    Lamb jal feraz
    AJ A.

After having tapas for several days, we wanted something with exotic spices and this place was it. We came here because many google reviews and we are glad we did. The food here was incredibly delicious. We ordered butter chicken, lamb Jal Firaz with naan and rice. Butter chicken was a little on the sweet side but it had good flavor decent potion size. The lamb jal feraz was recommended to me and I was happy with it. There was some bell peppers and reasonable amount of sauce which made my meal perfect. What I did not like was the meals we ordered or any meal for that matter did not come with any bread or rice and you had to order that separately. It did not make since to me that they would only sell curry without bread or rice. The bread/naan is 4.00 Euros about $5.50 for just one naan. I would say that is a little steep for just one naan. The service was not that too good but I also noticed they had one waiter.

The food was overall good but amazingly rude service. Would not come back for that reason.

Always amazing to have Indian food in a different place. I had been really wanting Indian food…read moresince the move from SA, and being away gave me the opportunity to get some. Madrid is a cosmopolitan city, and it comes as no surprise that there are plenty of types of restaurants. My Yelp! community led me to this place. We got here, were seated and served papadums with three chutneys...tamarind, mint, and sweet chili. I ordered a chai masala tea. It was one of the more smaller cups for tea that I have had before, but it was plenty. We ordered a chicken curry, a vegetable curry, a basmati rice bowl, and a serving of garlic naan. We tried the tandoori mix appetizer which was a blend of chicken and lamb pieces grilled or baked in a tandoori oven over sauteed onions. It was a good protein starter The chicken Tikka masala came in huge chicken chunks. The sauce was a good balance of flavor and spice. The medium wasn't too bad of a spice level and allowed us to enjoy the other spices. The palak paneer was good too. The spinach was fresh, the cheese was a good blend of taste and texture. The curry in the spinach blend was also delicious Finally, and it was a nice touch the staff there gifted us some angi Lassi shots. It was very good food and an amazing atmosphere. Glad this one was Yelp supported. I Yelp approve.

I got medium and it was perfect. I ordered paratha as well. Buttery, crispy, perfect. Would dine here again.

Looking to appease an intense craving for Indian, me and my friend knew Lavapies would deliver. We…read morewere recommended this place and told it was some of the cheapest around but still the best. We were immediately seated upon walking in but by the time we left a little after 10, the place was packed. The friendly servers were very attentive and let us take our time looking at the menu but were fast to grab our order when we were ready. When we sat, we were given the Indian equivalent of chips and salsa. The green sauce was fresh and tangy and made for a nice starter. For food, we went with chicken tikka, saag paneer, garlic naan and some plain white rice (which you have to order separately). All of it was delicious- especially the chicken and naan. The bill didn't even surpass 20 Euro and we left very full and happy! In a neighborhood packed with Indian restos, I think I will rely on this one for when I'm in the mood.

Another great Indian place in lavapies. Fairly comparable with other Indian restaurants nearby…read more(shapla, for example, which is next door). We got the menu del dia, which is $9.50 for a starter, entree, rice or naan, dessert and a drink. Chicken tikka masala was good, vegetable samosas were pretty average, and dessert was surprising as I ordered 'tarta de zanahoria' and was brought a square of wet carrot shavings. All in all a yummy meal with friendly staff.
