It was one of the first places we noticed because of the concentration of people in its seating area. At each table, almost every customer had a meal going on. On closer inspection it was clear that this was not just some ordinary café, it was place where some quality meals could be bought. There was evidence of cheese platters, pasta dishes, gourmet sandwiches and some scrumptious deserts about so we had a looksee to find vacant tables. To our disappointment there were none. However, we didn't let this perturb us, so we joined the line and decided to order a takeaway coffee each and a giant homemade muffin to share. While our coffees were being made we munched into our chocolate chip muffin, scoffing the treat down in a matter of minutes. Just in time for our coffees to be ready. We walked away, sipping on a well made drinks, contented with what we'd experienced, noting that we should come back to try the mains.

My partner ordered the same meal with a bottle of coke however when we asked a staff member for an extra piece of toast ($1.50) we had to wait a ridiculous 20mins to get it after asking about it. After a friendly staff member taking our order, the long wait for something so simple left me feeling their customer service could be better.

I was furious. They then called back and told me that it was because the shop was 'closing early and their earlier statement had been wrong'. I am apparently getting my money refunded but according to them it will take 2-3 days at the very least. Due to my illness I have set times that I need to eat and set times that I have people available to help me get to and from places to get what I need. I was careful to order so there was plenty of time for them to be able to get my food to me in time, usually they take 30 minutes, which is amazing, but 45 minutes and then I am just told that there will be nothing? Now I am stuck at home, alone, incredibly bloody hungry without the right food to take my medication. Now even if I do find somewhere else to order from it's going to be a good hour before I end up with anything. Bad form guys, total and utter bad bloody form. There are plenty of good thai places around, don't waste your time at this one.

Personal favourites of mine of mine for starters (if they have any) are the Crystal Balls or stuffed chicken wings. Mains I usually attack any of their massamam curries or the tom yum soup. The staff are always around and looking to serve you and fill up your water. Another great thing about Thai Ways is that it is BYO and the closest bottle shop is about ten meters down the street. The food is pretty simple, not totally authentic as far as other Thai restaurants around Brisbane but that probably helps in keeping the prices down. That and its an absolute pleasure to dine there.
