy but there was only one other girl in the store. I asked the girl kindly if she could remake it and she just took it from time then started remaking it...then this blonde chick come out asking if I ordered it iced and came to me asking for a receipt which I told her she just crumbled it up and threw it away. Then she walked away and asked the girl remaking my coffee why she threw it away and she said she didn't feel like dealing with it. The blonde chick walked away rudely. I asked if there was a problem and she just gave me so much attitude...I told her I paid $10 for coffee so I just wanted what I asked for and she just rolled her eyes and gave attitude...the girl who remade my coffee ended up being nicer to me after she remade it...such a sad experience. read more

I recently visited "Taste Full Beans" coffee house and was shocked by the lack of customer service. I ordered 2 large coffee's and asked which of the coffee's were the freshest brewed. The very impolite cashier who clearly knew nothing about coffee asked "what did I mean by freshest" and never really answered my question. I began pumping my coffee and the canister containing the luke warm coffee ran out. I asked the worker to make another pot so I could finish filling my remaining cup. He moved at a glacial pace and reluctantly gathered more coffee grounds to brew another pot. As he was about to brew the coffee he then informed me I would have to pay for the coffee again....please keep in mind I have already paid for the coffee, that this so called "coffee house" has still not supplied. I then asked the worker if he could please steam the coffee I already poured because it was not hot and would be getting colder as I waited for my order to be completed. He then stated that I was "being difficult" and would just give my money back and I could go elsewhere for the coffee. I gladly went to the "Tap Room" (a local bar) around the corner and the very nice server there brewed me fresh coffee and insisted I not pay for it and apologized for the way "Taste Full Beans" treated me. I tipped the nice young lady $10 and enjoyed the coffee brewed fresh by a "bar". I will make certain to inform everyone about my experience at "Taste Full Beans" and will never visit it again. read more
