We were able to get an appointment quickly with a piercer who has been in the business for 17 years, which is great to have someone with all that knowledge. It took about 20 minutes to get through the paperwork and have the earrings sanitized and when my daughter sat down she spent additional time walking her through all of the steps and expectations - we were never rushed and all questions were respectfully answered. When my daughter got nervous she stopped and calmly walked her through it and waited until she was fully ready again. The piercing sites were marked where my daughter was able to see before hand and adjust as desired, everything was cleaned and then after the piercing she applied a cold saline cloth which my daughter loved. It has been two weeks and so far the piercings haven't caused any pain - we followed the advice to not turn and clean with saline spray only as needed, which is the exact opposite advice I received decades ago and it has worked fantastically. Also, the earring she got had flat backs so they don't poke into her head, which has also provided better comfort then the shopping mall piercing I received as a child. Additionally, we go back after 8 weeks for them to update her earring size, which provides a smaller rod through her ear since the current earring is longer to account for swelling - this is a great option which I wasn't expecting, there is a lot of thought that goes through this entire process! I highly recommend this for a first piercing for your child. It is far more expensive than a mall piercing but such a better experience that it is definitely worth it!

I had to change them out after a few days bc they were embedding and so painful it was waking me up in the middle of the night throbbing. These were piercings number 16 and 17 for me, so I pretty much know the ropes, and this was a jewelry issue for sure. If you go to get piercings here, make sure to advocate for yourself and ask for the longer bars and you should be good.

With that being said, I spontaneously went on yelp this morning and just typed in "Tattoos" (but in all caps because I was excited). Fish Ladder Tattoo was the first outta the bunch; I read ONE review, hopped in the car and drove over. I said "Eh, Ill just check it out. See what their prices are that sorta thing" Well, when I got there it just blew me outta the water. Everyone was friendly, they were FUNNY, not just regular 'joe-schmoe' funny but they had personalities...personable personalities. It was awesome. They offered me a groovy deal on some Sailor Jerry work and I love it. Its by far the best tattoo Ive got. The ambiance of the bathroom is homey and had so many different artworks on the walls that you can look at while you're using the bathroom. Botched Septum Piercing -- DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE…read more The piercer assured me she was able to do septum piercings and she was confident in the placement of my piercing. When the piercing was happening, it took her a long time to get the needle through, and it hurt more than it should have, but because it was my first time getting a facial piercing I didn't know what to expect. A week later, I came in a second time because the piercing was too tight and it was creating indents in my nose, and she widened the piercing for me. At that time she didn't note that anything was wrong with my piercing, but she did encourage me to manually move it into the proper downward position because mine was stuck sticking straight out. I tried moving it into the position as directed but it wouldn't stay. Initially, I thought it was an anatomy thing, but after looking up similar cases online, I began to worry it was pierced improperly. I sought a second opinion from a more experienced piercer and she confirmed that Serenity had pierced my nose not through the sweet spot, but instead through the hard cartilage. Now I have to wait for my septum to heal fully before I can get it repierced properly. Two stars instead of one because they did give me a full refund and Serenity seems like a genuinely kind person, but I don't believe she should be doing any piercings until she does another apprenticeship.

I'm also a bodybuilder, which makes getting tattoos more complicated as they have to compliment my muscle structure for when I'm on stage.
