This Donut shop lacks "real" donuts and has very little to offer. Although the shop has donut posters on the wall showing varieties, they don't offer glazed twists indicating it's too much work. Asked about old-fashion donuts, I was told they were too expensive to make. Their selection of donuts are lacking. ( it felt like the owners did not want to go thru the trouble of making donuts). The shop provides pastries, but is not a true donut shop. True donut shops should have a variety to choose from, such as glazed, sugar, chocolate, maple, plain, and maybe crumb. The only donut Item they pride themselves is apple fritters and it was okay, nothing great. I will like to give this shop another try and hope it was just the time of day that their variety of donuts will improve. Athens could use a true and good donut shop . read more

I drove over half an hour last Monday and found they were not open. On Mondays, but the sign on the door said they are open till 2:00 on the days that they are open. Drove back up today at 1:34 to find that they were closed. Checked online where it says they're open only till 1:30. When I came here to post about this I saw another review from 3 years ago with a similar complaint. Seems like they would have had enough complaints about this to fix the problem. Are they just too cheap to have that one line of the signage on the door replaced, or at least taken off? These are some really good donuts. My sister and I talked about them all day after eating them (which took about 30 secs). The blueberry cake and apple fritter were my personal faves but all were great. We also had choc frosted and a glazed stuffed with Bavarian cream. They have like five different fillings you can choose from on the spot to fill certain donuts which is cool too. Friendly service and reasonable prices. The lemon filled was very good, the bread part was surprisingly light and fluffy, The lemon filling was good, could have used one more pump of filling in it( but that's just me, I used to work at a donut shop when I was young and they would let me fill my own.
