I'm giving this gift shop 4 stars even though I really don't care too much for Star Wars. But, I know there are really die hard Star Wars fans out there and for those people, this shop probably makes them want to purchase everything inside of it. If you ride Star Tours - The Adventure Continues, then you will end up in this shop when exiting the attraction. Although, you do not have to ride the attraction to come into this shop... there is a main entrance next to the entrance for the attraction. This shop is ALWAYS crowded. ALWAYS! Even during the dead season when there are not many people in the Park, you can count on this shop being crowded. Star Wars Geeks as far as the eyes can see. I have taken tons of photos and uploaded them so you can get a good sense of what they have here for sale. Pretty much everything your little Star Wars heart desires. Wanna build your own lightsaber or make your own miniature droid? Well, you can do that here. In need of a Jedi Robe or a Darth Vader hat with Mickey Ears? You can find that here. T-shirts, toys, mugs, lightsaber keychains... check check check! Bottom line, if you're a Star Wars Geek or if you have a loved one who is a Star Wars Geek, then this shop is totally for you. Then again, if you are a Star Wars Geek, I'm sure you don't even need me to tell you this shop is here!

Hello. My name is Mike M. and I am a Star Wars geek. "Thank you, Mike. So what do you have for us today?" Well, I had a slight setback. As we have discussed before, I have a real issue with Star Wars stuff. I mean, I get blinded and dumbstruck when I see the stuff. It's like this odd feeling in my gut. It's butterflies. So, I rode Star Tours at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And after the ride the exit you into a store that is pretty much Star Wars heaven. They have everything to ruin your bank account. Even the really bad stand in pictures where your face is in place of some characters. But that isn't what tempts me. What gets me are the shirts, the Disney figures dressed as Star Wars characters, the build your own droid figures, the build your own lightsabers, the autographed pictures, the paintings and artwork, the statues, the toy ride vehicles, the baseballs, the books, did I mention build your own droids and lightsabers? "Yes, Mike." Oh, okay. Sorry. "So tell the group why this is all an issue for you. Last time you said Star Wars stuff nearly sunk your bank account." Well, yeah. I use to buy almost everything that had a Star Wars logo on it. I felt I needed all of it. I never even had room for half of it and it went into plastic tubs. I spent small fortunes on Star Wars stuff. Walking into this store is dangerous for me. First the prices are quite high so no bargains to be found. Second, my life was in danger as I felt like I was being watched and not by Yoda on Dagobah, either. No, this was a much darker force. It was a pressence I haven't felt for...... well since I got on the ride. There she was. Darth Wifey. Watching my every move. I tried to duck but too late. I knew I better get out of there before I was in a force choke. It was hard to leave the store. There are so many cool things. Donald Duck dressed as Han Solo in a figure!?! Muppets Star Wars figures!?! Signed cast photos? Mickey Star Wars artwork? They had it all. "So, in the end, this 'Darth Wifey', actually saved you from going overboard?" Yeah. I guess so. From a certain point of view. "A certain point of view?!?" Yes. It just made me sneak back in later and buy a shirt "for my buddy back home"!

Go to the store at the opposite end of the park. Better selection and less junk than what they are selling here.

I am a huge fan of Disney in general and wanted to come here specifically to get some ears. I thought about Cinderella or Tiana but the employee I asked said they were both out of stock right now. I ended up getting Fragment inspired ears instead because I thought they were cute, though I did almost end up with a pair of Nightmare Before Christmas inspired ears. While I normally wouldn't spend almost $40 on an item I can't see myself wearing a lot, this was a rare exception that I'm glad I made. The employees were super helpful and things were well organized, even with a huge crowd of people. If I ended up back near this store again and am interested in ears, I feel like I'd have no choice but to come back simply based on how expensive the selection is.

It's massive with a brilliant use of space and has something for everyone. You can spend hours here, and the staff is always polite, friendly and fun. While there are deals to be found at times with close-outs and discontinued items, expect to pay full Disney resort prices here but no matter what you're favorite character or movie is...it will be somewhere in The World of Disney.

If…read moreyou love Disney merchandise but don't love paying full price, the Character Warehouse is absolutely worth a visit. The inventory is always changing, which is part of the fun. Some days it's fully stocked with incredible finds, and other days it's slim pickings. The store has become incredibly popular with resellers (I've even seen people live streaming while shopping!), so if something catches your eye, don't wait too long to grab it. I've found so many cool treasures here over the years--from park merchandise to Disney Cruise Line items--all at fantastic prices. It's essentially an overflow store for merchandise from the parks and cruise ships, so you never know what you'll discover. A few pro tips: there can be a line to get in, especially on weekends and during peak tourist seasons, so plan accordingly. And don't go in with a specific item in mind--this is more of a treasure hunt than a traditional shopping trip. Half the fun is not knowing what you'll find, and when you score an amazing Disney deal, it feels a little like finding pixie dust on clearance.

They had a little bit of everything! They had some incredibly detailed princess dresses that had original price tags that read $300+ listed at 1/3 of the price! I did find a spirit shirt here for $30- I love it just as much as the $100 one I got inside the park. My husband had a field day on tshirts for himself. The parks have a way of making you feel you need it all- this store makes it possible to take a little more magic home. The selection was all over the place from last years items, home decor, lounge fly bags, cruise items, and designer items. When we vacation here again this will definitely be one of our stops! It was close to closing time so we didn't see a lot of employees helping in the store but the cashiers were nice and helped us check out quickly.

The bright colors and paint all over the building spoke to me. Inside, it is pretty similar to other gift shops int he area. My hotel was on the same street as this gift shop. There are a total of 4 gifts shops (to my knowledge) in the same area. I hit all 4 just to check them out and compare. Also, I needed umbrellas, socks, and other miscellaneous things during my trip. I came in here looking for an umbrella and ended up looking at other random things. I think every gift shop I went into had crocodile heads and teeth lol This is odd to me but normal for Florida I guess lol

Yes, the pens I saw at the Publix were a dollar cheaper here, so if you want to get a few points of memorabilia from the trip, this isn't a bad place to do it. Toys, luggage, shot glasses and more... not all of it Disney or Universal related, there was a fair amount of just random Florida and Orlando merchandise, too. They didn't have the bead/charm items we were looking for, so we moved on, but others may find interest here (and cheaper than some of the parks though not necessarily any indication of quality or style).

One suggestion: because it can get extremely hot, it would be great if they added more misters or cooling areas throughout the Springs. There isn't a lot of shade, so walking around outside can be a challenge unless you duck into the stores or restaurants for a break. The free parking is definitely a plus. You do have to go through a security screening before entering Disney Springs, but it was a smooth process and completely understandable. Just be prepared--it's very easy to spend a few dollars here! Between the Disney merchandise, treats, and unique shops, there are plenty of tempting things to see. Overall, it's a fun place to visit, especially with family, and a great way to enjoy some Disney magic without needing a park ticket. I'm sure some day they will end up charging for this area, but I hope not.
