We often buy the kids lunch on the way back from shopping at the weekend, and the staff are friendly, quick and rarely make mistakes. They even helped us get a better deal (and thus spent LESS money) at the drive through once. They have the usual breakfast menu and burger menu, and do all the specials. They always give the kids different toys in their happy meals which is great and something the other branches dont think about.

The prices are reasonable, the portions are fit for a King, and the staff are always very polite and helpful. They cater for a variety of traditional dishes here, cooking everything from Korma's to Vindaloo's, (a particular favourite of mine is the Vegetable Vindaloo), as well as dozens of starter-dishes, side-dishes and desserts. The dishes are a little milder compared to other restaurants, but this works in the favour of the establishment as you can taste the food as well as the spices, so as such, a Vindaloo here is about as spicy as a Madras at other places. The restaurant doesn't have an alcohol license though, so whilst they sell soft drinks, they advise that if you want to drink alcoholic beverages to bring your own. Although the restaurant seems small, this is due to the decor and soft lighting, whch helps create a relaxed atmosphere, however there will always be a table available for you, (you can also phone up to reserve a table). The music is just right, (they'll even change the CD for you if you're not too keen on what's being played), and isn't too loud or too quiet. At Christmas, they have an "all you can eat buffet" style service, where you can order as much as you want from the menu for just £20 per person, (this may vary by a few quid, so best to check with the owners for prices nearer the time). They'll also cook a traditional British Christmas dinner using Indian spices in addition to everything on the menu. Put simply, I cannot fault this place.

So I joined the lunchtime queue at the Fish House, located in East Street close to the main junction with Victoria Avenue. A queue, as Prospects College is just down the road and at 12.30pm the guys from this construction college target the chippy for a quick meal. Although the queue, was long service was quick, and I was in and out with my bag of open chips in 5 minutes. Chips you could easily class as the good old style variety thick cut fried just right so they tasted brill. A great lunch enjoyed thoroughly and although I baulked at the price, which I find myself doing with a lot of things at the moment, I guess this might be standard price for all chippy's.

Not enough staff and a piece of food brought to the counter at a time. Disaster. I think they should follow there own branding of "Fast Food". Avoid if in a rush.
