Being new to the Joplin area I had to see what ramen joints were around and this place was by far rocks my world. My waitress was super polite and really catered to my service. Love the ambiance, not cluttered, but open and inviting. Could use some AC in there or some fountain drinks. Ya gotta pay for soda by the can. Now for the food because that's always important. I got the Dynamite Roll. The roll was huge for only 5 pieces and was completely deep fried as a whole. Personally, deep frying them one at a time would be better but they have their own method. Also got their Spicy Tonkatsu ramen, this was so good. They give you an option of spicy you want your broth from 1-5, 1 being mild to their hottest at level 5. If it comes spicier sign me up. All in all it was a great experience and plan to be back many more times. read more

I ordered the takoyaki and a few sushi rolls, the takoyaki was a bit undercooked but not bad. The sushi rolls were not good at all. They barely put any fish on the rolls and it's not good quality. Would not go back and would not recommend. read more

Honest review by a ramen lover... I had the tonkotsu ramen. Good broth. Good noodles. Good toppings. Someone else said it was like package quality noodles. It is NOT. Very good ramen by Joplin standards. We were pleasantly surprised! The maki sushi was okay. The sashimi was pretty good... just a little thrown off that a cooked piece of ebi (shrimp) was part of the "sashimi". Overall, we were happy with our meal. Service by Mei was outstanding! Tatsuki delivers a decent bowl of ramen that's satisfying, but just shy of great. The broth was comforting and the noodles had a nice texture, but the overall flavor was a little muted--it could've used a touch more depth or seasoning to really stand out. That said, it's still a solid spot if you're craving a warm, filling bowl. Service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough. So, the service was good. The restaurant was pretty busy so obviously people do like it. That being said, I ordered the ramen and unfortunately I have to agree with another reviewer... I've had better packaged ramen. Very bland and noodles not up to par (for my taste). My daughter got the miso broth soup and it was more flavorful. My husband got a beef and rice dish which he was not very impressed with. After adding hot sauce to it, he said it tasted better. Unfortunately I feel we have better options in Joplin so will most likely not revisit this restaurant. read more

The restaurant is clean & bright with lots of seating! Our waitress was so friendly & gave us suggestions, since this was our first ramen experience! Ordered ramen but it feels like I ate instant ramen with additional toppings. We also ordered their sushi rolls and the rice was super thick. I can honestly roll better than that. Got my kid a bento meal and the rice was still raw. I wish they would improve the food as well as service. Had to ask for plates and chopsticks ourselves. read more
